Abstract

The seat base comprises a column (16) which is pivoted on a cruciform sleeve (22). This can slide along a horizontal bar (20-2) which forms two feet with wheels (24). The other two feet (20-1) are attached to the sleeve by pivots, so that the base can be folded down parallel to the bar.

Description

The present invention relates to a support.

  seat, more particularly intended for an armchair or a shell for people with reduced mobility or affected

  diseases like myopathy.

  For the rest of the description, we will call user these people regardless of the condition to which they are subject and by shell the seat on which they

are placed.

  The shells for users are attached to a seat rigidly connected to a support provided in the lower part with wheels facilitating movement. The main drawback of these supports is that they are bulky. 10 Furthermore, when the user, in particular a child, must be installed in a vehicle, said shell is transferred to the car seat and connected to the safety straps. There then remains the support to be placed in the vehicle, but its considerable bulk due to the dimensions necessary for its stability

problems.

  The present invention seeks to overcome the drawbacks of the supports of the prior art by proposing a shell support, of simple design, capable of

  to be detachably connected to the seat and space-saving.

  To this end, the subject of the invention is a support for a seat receiving more particularly a shell for a user comprising a base with four horizontal feet, equipped with rolling means and a vertical mast, characterized in that it comprises a nut mounted in translation along two fixed feet, hingedly receiving the other two feet so

  allow the folding of these feet against one of the other two fixed feet.

  According to one embodiment, the support 10 comprises a mast 16 connecting the base 12 to the fixing means 14. Preferably, this mast is telescopic, means being provided for adjusting and maintaining the height of the seat by adjusting

the length of the mast.

  The base 12 comprises four feet 20, connected by means of a nut 22

at mast 16.

  Advantageously, the feet 20 are arranged in a horizontal plane and comprise at their distal end rollers 24 ensuring the mobility of said support. In known manner, these rollers 24 can be provided with a brake or with locking means.

  To ensure the stability of the support 10, the feet 20 form regular angles between them, and, according to the embodiment chosen, are arranged at right angles. To reduce the size of said support, two legs 20-1 are articulated and 15 capable of occupying two extreme positions, a first position called

  unfolded, illustrated by Figure 1, in which the feet 20 form between them substantially regular angles so as to ensure good stability, and a second position called folded, illustrated by Figure 2, in which at least one foot 20-1 is likely to pivot so as to come against another foot 2020 2.

The 20-2 feet are fixed.

  According to the chosen embodiment, two articulated feet 20-1, opposite, are capable of pivoting relative to the nut 22 so as to come both

  against one of the other two fixed 20-2 feet.

  The feet 20-2 consist of the same element, in this case a tube, continuous so as to allow a displacement in translation of the nut 22,

  sliding mounted on the same tube.

  Advantageously, for each foot 20-1 capable of pivoting, at least one lateral tie rod 26 is provided for maintaining said foot in the unfolded position and for

  Then, the operator folds at least one of the two feet 20-1 backwards in this case, according to the curved arrows indicated in FIG. 1.

  As the two lateral tie rods 26 are immobilized at point 26-2, the folding movement of at least one of the feet causes the translation of the

nut 22, forward.

  The support is then in the position shown in FIG. 2, as regards the feet 20-1.

  The operator can then lock the nut 22 again in this position

  thanks to the locking means 30. The support remains in the folded position.

  To improve the compactness of the support in the folded position, the mast 16 is also capable of occupying two extreme positions, a first so-called unfolded position 25, illustrated by FIG. 1, in which it is in a substantially vertical erected position, and a second position said folded, illustrated by the figure

  2, in which the mast 16 is folded against one of the fixed feet 20-2.

  To this end, the mast is articulated at the bottom relative to the nut 22.

  Advantageously, a vertical tie rod 36 is provided to hold the mast in

  vertical position and to ensure its folding.

  This tie rod is advantageously interposed between the tab 28 and a collar 38 5 secured to the mast 16. The geometry is adapted according to the dimensions of the

  different parts as will be indicated in the operation described below.

  Thus, when the operator folds the lateral feet 20-1, the translational movement of the nut 22 causes the mast foot 10 16 to move forward.

  As the mast is retained by the end 36-1 of the vertical tie rod 36 relative to the fixed point constituted by the tab 28 on which the other end 30-2 of the vertical tie rod is attached, this mast 16 folds down to arrive at a

  position substantially parallel to the corresponding foot 20-2.

  It is noted that the single blocking from the locking means 30 of the nut 22 also makes it possible to block the mast since the different movements are linked.

  According to another characteristic of the invention, the fixing means 14 comprise a tube 40 attached to the upper end of the mast, to which a seat can be secured by clipping or by any other means.

  Preferably, this tube 40 can pivot in a substantially vertical plane relative to the end of the mast thanks to an articulation 42. Advantageously, means 44 for allowing the pivoting of said tube are also provided, for example in the form of a gas spring, a first end 44-1 of which is secured to the mast while the other end 44-2 is secured to the tube 40. According to this embodiment, the tilting of the seat can be obtained by pivoting the tube 40 relative to the mast 16 by means 46

  for operating this jack 44, in this embodiment, a manual lever.

  It can be seen that the folding gives the whole an optimized compactness both for the feet and for the mast thanks to the sliding nut. This makes it possible to have feet with a long length thus conferring a large surface

  lift while constituting only a reduced volume when folded.

  We also note that the elements constituting the support are elements

  reliable mechanical and that the risks of non-operation are eliminated.

  We also note that the nut locking means 30 ensure the blocking of the support in the erected position or in the folded position, with a member

  unique and with a single maneuver very simple to execute.

  Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described but covers all variants, in particular with regard to the materials and the

shapes of the different elements.

Claims (8)

REVENbICATIONS   1. Support for seat receiving more particularly a shell for a user comprising a base (12) with four feet (20) horizontal, equipped with means (24) for rolling and a mast (16) vertical, characterized in that it comprises a nut (22) mounted in translation along two fixed feet (20-2) 5, hingedly receiving the other two feet (20-1) so as to allow the folding of these feet (20-1) against the one of the other two feet (20-2) fixed.   2. Seat support according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a lateral tie rod (26) interposed between each of the two feet (201) 10 articulated and fixed at one end at (26-1) on each foot (20 -1), near the nut (22) and at the other end (26-2) on a tab (28) secured to one of the feet (20-2) fixed.   3. Seat support according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the mast (16) is hingedly mounted on the nut (22) and in that a vertical tie rod (36) is interposed between this mast and this nut, one end (36-1) of this vertical tie rod (36) being articulated to the mast at a fixed point (38) the other end (30-2) of this same tie rod being integral with a fixed point (28 ) united a fixed foot (20-2).   4. Seat support according to any one of the preceding claims 20, characterized in that the nut (22) carries means (30) for   locking in translation with respect to the fixed feet (20-2).   5. Support for seat according to any one of claims   above, characterized in that to ensure the stability of the support in   position of use, the feet (20) form regular angles between them.   6. Support for seat according to any one of claims   previous, characterized in that it comprises means (14) for fixing a seat provided for receiving a shell, comprising a tube (40) attached to the upper end of the mast (16), this tube (40) being mounted pivoting around a joint (42) in a plane substantially vertical with respect to the end of the mast (16).   7. Support for seat according to claim 6, characterized in that it comprises means (44) for allowing the pivoting of said tube relative at the mast.   8. Support for seat according to claim 7, characterized in that the means (44) for allowing the pivoting of said tube relative to the mast include a gas spring, a first end (44-1) of which is secured   to the mast and the other end (44-2) is secured to the tube (40).
