Definitions
- the invention relates to an electromechanical primer, i. a primer with an explosive mixture for optional electrical or mechanical initiation of the explosive mixture, with an outer metal well, an electrically conductive pole piece, a Zündmaschinenmay body of an electrically insulating material with a through hole, on the top of a Zündmaschine is arranged and with a on the Explosivstoffmischung patch abutment, wherein in the bottom of the metal cup a hole is introduced into which the pole piece protrudes and the pole piece is electrically connected to a second pole of the ignition bridge and the first pole of the ignition bridge is electrically coupled to the metal cup.
- ANZDH primer caps
- the mechanical ANZDH are simple containers which are filled with an explosive mixture and which optionally contain an anvil in the form of an anvil (in some ANZDH this abutment is located in the cartridge case).
- anvil in the form of an anvil (in some ANZDH this abutment is located in the cartridge case).
- To trigger a striker strikes the floor of the ANZDH and presses it quickly, so that the explosive is crushed between the deformed soil and the anvil and its chemical reaction begins.
- electrical ANZDH In electrical ANZDH electrical energy is converted into heat and when the deflagration temperature reaches the chemical reaction of the explosive material begins. The heat is generated by a simple ohmic resistance (such as a heating wire). The functioning of both classes differ thus clearly. Due to their simplicity, mechanical ANZDH are small enough to be used in small-caliber ammunition. Electrical ANZDH are usually larger than mechanical ANZDH because of the additional isolation effort and the ohmic resistance and are therefore generally not suitable for use in small-caliber ammunition.
- the invention has the object of developing an electromechanical primer so that it has approximately the dimensions of a classic mechanical primer so that you can use it in small caliber ammunition.
- the electromechanical primer invention has approximately the dimensions of a classical mechanical firing cap.
- the pole piece is used as an electrical connection element, as in the prior art, but it also serves as an impact surface for a firing pin.
- This is made possible on the one hand by the fact that a part of the explosive mixture rests on the support surface of the pole piece and the anvil is guided to above the support surface.
- the distance counter bearing and pole piece is minimized, resulting in the low height results.
- the explosive mixture is moved much further down to the bottom of the metal cup. A large area of the height is filled by the counter bearing.
- the anvil has a tip and engages at a distance the inner circumferential surface of the through hole in Zündmaschineni emotions the tip of the thrust bearing.
- the Zündmaschineni Arts therefore claimed no additional height, as he does not increase the distance abutment to the support surface.
- the pole piece consists disc-shaped of two mutually offset in height levels, wherein the first plane forms the support surface for the explosive mixture and the second level, the tip of the anvil offset in height to the first plane surrounds and forms a contact surface for the Zünd stipulatenyes Economics.
- the pole piece is thus extremely flat without restricting the function. Since the first level projects into the hole in the bottom of the metal cup, the used height of the pole piece is the thickness of the second level.
- the anvil is an anvil and the tip is a funnel-shaped anvil tip.
- Anvils are sufficiently low in deformation and are well suited as an abutment.
- a metallic inner sleeve is used in the metal cup, which presses the ZündGermanmaschineni emotions on the contact surface of the pole piece and the first pole of the ignition bridge electrically coupled to the metal cups.
- the inner sleeve is angled at its end facing the ZündGermanmaschinenitechnik end by 90 °, so that a flat surface is formed, which presses on the contact surface of the pole piece.
- the anvil closes with the inner sleeve and is advantageously formed three-winged.
- the anvil is advantageously formed with outlet openings for the ignition gases.
- the underside and the through hole of Zündmaschinenunities are metallized and are electrically connected to each other and is disposed on the edge of the top of a metallic edge contact, which is electrically connected to the first pole of the ignition bridge and is the second pole of the ignition bridge connected to the metallization of the through hole.
- Zündmaschinenyes emotionss are known per se.
- the electromechanical primer cap for small caliber ammunition according to the invention is preferably used.
- FIG. 1 shows a sectional view of an inventive electromechanical primer and FIG. 2 a plan view of the ignition bridge carrier body 5 according to FIG. 1 ,
- the primer (ANZDH) is designed so that the user has free choice as to how he intends to initiate the ANZDH - each ANZDH also offers the possibility of electrical or mechanical initiation.
- a metal cup 1 is used. At the bottom there is an insulation 2 and a pole piece 3 made of metal, which projects into a hole 4 in the bottom of the well 1. Pole piece 3 and metal cups 1 form the two electrical contacts for the electrical initiation. The pole piece 3 simultaneously forms the impact surface for a firing pin (not shown here) in the mechanical initiation.
- a Zündmaschinennic 5 is a thin ring of an electrically insulating material on which an ohmic resistance is applied as ignition bridge 9 exists (see below).
- a metallic inner sleeve 6 holds on the one hand the insulation 2, the pole piece 3 and the Zündeaun uman 5 at the bottom of the metal cup 1 and on the other hand, the inner sleeve 6 makes electrical contact between the metal well 1 and the top of Zündmaschinenany 5.
- the inner sleeve 6 has a relatively large hole in the bottom and has contact with the Zünd stipulatennic 5 only at its upper edge.
- the interior of the inner sleeve 6 is filled with an explosive mixture 7.
- an abutment 8 here an anvil, placed, which closes with the inner sleeve 6 and looks a little beyond.
- the anvil 8 is shown here as anvil, can also be replaced by a corresponding abutment similar shape in the cartridge case.
- An important design feature is the elongated shape of the anvil 8, which ensures a small distance between the tip 15 of the thrust bearing 8 and the pole piece 3. This small distance is necessary for a reliable mechanical initiation.
- the Zündmaschinenitechnik 5 (see also FIG. 2 ): Its base material is non-conductive. The outer surface of the Zündmaschineniibilitiess 5 is free of conductive surface coatings and acts insulating.
- the bottom surface 12a of the ignition bridge carrier body 5, the inner circumferential surface 12b of the through hole 13 in Zündmaschinenitechnik 5 and the inner 12c and outer part 12d of the upper surface have been made conductive by coating (eg by gilding).
- an ohmic resistance is applied as ignition bridge 9, preferably as a narrow film of conductive material, which establishes electrical contact between outer part 12d of the upper side of Zünd stipulatenyesibilities 5 and inner part 12c with the through hole 13.
- ignition bridge 9 preferably as a narrow film of conductive material
- the thin film at the contact point Since the thickness of the film at the contact point, ie the ignition bridge 9 is very low and the contact is also very narrow, has the thin film has a relatively high electrical resistance compared to the rest of the ANZDH (which, however, is usually only in the single-digit ohm range). If current flows, the film and the explosive 7 located thereon heat above the deflagration temperature and initiation occurs.
- An essential feature of the invention is that at least part of the explosive mixture 7 rests on a support surface 14 of the polar body 3. This ensures that during the mechanical initiation, the explosive mixture 7 is squeezed between the support surface 14 and the tip 15 of the anvil 8, thereby initiating it.
- the anvil 8 here the anvil, is usually used in dreierieliger execution (but there are also other versions conceivable), the average in FIG. 1 not symmetrical, because on the left one of the openings was detected by the cut and right one of the wings.
- the background image shows a parabolic line representing one of the outlet openings 17 between the wings. Through these outlet openings 17 between the wings of the anvil, the igniting gases can escape upwards and reach the cartridge in a propellant powder and ignite this.
