Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a movement cushion for large-scale deep relaxation and reorientation of the musculature, which can be pneumatically regulated, filled and emptied.
  • Massage machines including massage cushions, are known in many embodiments.
  • Massage cushions are usually designed to relax tense muscles locally. Most of the time local pressure is exerted on the musculature, which leads to tensions being repaired.
  • a pneumatic massage cushion which exerts a locally limited pressure on the musculature via a pressure element in the center of the cushion.
  • the WO 01/62201 A2 describes another massage system.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide an improved motion pad.
  • Such an improved movement pad should preferably not only cause a localized relaxation effect, which remains limited to individual muscles, but by moving entire muscles cause a deep relaxation and reorientation of whole muscle complexes. Preferably, this optimizes the voltage patterns within the muscle complexes.
  • a further object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic movement cushion which has an optimized supply hose guide, which counteracts tangling and entanglement of the supply hoses and can be used flexibly.
  • the simplest possible placement of the movement cushion under the respective muscle complex is to be made possible, for example by the user himself.
  • the present invention relates to a pneumatically regulated movement pad, which consists of several separate and independent chambers, which can be filled and emptied by means of a suitable medium via a respective supply hose.
  • the separate and / or independent chambers are filled and emptied via only one tube per chamber.
  • the filling and emptying of the chambers is therefore preferably via the same tube, which is why the number of tubes can correspond to the number of chambers. This allows a reduction in the number of supply hoses, which simplifies the handling of the cushion and counteracts tangling and entanglement of the supply hoses.
  • the movement cushion according to the invention has at least one first chamber with a first supply hose, a second chamber with a second supply hose and a third chamber with a third supply hose, wherein at least one of the supply hoses extends between two adjacent chambers.
  • the supply hose which extends between the adjacent chambers, is preferably from an outer cushion edge region between the adjacent chambers to the cushion center area, in the case of a symmetrical embodiment, for example, the middle of the cushion, guided and preferably extends transversely to the extension direction of the movement cushion.
  • the movement cushion according to the invention has at least one first chamber with a first supply hose, a second chamber with a second supply hose, a third chamber with a third supply hose, and optionally a fourth chamber with a fourth supply hose:

  • the supply hoses of all chambers extend in a guide channel between two adjacent chambers.
  • the third supply hose extends between the first and second chambers.
  • the supply hoses of the third, fourth, and supply hoses of each further optional chamber may extend between the first and second chambers.
  • the supply ports of the third and fourth chambers may extend between the first and second chambers.

  • the guide channel preferably extends transversely to the direction of expansion of the pad or the chambers.
  • most, more preferably all supply hoses extend substantially in one direction away from the movement pad. This allows a simple placement of the movement pad under the user's body and the simplest possible guidance of the supply tubes to a filling device connected to the pad such as e.g. a compressor.
  • most, more preferably all supply hoses extend substantially unidirectionally away from the movement pad and are bundled, stabilized and protected from damage by a shroud leading from the edge of the movement pad to the filling device, particularly one to the compressor.

  • the simultaneous filling and emptying of adjacent or opposite chambers leads, for example, to an alternating pattern of movement.
  • one, two, three or more of the pad segments may be filled and / or emptied simultaneously.
  • Advantageous movement patterns which can be implemented thereby, are alternating upward and downward movement, with the body, for example the side regions of the pelvis, being alternately raised and deposited.
  • Another movement pattern is an alternating up and down movement along the spine longitudinal direction. In all movements that are transferred from the pillow to the user, the spine is put into a two-dimensional or three-dimensional movement.
  • the chambers are randomly filled and emptied. Without wishing to attribute this to a specific cause, it is believed that the unpredictability of the filling can stimulate the nervous system.
  • the pillow is preferably used while lying down.
  • the user lies with his back on the movement cushion.
  • the resulting from the filling and emptying movements are transferred directly to the user.
  • the pad is placed in the lower spinal region cranial to the pelvis.
  • Oval or elliptical pillows are preferably positioned with the long side along the body axis.
  • the resulting movement pattern causes whole muscle complexes to relax rather than just individual muscles as through massage. This achieves a deep relaxation of the musculature, since the tension patterns within the musculature are optimized.
  • the movements transferred from the motion pad to the user largely move the skeleton.
  • the muscles, stimulated by this movement, can relax and reorientate.
  • the muscles are considered as muscle complexes that are addressed in the collective.
  • the mobility of the spine is addressed and improved.
  • the body of the user is thus transferred in the processed regions in a new muscle tone.

  • the nursing effort which is usually associated with the mobilization of paraplegics, bedridden, old people, patients with injuries of the musculoskeletal system, cancer patients and disabled people, is high and can be reduced by the movement cushion according to the invention to a minimum of time and labor intensive effort.
  • a further advantage that results when using the movement cushion is a mobilization of the patients without burden on the nursing person. So z. B. back problems of the nursing staff can be prevented by overuse. If necessary, the pillow can even be used entirely without nursing staff.
  • it can be activated via a timer or operated by the user himself. This allows, for example, paraplegics who can not move their spine independently to independently control the movement patterns.
  • Movement-based mobilization may also counteract the development of typical physical conditions common to paraplegics, bedridden, elderly, musculoskeletal, cancer and handicapped people, such as decubitus ulcers, disc herniation, hip osteoarthritis, knee discomfort, muscle tension, bedsores , Pressure points, joint stiffness, venous insufficiency, pneumonia, sensory deprivation, constipation, incontinence, muscle atrophy, contractures and thrombosis. A regular transfer of bedridden is also less often required.
