Definitions
- the present invention relates to a measuring module according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the DE 198 35 094 A1 discloses a device for spectral measurement of objects in which the object is illuminated with radiation of a wide spectrum and radiation reflected or transmitted by the object is directed onto a receiver arrangement in such a way that the entire receiver arrangement receives radiation from the same spatial area, the radiation being spectrally divided .
- Such measuring modules according to the preamble are well known from the prior art and are used, for example, to analyze biological samples such as blood or urine or environmental samples according to the measuring principle of reflectance, that is to say the light diffusely reflected on the sample. For this it is necessary that a secondary radiation excited by the measuring radiation in the sample is filtered so that the measurement is not falsified. Direct reflection can also be used as the measuring principle.
- these filters are designed as separate components, for example made of glass. The processing of such filters made of glass is expensive and therefore expensive.
- secondary radiation is understood to mean the radiation which can have a negative influence on the actual measurement signal, such as, for example, intrinsic fluorescence of the sample, secondary maxima of the light source or transmitter, ambient light, etc.
- a measuring module is understood to be a measuring unit which receives and detects the radiation 12b reflected by a transmitting device on a sample to be examined by means of a receiving device.
- the transmission channel and the reception channel are understood to mean any path that leads a measuring radiation from a transmitting device to one or a plurality of samples and carries the reflected measuring radiation to a receiving device.
- the filter is preferably designed as a filter layer, the layer having to comprise a plurality of layers and thus being designed as a layer system.
- the layer system can comprise the materials silicon oxide, tantalum pentoxide and / or titanium oxide in an alternating order.
- the entire filter layer preferably has a thickness of greater than 0.5 ⁇ m and less than 4.5 ⁇ m.
- the individual layers of the layer system preferably have a thickness of greater than 10 nm and less than 300 nm.
- the filter or the filter layer can thus be understood as an interference filter.
- a filter should be understood to mean any optical unit that selects the incident secondary radiation of a sample. Also disclosed here is a method for producing a measuring module according to the invention with the following features: producing a first and second focusing device using plastic; Overmolding of the first and second focusing device in such a way that a housing is formed; Evaporation of a filter on the second focusing device.
- the filter is mounted on at least one of the two focusing devices 5; 6 evaporated ( Fig. 2 ). It can be advantageous on both focusing devices if, for example, secondary radiation occurs on the lighting unit or transmitter unit.
- Fig. 2 shows such a schematic diagram with at least two filters 11; 11 '.
- the filter can also be designed such that it adapts directly to the surface of the focusing device, see FIG. 11 '. It is both possible that the first and second focusing devices are manufactured in a first method step and then the two focusing devices are extrusion-coated with plastic, so that a housing is formed. Alternatively, it is also possible to interchange the process steps in time and thus inject the plastic housing first. Processes of this type are also known to the person skilled in the art as two-component injection molding processes.
- the step of vapor deposition of the filter is preferably carried out by a PVD vapor deposition process using an ion beam-supported plasma source.
- a PVD vapor deposition process using an ion beam-supported plasma source.
- the measuring module comprises at least one transmission device 7.
- the transmission device is designed as one or a plurality of light-emitting diodes.
- the one or the plurality of light-emitting diodes emits a quasi-monochromatic measuring radiation 12a in the range from 300 nm to 1300 nm.
- the measuring radiation has a wavelength of 365 nm.
- Downstream of the transmitting device is a first focusing device 5 in a transmitting channel 3, which is designed as a focusing beam optics and focuses the measuring radiation on the sample 9 to be examined.
- the sample 9 is held, for example, in a separate sample holder, not shown, wherein the sample holder can be designed to be able to hold several samples.
- the focusing beam optics is designed as a converging lens made of plastic, the production preferably taking place using the injection molding process.
- the radiation reflected by the sample 9 is detected by means of a receiving device 8 in order to obtain the corresponding measured values, on the basis of which the composition of the sample can be inferred.
- a receiving device 8 For example, one or a plurality of photodiodes can be used as the receiving device 8.
- the plurality of photodiodes are preferably combined into arrays and in parallel or in series interconnected to increase the sensitivity of the receiving device and to provide a sufficiently large measurement area.
- a second focusing device 6 is arranged in front of it in a receiving channel 4.
- the second focusing device 6 is also designed as a focusing radiation optics made of plastic.
- a filter 11 is provided according to the invention, which is vapor-deposited onto the second focusing device. For example, this can be done using a PVD vapor deposition process (Physical Vapor Deposition).
- the entire components of the module are housed in a common housing 2.
- the housing 2 can be produced, for example, by a first injection molding process, while the optical components, such as the first and second focusing device, can be produced in a second subsequent injection molding process.
- Such a method is also known to the person skilled in the art under the term “two-component injection molding method”. It is possible that the housing is injection molded first or, conversely, the optical components first.
- the housing is closed with a base plate 10, which can also be made of plastic.
- a control device (not shown) is also provided for operating the receiving device 8. This control device interacts with the transmission device 7 and provides switching signals for it. Furthermore, the control device comprises an amplifier for the radiation measured by the receiving device.

Description
Fig. 2 ).
