  • the positive control group received (standard market product) as test compound according to the standard procedures. All the three formulations alone excluding the active principle were kept as Placebo (Group II, HI, and IV). Hair depilation was made by paraffin wax strips. All the test formulations were applied at 24 hours intervals and the animals were kept under observations on changes in skin colour. Since the chosen mice displayed change in the skin colour with reference to hair growth, the indication on skin colour implies the efficacy of the test formulations. It has been observed that both negative control and placebo groups displayed normal hair growth profile, whereas mice in the groups of V, VI, VII and VIII have displayed advancement in hair giowth pattern.

Abstract

L'invention concerne une préparation à base de plantes pour la stimulation de la croissance capillaire et la lutte contre la chute des cheveux, les pellicules et les infections de ceux-ci utilisant des plantes herbacées Ageratum spp. Au moins un composé de plantes, Ageratum spp., tel que, par exemple, la N,N-bis(triméthylsilyl)-2-phényl-7-(trifluorométhyl)quinolon-4-amine, la 3',4',5,6,7,8-hexaméthoxyflavone, le phytol, le précocène, le caryophyllène, le squalène, l'acide α-linolénique, l'acide (Z,Z)-9,12-octadécadiénoïque, l'acide hexadécanoïque et l'hydrocoumarine, peut être extrait à l'aide d'une approche d'extraction de plante commune. L'extraction des composés peut être réalisée à l'aide d'un solvant éthanol et d'un solvant méthanol (à savoir, solvants alcooliques) séparément et les matières concentrées obtenues avec les deux solvants sont rassemblées ou utilisées indépendamment de façon à obtenir un extrait de plante pour stimuler les follicules capillaires. Les composés de plantes Ageratum spp. en combinaison avec un support ou diluant acceptable peuvent en outre être préparés suivant une formulation d'extrait de plante telle qu'une huile ou un gel aqueux (comprenant un shampooing), pour une application topique. Une telle préparation à base de plantes, utilisant des plantes Ageratum spp., peut être utilisée comme solution de soins capillaires efficace dans une large gamme de problèmes associés à la croissance capillaire d'être humains d'une manière économique.
