Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a shower channel cover, as it is used for shower channels of shower rooms or wet rooms with a sloping floor.
  • Such shower channels are usually laid on an edge of the shower room floor in the longitudinal direction adjacent to a connecting wall or, for example, also over the corner adjacent to two or three connecting walls.
  • a shower room floor is usually realized with a continuous slope, which is inclined to the shower channel.
  • shower channels but also, for example, be provided approximately centrally in the shower room, with a first slope and a second, opposite to the first inclined slope.
  • shower channels which are positioned on the long side, parallel to one, two or three sides of the wall, are currently the most common form of barrier-free shower zones.
  • the gutter installation is either installed in prefabricated shower trays or by installation aids such as gutter base or wall holder, if the shower floor precipitation structure is realized directly on site.
  • Virtually all built-in systems combine the prerequisite that they must be installed as a leveling aid or for the purpose of adaptation or alignment with the underlay still at the construction stage.
  • the shower channel in the longitudinal direction for example, to be placed adjacent to a connection wall, so gives the minimum width of the wall-side support surface a distance of the actual shower channel body toward the connection wall.
  • This clearance distance may be reduced by the thickness of the tiles or panels attached to the vertical connection wall, and is thus variable depending on the installation situation.
  • shower channel cover is supplied with the shower channel, which corresponds to the width of the shower channel body, so uneconomically many operations are required depending on the specific installation situation for the installation of the shower channel.
  • the shower channel with its shower channel body and its bearing surfaces must be set and connected to the siphon.
  • the wall-side support surface is usually flush with the Connect connection wall.
  • tiles or plates can be laid on the connection wall and on the shower floor and on the wall-side support surface opposite, room-side support surface after curing.
  • the tiles have, depending on the customer, a variable thickness D.
  • the shower channel for a secure, tight fit needs a wall-side support surface with a certain minimum width B, remains between the shower channel cover and the busy connecting wall a distance A left, which corresponds approximately to B minus D and is also variable.
  • the tile or slab tile has to cut a matching tile or slat strip (so-called belt) after the tiles have been flattened or flattened and insert in the distance A and glue. This is uneconomical and also guarantees no optimal safe, long-tight fit of this belt.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a variable, ie adjustable in width and height shower channel cover for a shower channel, which is not only more economical, but also permanently stable and further adjusting to the required water discharge amounts supported document EP 2 216 449 A1 discloses a shower channel cover system according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a shower channel cover which comprises at least two cover plate elements, wherein a first cover plate element as known in or on the shower channel body can be used and a second, corresponding cover plate element on the first Cover plate element is adjustably arranged.
  • the second cover plate element is adjustable on the first cover plate element, provided that after setting a permanent connection such. Welding or gluing the two cover plate elements together. But it is also a maintenance of adjustability possible by the second cover plate element remains merely placed on the first cover plate element is inserted into guides and / or connected to a detachable screw connection.
  • the first cover plate element is C-shaped in cross-section and as for the first time in a German utility model application DE 202010002011 U Described by the same applicant, preferably placed on height-adjustable, bridge-like insert parts, with a curvature or inner recess down.
  • the top of the first cover plate element is formed at least partially planar.
  • the second cover plate element can be placed onto this planar surface by means of a corresponding planar lower surface and displaced or displaced.
  • first cover plate element is provided in a standard thickness and for the second cover plate element optionally different material thicknesses are provided and are equally applicable.
  • the second cover plate element is in its simplest form a flat plate, but can also in Cross section L- or also C-shaped. No matter how the second cover plate element is ultimately configured, however, it has the above-mentioned planar lower surface, which can be arranged on the flat surface of the first cover plate element and thus results in the displacement or adjustability of the shower channel cover, in the following simply still called adjustment.
  • the adjustment can therefore only two - preferably smooth - surfaces include, get by because of the surface adhesion without further attachment.
  • An optional possible attachment of the two cover plate elements to each other can be formed by means of positive elements.
  • positively shaped pins or bolts are used, which are used in negatively shaped guide grooves or slots, but also positively shaped pins or bolts, which in negative-shaped recesses, e.g. in the form of a row of holes, are used and thus give several fixed adjustment positions.
  • the adjustments may optionally include securing clips or screws to fix the second cover plate element in the desired position.
  • the adjustability can also be limited only once to the installation or the production of the shower channel cover. Once positioned and used, the cover panels can also be permanently welded together or permanently bonded together. But it is also possible if the plate thickness D of the wall tiles or panels is already known in advance, adjust the shower tray cover according to the manufacturer and fixed welded or fixed glued to deliver.
  • the short leg of the Ls or the inner recess of the Cs may also be oriented upward. It is advisable to use in this case a tile or plate belt or glue, or even a stone, metal, glass or plastic strip.
  • a short leg or a turn or a foot or a height-adjustable foot may be arranged on the upper, second cover plate element alone or in addition, which is oriented downwards and serves to the part of the second cover plates Element on the wall-side support surface of the shower channel, which projects beyond the first cover plate element so that the distance to the connection wall is bridged according to the invention.
  • the cover plate elements are preferably made of metal, preferably of stainless steel, but in principle other water-resistant materials are also suitable, such as e.g. Stone, glass, plastic.
  • At least the second, upper cover plate element, but optionally also the first, lower, preferably have drain holes and / or slots, through which the shower water can flow. Regardless of such drainage holes and / or slots may be provided in a shower channel cover according to the invention that due to the dimensioning of the cover plate elements, but also by the corresponding adjustment of the shower water (also) on both sides or on only one longitudinal side and / or at one or both end faces of the cover plate elements can drain into the shower channel by a respective discharge gap is left free or not.
  • a first and a second adjustable cover plate element include, but for example, a total of three or more. It is sufficient that only the uppermost cover plate element is adjustable, but an adjustment between all contact surfaces is just as possible.
  • Inventive cover plate elements are preferably removable when cleaning the shower channel, for example, by a cleaner uses a key or a hook in the drainage holes and / or slots or in a specially provided for this key receptacle or opening.
  • either the first or the second method is applicable, but not both at the same time, depending on whether it is the setting of the shower channel cover according to the invention or the cleaning of a shower channel with a shower channel cover according to the invention.
  • the disclosed different design variants of a shower channel cover according to the invention can be combined with each other.
  • the described different embodiments of fixations can be combined with each other, but also the different design variants of fixations with all different formal design variants, be it flat plate, L- or C-shaped, or each with the different design variants of adjustments, be it with guides , Transverse rails, slotted holes or rows of holes.
