Description

The invention relates to fire protection glazing to prevent the passage of fire and smoke in the event of a fire from one room to another with a flush-fitting door leaf, a top panel arranged above and frameless glass surfaces arranged on both sides of the door panel and the top panel as lateral fixed elements.

A generic fire protection glazing is from the German utility model DE 20 2011 106 510 U1 known. This discloses fire protection glazing with a plurality of glass surfaces made of fire protection panes arranged side by side, into which a glass door is integrated flush with the profile without a profile. This is essentially made possible by the fact that the fire protection panes have two glass panes spaced apart from one another by means of an edge bond and the space between the glass panes enclosed by the edge bond is filled with a fire protection gel, the edge bond of the fire protection panes in the region of the abutting edges that directly adjoin the glass door is offset inwards to form a groove, and in the region of the lateral and / or upper abutting edges of the glass door the first of the glass panes of the glass door springs back relative to the second to form a step fold. Through the formation of the abutting edges of the glass door on the one hand and the corresponding shaping of the abutting edges of the lateral fixed elements, an abutment area is created which enables the glass door to be flush with the fire protection glazing. In addition, this stop area can be equipped with further functionalities, such as a smoke seal and / or further fire protection measures, by means of the groove provided in the abutting edges, without the need to use a frame for this.

The DE 20 2011 106 510 U1 discloses fire protection glazing in which a glass door is held pivotably directly at least partially on the lateral fixed element and fire protection panes have two refractory glass panes spaced apart from one another by means of an edge bond and the space enclosed by the edge bond between the refractory glass panes is filled with a fire protection gel, the edge bond the glass door and the edge bond of the fire protection panes in the area of the butt edges, which directly adjoin the glass door and are offset inwards to form a groove, and in the area of the lateral and / or upper butt edges of the glass door the first of the glass panes of the glass door opposite the second to form a Step fold springs back.

The AT 505 141 A1 discloses a wall system made of monoblock elements with parallel side parts on an internal frame system, on the mutually associated end surfaces of which holding systems for fastening elements, sealing elements and blow bars are formed. Each end face of the monoblock elements is essentially flush with the outer edges of the side parts and in each end face there are two parallel grooves that are at the same distance from the side parts to accommodate the fastening elements, sealing elements and blow bars, whereby after the assembly of the monoblock elements, Elements the outer edges of the side parts are freely visible.

Disadvantageously, commercially available wooden doors cannot be flush-fitted into such fire protection glazing, since their door leaves are attached to a frame. Various frame shapes and materials are known for this purpose, for example wooden door frames, lining frames or steel frames. These have a disruptive effect in fire protection glazing, since they break up the desired unbroken surface appearance of the glazing and destroy the clear, simple design character. In modern architecture, however, the minimalist design principle, which embodies elementary values and makes them visible, is of outstanding importance.

In view of this fact, the object of the invention is to improve fire protection glazing of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that wooden door leaves can be integrated flush into the glass environment without frames and without visible fittings, without impairing the fire protection properties.

The object is achieved according to the invention by combining the following features on fire protection glazing of the type mentioned at the beginning:
  • Each glass surface consists of a fire protection pane, which has glass panes spaced apart from one another by means of an edge bond, the space enclosed by the edge bond between the glass panes being filled with a fire protection gel,
  • the edge bond of the fire protection panes is offset inwards in the area of the abutting edges that directly adjoin the door leaf, forming a groove,
  • in the area of the side abutting edges of the door leaf, one of the glass panes of the fire protection panes jumps back against the other to form a step fold,
  • the door leaf consists of wood and / or wood-based materials and is correspondingly provided with the step folds formed on the glass surfaces with corresponding strip-shaped stop profiles,
  • the door leaf is mounted with concealed fittings in the floor (floor door closer) and on the upper part and
  • the groove on the edge side of the edge bond of the fire protection panes is provided with a glued-in strip made of wood and / or calcium silicate, into which a recess in the form of a step fold corresponding to the stop profile is provided.

Surprisingly, it has been shown that, despite the comparatively thin wooden door leaf, the flush fitting into fire-resistant glazing without frames is made possible by the combination of the above features without impairing fire safety. According to the invention, the groove of the edge bond of the fire protection panes is provided on the abutting edges with a glued-in strip made of wood and / or calcium silicate, into which a recess in the form of a step fold corresponding to the stop profile is provided for the flush mounting of the door leaf. In order to improve fire protection according to an embodiment of the invention, it can be advantageous to provide the strip and / or the door leaf with an intumescent material at the abutting edges which, in the event of fire, closes gaps between the fixed element and the movable element of the fire protection glazing.

In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the top panel is also made of wood, in order to enable concealed accommodation of the upper pivot bearing of the door leaf in a simple manner. To hold the top panel on the side fixed elements made of fire protection panels, it is provided that the strip arranged in the groove of the edge bond on the edge side is made wider in the region of the top panel, to provide a corresponding groove in the top panel and thus the top panel by means of a tongue and groove connection with the side panels To connect fixed elements in a way that is flush on the one hand and on the other hand not visible from the outside. To seal the gap in the event of fire, provision can also be made to provide the top panel with intumescent material in the region of the abutting edge towards the door. In general, intumescent materials that are used to increase fire protection can each be additionally provided with a sealing groove into which a seal is inserted is, in particular a lip seal. Such an arrangement offers the advantage of improved smoke sealing, particularly at the beginning of a spreading fire. At this point, the release temperature of the intumescent material is often not yet reached. At the same time, such a seal also dampens the door leaf during the closing process.

In Fig. 1 The drawing shows a fire protection glazing 1 according to the invention to prevent the passage of fire and smoke in the event of a fire from one room to another in a top view. The fire protection glazing 1 has two glass surfaces A and C consisting of fire protection panes 2 spaced apart, between which an inner surface B with a solid wood door 3 is arranged, above which an upper fixed element 4 (top panel), also made of wood, is arranged. The solid wood door 3 has a door leaf 5, which is held pivotably in the floor 6 by means of an inner and therefore not visible pivot bearing 7 on the top panel 4 and by means of an inner and therefore not visible bottom door closer 8. The axis of rotation of the solid wood door thus runs centrally inside the door leaf, as in particular in the 3 and 4 is removable.

The solid wood door 3 is further provided with a lock case 9, which has a closing facial expression (not shown in the drawing) in the glass surface A. cooperates so that the solid wood door 3 can be closed or opened by operating the handle 10.

I - I gemäß Fig. 1 dar. Fig. 2 represents a horizontal section through the fire protection glazing along the line I - I according to Fig. 1 As can be seen therein, each fire protection pane 2 consists of two glass panes 11, 12 and 19, 20 spaced parallel to one another by means of an edge bond 13 made of single-pane safety glass. The space enclosed by the glass panes 11, 12 or 19, 20 and the edge bond 13 is filled with a fire protection gel 14. The glass panes 11, 12 and 19, 20 are each 8 mm thick, the distance between the inner surfaces being 28 mm. The thickness of each fire protection pane 2 is 44 mm measured from the outer surface to the outer surface.

19, 20.The fire protection gel 14 is produced, for example, as a hydrogel from a NaCl / MgCl 2 salt solution with the addition of polymerizable compounds and a polymerization accelerator in water either before filling between the glass panes 11, 12 or 19, 20 or in-situ between the glass panes 11, 12 or 19, 20 produced by mixing the above-mentioned components with one another and filling them directly into the cavity between the glass panes 11, 12 and 19, 20, respectively. The polymerization to the hydrogel then takes place in the cavity now filled with the mixture between the glass panes 11, 12 and 19, 20.

18 versehen. In Fig. 3 the drawing is a horizontal section II - II through the fire protection glazing 1 in the in Fig. 1 can be seen in the correspondingly marked position with a view downwards. In particular, it can be seen that the solid wood door 3 is a stop door which is centered on the right side in the drawing via the floor door closer 8 and the pivot bearing 7 cooperating with the top panel 4, with the door leaf 5 on the left and right Butt edge a stop profile 15 or 16 is integrally formed with the door leaf in the form of a step fold. The stop profile 15 or 16 extends over the entire length of the abutting edge. Due to the central arrangement of the axis of rotation, the strip-shaped stop profiles 15, 16 are arranged diagonally to one another at the front or rear, so that when the door is closed, both the left and also the right butt edge are sealed. To increase the sealing effect, the cover profiles 15 and 16 are each provided on the inside with a sealing arrangement 17 and 18, which extends over the entire length.

With the stop profiles 15 and 16 formed by the step folds of the door leaf 5 of the solid wood door 3, corresponding step folds on the fire protection panes 2 located on both sides of the door interact in the closed state. For this purpose, it is provided that in the area of the lateral abutting edges, one of the glass panes 11 and 19 forming the fire protection pane springs back relative to the second pane of glass 12 and 20 to form a step fold, and the edge bond 13 is offset inwards, forming a groove, on the abutting edge side. In the thus formed groove of the left and right of the solid wood door 3 arranged fire protection panels 2 is anchored over the entire length of the wooden strip 21, which forms the counter-stop for the stop profiles 15 and 16 of the solid wood door 3 in the closed state by means of a step fold. The surface of the wooden slats facing the door gap is provided with an intumescent profile strip 22 which closes the door gap in the event of a fire.

The dimensional design of the arrangement described above is selected so that the solid wood door 3 runs flush with the fire protection panes 2 of the fire protection glazing arranged on the left and right, thus achieving an overall appearance that conveys a clear, functional aesthetic impression without any annoying fittings or protruding parts.

The in Fig. 4 The horizontal section shown in the drawing according to line I-I in an enlarged view again shows this in connection with Fig. 3 The described principle of integrating the solid wood door 3 into fire protection glazing, it being additionally recognizable that effective intumescent profile strips are also provided in the area of the door lock in the event of a fire, which seal the existing door gaps in the event of a fire via the foaming process.
