Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a fire-resistant glazing to prevent the passage of fire and smoke in case of fire from one room to another with a plurality of juxtaposed glass surfaces.
Such fire-resistant glazings are translucent components that prevent the spread of fire and smoke within a given fire resistance period and also the improper transfer of heat from one room to another room. In the Federal Republic of Germany, fire protection glazings of fire resistance classes F and G are standardized in DIN 4102 and explained with regard to the requirements.
The fire-resistant windows used for fire-resistant glazing are constructed in multiple layers of glass panes with a fire protection layer arranged between them. In case of fire, the protective material contained in this layer is activated, whereby the pane absorbs heat radiation and forms a highly effective insulating layer. The originally transparent glazing creates a practically opaque fire protection wall.

In the case of the known fire-resistant glazings, the height of the profile-free glazing is limited by the fact that the fire-resistant panes are produced with a maximum length of three meters. As a result, horizontally extending profiles, in particular of wood, were arranged in the fire-resistant glazing when the height of the fire-resistant glazing exceeded three meters. Only in width, the fire panes were abutted without profiles with a narrow, between 3 and 10 mm amount gap, which gap was filled by a sealant, which also caused the connection of the adjacent fire protection. In case of fire, this sealant burns, preferably silicone. At the same time occurs as a result of the activation of the protective agent in the fire protection of this protective agent from the abutment surfaces and closes in no time the butt joint with simultaneous displacement of possibly there existing silicone. A lateral cover of the disc edges and butt joints is therefore not required.
The invention has for its object to provide a fire-resistant glazing of the type described above, which manages even with larger, exceeding the maximum length of a fire protection heights without the use of horizontally extending retaining profiles.
To solve this task, a fire-resistant glazing according to
After a fire-resistant glazing according to the prior art it is known that a glass surface can be formed by stacked fire protection discs, which are without profiles and thus placed directly on each other and are held at their horizontal butt joints solely by a sealant. It is sufficient for the stability of such fire-resistant glazing when the stacked fire protection windows are held at their lower or at their upper edge by wooden profiles. With the invention, it is thus possible to produce fire-resistant glazings of the type described above without limitation to the production length of the fire protection panels.
As a sealant is drawn from a Dämmstoffbildner material, silicone sealant or the like in question.
According to the invention, the fire-resistant glazing has a plurality of juxtaposed glass surfaces. These glass surfaces consist of at the vertical edges alone by a sealant in the joint area connected fire protection windows. The fire panels are in the width direction of the fire-resistant glazing without profiles and thus directly juxtaposed, the fire panels are held at their vertical butt joints solely by a sealant.
The fire-resistant glazing according to the invention may consist of a plurality of glass surfaces consisting of fire-resistant panes held by wooden profiles at the upper and lower edges and joined at the vertical edges solely by a sealing means in the joint area, which material has been made to resist fire and heat for a long time are, wherein at least some of the glass surfaces are formed by profile profiles directly juxtaposed fire protection discs, which also on their horizontal butt joints are held solely by a sealant. According to this embodiment, the fire-resistant glazing consists of a plurality of both in the width direction and in the height direction adjacent fire protection discs, the adjacent fire panels are held both at their horizontal butt joints as well as at their vertical joints solely by a sealant. This construction makes it possible to form fire-resistant glazing in almost any width and height. The fire protection windows are each held only at their lower or at their upper edge by wooden profiles. In the butt joint area adjacent fire protection windows no profiles are provided, the fire panels are held here solely by a sealant, both with respect to the vertical and the horizontal butt joints.
According to a further feature of the invention, at least one of the glass surfaces may comprise a wooden profile existing frame for a single or multi-leaf door or a window, wherein the frame is held at their edges exclusively by the adjacent fire protection. This development of the invention provides the opportunity to provide a passage or an opening in the fire-resistant glazing according to the invention, wherein the formation of the doors or windows can be arbitrary. Preferably, these also consist of or using fire resistant glass.
Finally, the invention proposes that at least one of the fire protection panes extends over more than one glass surface. As a result, an increase in the stability of the fire-resistant glazing is achieved, since this fire-resistant pane extends at least over parts of adjacent glass surfaces.
