Description

The invention relates to fire protection glazing to prevent the passage of fire and smoke in the event of a fire from one room to another with at least three glass surfaces consisting of fire protection panes and arranged next to one another, one of which is designed as a stop door at least partially as a profile-free glass environment. wherein the fire protection panes have glass panes spaced apart from one another by means of an edge bond, and the space between the glass panes enclosed by the edge bond is filled with a fire protection gel, and wherein the edge bond of the glass door and the edge bond of the fire protection panes in the region of the abutting edges directly adjacent to the glass door to form a groove inside, in which groove a strip of intumescent material is inserted, which carries a seal.

Such fire protection glazing are from the EP 2 581 538 A2 and EP 2 754 830 A2 known.

According to the exemplary embodiment described therein, the fire protection glazing has three glass surfaces consisting of fire protection panes and arranged next to one another, a glass door designed as a stop door being provided in the inner glass surface, above which an upper fixed element (skylight) made of a fire protection pane is arranged. A fixed side element is provided on the right side of the glass door and a stop element for the glass door is provided on the left side. The lateral fixed element and the stop element extend over the entire height of the respective glass surfaces.

With the objective of preventing fire and smoke from passing through the fire protection glazing from one room to another in the event of a fire, it is provided that in the area of the side and upper abutting edges of the glass door, one of the glass panes springs back against the second to form a step fold , a profile strip made of intumescent material is inserted in the groove formed between the abutting edges of the glass panes and the edge bond, which foams in the event of fire and the corresponding joint closes. A sealing groove is formed in the profile strip assigned to the glass door, into which a lip seal is inserted.

The disadvantage of this construction is that such rebates are provided on all the joints surrounding the glass door to neighboring fire protection panes, which means that the installation of the glass door in the profile-free glass environment on the one hand and the ensuring of a contact-free opening and closing movement of the door on the other hand only through complex adjustment measures and readjustments so complicated. A further disadvantage is that the lip seal inserted into the sealing groove of the profile strip is only provided on one side in each joint and the fire protection properties are thereby impaired.

The invention has for its object to avoid the disadvantages mentioned to improve the fire protection properties of fire protection glazing of the type mentioned, to facilitate the assembly of the glass door in the profile-free glass environment and to ensure the trouble-free opening and closing movement of the door without expensive adjustment and readjustment measures.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that only in the area of the side abutting edges of the fire protection panes adjacent to the stop side of the glass door is one of the glass panes springing back relative to the other glass pane to form interlocking step folds, while all the remaining abutting edges of the fire protection panes are formed without a step fold , and that the joints between adjoining fire protection panes are tightly closed by a sealing arrangement in the closed state of the glass door, which consists of cantilevered, overlapping and interacting seals protruding into the respective joint from the adjacent fire protection panes. The combination of these features ensures that with improved fire protection properties due to the special sealing arrangements, a simple installation of the glass door in the glass environment is made possible by the fact that stop-forming step folds are provided only in the area of the side abutting edges of the adjacent fire protection panes that form the stop side of the glass door and additionally all of them Joints of the glass door in the glass environment are protected against the passage of fire and smoke in the event of fire by the special sealing arrangement in the form of a double seal.

Each seal preferably consists of a tubular hollow chamber seal anchored in the strip made of intumescent material with spring hooks, which in the closed state of the glass door produces the seal of the joint under compression with the hollow chamber seal arranged opposite. Thus, the seals with their tubular hollow chambers face each other into the free space of the butt joint, come into contact with one another under pressure deformation and, together with the intumescent material that foams into the joint in the event of fire, create the complete joint seal.

The glass door can also be a double door with two leaves and a center stop. In this embodiment of the invention, the step fold formation provided only on the vertical joint of the center stop between the adjacent glass surfaces in combination with the double seals closing all joints ensures an improved smoke and fire protection effect. The fact that all other joints that are present with adjacent fixed glass surfaces of the glass environment are realized without a rebate formation means that simple installation without complex adjustment and readjustment work is ensured.

According to a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that a skylight in the form of a fire protection pane is arranged above the glass door, the butt joint there being designed according to the invention without a step fold but with a double seal.

In general, the invention provides that the seals that protrude into the associated joint, overlap one another and thus interact with one another represent a double seal arrangement which closes the joint in a smoke-tight manner when the glass door is closed, preferably with non-positive locking.

The glass door 3 provided in the inner glass surface B is designed as a stop door and is held directly and pivotably on the fire protection pane 2 of the lateral fixed element 5 or in the floor by means of two hinge bands 7, 8. The upper fixed element 4 is fixed to the lateral fixed element 5 and the stop element 6 by means of an angled connecting element 9, 10 (corner bracket).

The glass door 3 is further provided with a lock case 11 which has a closing facial expression which interacts with a stop case 12 on the stop element 6, as a result of which the glass door 3 can be locked and unlocked.

Fig. 2 shows a fire protection glazing of the type and design described, but in which, however, a glass door in the form of a double door 13 with two door leaves 14, 15 is provided in the inner glass surface B, the door leaf 14 of the swivel leaf and the door leaf 15 of the passive leaf in the in the drawing illustrated embodiment is. The door leaf 14 represents a stop door with a central stop on the passive leaf 15, the specific design of the vertical stop joint 16 in the two exemplary embodiments according to Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 is identical and based on the Fig. 3 the drawing (section AA) is explained in more detail below.

Die Polymerisation zum Hydrogel erfolgt dann im nun mit der Mischung ausgefüllten Hohlraum 18 zwischen den Glasscheiben 2a, 2b. 3 and 4 show in a sectional view the basic structure of the fire protection glazing Fig. 1 and 2nd used fire protection panes 2. Each fire protection pane 2 consists of two glass panes 2a, 2b spaced apart from one another and made of single-pane safety glass by means of an edge bond made of polyurethane. The space enclosed by the glass panes 2a, 2b and the edge bond 17 is filled with a fire protection gel 18. The fire protection gel 18 is produced, for example, as a hydrogel from an NHCL / MGCL 2 salt solution with the addition of polymerizable compounds before filling between the glass panes 2a, 2b or is generated in situ between the glass panes 2a, 2b by the above-mentioned components mixed together and inserted directly into the cavity between the glass panes 2a, 2b. The polymerization to the hydrogel then takes place in the cavity 18 between the glass panes 2a, 2b which is now filled with the mixture.

Between the fire protection panes 2 forming the glass door 3 and 13 and the adjacent fire protection panes 2 of the glass surfaces A, B (skylight) and C forming fixed elements, butt joints 19 are present on the edge side, which cannot be closed firmly by a silicone seal due to the opening and closing movements of the door leaves are, as is the case with the butt joints on fire protection glazing, which are located between fixed elements. When the glass door is closed, however, it is necessary to seal such butt joints 19 from one room to another in order to avoid the passage of fire and smoke in the event of a fire.

For this purpose, according to Fig. 4 the drawing of the edge assembly 17 of the glass door 3 and the edge assembly of the fire protection panes in the region of the abutting edges, which directly adjoin the glass door 3 to the surrounding fixed elements, forming a groove offset inwards. This makes it possible to accommodate further elements which improve the fire protection in the groove created after the inner offset of the edge composite 17. According to the exemplary embodiment of the invention shown in the drawing, strips 20 of intumescent material are arranged, in particular glued, in the grooves formed in this way, covering the edge bond, which foam up in the event of a fire and close the butt joints 19. In addition, the butt joints 19 are sealed by a sealing arrangement in the closed state of the glass door 3, which consists of overlapping and interacting seals 21, 22 projecting into the respective butt joint 19. This is according to Fig. 5 the drawing around tubular hollow chamber seals 23 which, in the closed state of the glass door 3, produce the seal of the butt joint 19 under mutual compression deformation. For this purpose, the hollow chamber seals 23 extend towards one another into the free space of the butt joint 19, so that the hollow tubes 3 lie tightly against one another with their hollow tubes and do not impair the movement of the door leaf and ensure a secure seal under compression deformation. The hollow chamber seals are anchored to them formed spring hook strips 24 in the associated strip 20 made of intumescent material.

The modified design of the vertical stop joint 16 is in Fig. 3 the drawing. The illustration shows that in the area of the stop side of the glass door, the abutting edges of adjacent fire protection panes are designed in the form of interlocking step folds 25, 26. For this purpose, one of the glass panes forming a fire protection pane 2 is arranged to spring back in relation to the other glass pane in order to form a step fold. On the glass door 3 the in Fig. 1 of the illustrated embodiment or the door leaf 14 of the in Fig. 2 In the embodiment shown in the drawing, the first 2a of the glass panes is set back in relation to the second 2b to form the step fold 26 there. On the glass surface A forming fire 2 according to the Fig. 1 the drawing or the fire protection window of the passive leaf 15 according to the embodiment Fig. 2 In the drawing, the second 2b glass pane is arranged opposite the first 2a to form the corresponding step fold 25. In addition, it is provided, as described below, to offset the edge bond 17 in each case in order to form a groove, in each of which a strip of an intumescent material 20 is inserted which, as described above, carries a sealing arrangement with hollow chamber seals 23.
