Description

The present invention relates to fire protection glazing to prevent fire and smoke from penetrating from one room to another room in the event of a fire, with at least two fire protection panes arranged next to or above one another with their abutting edges adjacent to one another.

It is known from the prior art to arrange individual fire protection panes, which consist of at least two parallel and spaced apart glass panes and a fire protection layer arranged in the space between these glass panes, with their abutting side edges, with one vertically arranged between the side edges of the fire protection panes Sealing arrangement is provided. The glass panes of a fire protection pane, which are arranged in relation to one another, are each flush with the side edges without forming a stepped fold.

Fire protection glazing of this type has the disadvantage that the stability of the glazing, in particular the vertical connection of two fire protection panes arranged with their abutting edges adjacent to one another, takes place only by means of a sealing arrangement which can only absorb small forces acting on them. Furthermore, fire-resistant glazing known from the prior art has the disadvantage that in the event of fire, due to the use of only one continuous seal, this seal can more easily be damaged by flames and / or heat.

11Against this background, the present invention is based on the object of providing improved fire protection glazing, which in particular has increased stability and furthermore a better seal and thus improved protection in the event of fire and in particular with regard to fire protection class A1 according to DIN 4102-1 or EN 13501 guarantees adequate fire protection properties. 11

DE 199 01 737 A1 discloses fire protection glazing with the features of the introductory part of claim 1.

EP 0 841 456 A2 discloses a louvre window with glazings with substantially P-shaped seals arranged as a sealing arrangement.

As a technical solution, the present invention provides fire protection glazing with the features of claim 1 to avoid the passage of fire and smoke in the In the event of a fire from one room to another room with at least two fire protection panes arranged side by side or on top of one another with their abutting edges adjacent to one another, the fire protection panes each consist of at least two parallel and spaced apart glass panes and a fire protection material arranged in the space between these glass panes and on Form at least one of their edge abutting edges by protruding or receding the first glass pane against the second glass pane, and wherein an intermediate space defined between the abutting edges of the fire protection panes by the formed rebate is closed fire-proof and smoke-tight by means of at least one sealing arrangement.

The invention makes particular use of the knowledge that when a rebate is formed for the spaced apart glass panes of a fire protection pane, increased stability of the fire protection glazing can be ensured, since in the event of a fire, even if the sealing arrangement is destroyed, a single fire protection pane of the fire protection glazing is due to the rebate can be held or supported by their neighboring fire protection panes. In addition, in the event of a fire, destruction of the sealing arrangements arranged between the fire protection panes is slowed down, in particular if the sealing arrangement is constructed in several parts. In this case, the seal of the multi-part sealing arrangement assigned to the fire side is first damaged by heat and / or fire, but the seal of the multi-part sealing arrangement facing away from the fire side is only attacked later and not immediately by fire and / or heat.

In one embodiment of the invention it is provided that a P seal arranged on one of the protruding or recessed glass panes is provided as the sealing arrangement. The advantage of a P seal is, in particular, that only one component is to be used as a sealing arrangement between the side edge on the side edge adjacent fire protection panes, sometimes between a protruding edge of the abutting edge of a first fire protection pane and a recessed abutting edge of a second fire protection pane remaining gaps can be filled by means of a silicone.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that a profile arranged on the protruding or recessed glass pane of the fire protection pane, which rests on a profile arranged on the protruding or recessed glass pane of an adjacent fire protection pane, is provided as the sealing arrangement, the profiles each being on the inside to the protruding and recessed glass pane of the adjacent fire protection pane are arranged. This has the advantage of simpler manufacture, since a profile always only has to be arranged on the protruding abutting edge of each glass pane, which results in a symmetrical structure of fire protection panes. A silicone can preferably be used between a protruding abutting edge of a glass pane of a first fire protection pane and a recessed abutting edge of a glass pane of an adjacent second fire protection pane for further sealing the gap between the fire protection panes.

In a further particularly advantageous embodiment of the fire protection glazing according to the invention, a jointing or filling with butyl rubber, polysulfide, silicone, polyurethane and / or MS polymer sealants is provided as a sealing arrangement in combination with one of the aforementioned seals, for example a P seal or profiles arranged in each case on the protruding glass pane of the fire protection pane. In this way, a multi-stage sealing arrangement is implemented which can optimally withstand the different phases of a fire. According to a preferred embodiment of the fire protection glazing according to the invention, the profile is attached to the abutting edge of the respective protruding or recessed glass pane by means of an adhesive. As a result, it is achieved on the one hand that, on the one hand, no fire or smoke penetrates through these, on the other hand, because of the flush closure created between two fire protection panes and, on the other hand, the stability of the fire protection glazing is increased.

According to another embodiment of the invention, a Z-profile arranged along one of the projecting or recessed glass panes is provided as the sealing arrangement. The use of a Z-profile is advantageous because only one such profile has to be used per fire protection pane, but the advantages according to the invention are retained, which result from a protruding or recessed glass pane and an abutting edge that does not run straight between the two fire protection panes.

Further details, features and advantages of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the figures of the drawings.

Fig 1 . shows a schematic side view of fire protection glazing 1, which consists of two fire protection panes 2 arranged next to one another with their abutting edges 3 adjacent to one another. The fire protection panes 2 each consist of two parallel and spaced apart glass panes 4 and a fire protection material 7 arranged in the space between these glass panes 4 and form a stepped rebate on their edge 3 by protruding or recoiling of the first glass pane 4 relative to the second glass pane 4. The formed between the abutting edges 3 of the fire protection panes 2 by the Intermediate space defined by a stepped rebate is closed by means of a sealing arrangement 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 in a fire and smoke-tight manner.

In Fig. 2 a sealing arrangement can be seen which is only arranged on one of the protruding or recessed glass panes 4 and consists of a P seal 8. This seal is arranged in the area of the abutting edges 3 in such a way that it rests with its longer side on the protruding abutting edge of the first glass pane 4 and thereby establishes a connection to the adjacent glass pane 4 with the curved shape of the P-seal 8 and in this way the Edge area 3 closed fire and smoke-tight.

In Fig. 3 According to another embodiment, a sealing arrangement is shown which consists of profiles 9 arranged on the protruding or recessed glass pane of the fire protection pane, the profiles 9 being arranged on the inside of the protruding or recessed glass pane 4 of the adjacent fire protection pane 2. The straight side of each profile 9 is accordingly arranged on the protruding glass pane 4 of a respective fire protection pane 2, so that the two round shapes of the profiles 9 abut each other and the two fire protection panes 2 in the abutting edge area 3 close together in a fire and smoke-tight manner.

In Fig. 4 Another exemplary embodiment of a fire protection glazing 1 not according to the invention is shown, in which a jointing or filling of the abutting edge area 3 existing between the two fire protection panes 2 was carried out by means of a silicone sealant 10. Alternatively, butyl rubber, polysulfide, polyurethane and / or MS polymer sealants can also be used for grouting or filling.
Fig. 5 shows in a further embodiment the use of profiles 11 arranged on the abutting edges 3 of the protruding or recessed glass pane 4 of the fire protection pane 2. In this embodiment, the profiles 11 are each fixed to the protruding edge of the glass panes 4 of the fire protection panes 2, so that a seal against fire and / or smoke is provided on both sides of the fire protection glazing 1 thus created. In addition, it is provided according to the invention to arrange a P-seal 8 or two D-profiles 9 in the space existing between the two protruding abutting edges of the glass panes 4.

In Fig. 7 According to a further exemplary embodiment of the fire protection glazing 1 according to the invention, a Z-profile 13 arranged along the projecting glass panes 4 is provided as a sealing arrangement. The Z-profile 13 closes the gap between each protruding edge of a glass pane 4 and the correspondingly arranged recessed glass pane 4 of the adjacent glass pane 4, as well as the gap between the two protruding edges of the glass panes 4.
