Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine wässrige Zusammensetzung zur Ausbildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht auf einer Metalloberfläche, wobei die Zusammensetzung mindestens eine aktive Komponente für die Ausbildung der chemischen Konversionsschicht und mindestens, ein Verdickungsmittel enthält und eine Viskosität im Bereich von 10 mPa*s bis 10000 mPa*s aufweist.

Description

  • Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Zusammensetzung und ein Verfahren zur Ausbildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht.
  • Um Metalle wie z. B. Aluminium vor Korrosion zu schützen, gibt es verschiedene, dem Fachmann bekannte Möglichkeiten. In diesem Zusammenhang können beispielsweise das Abscheiden von metallischen Überzügen, anodische Oxidation, die Bildung von chemischen Konversionsschichten oder das Aufbringen von Farben und/oder Lacken sowie Kombinationen davon genannt werden.
  • Insbesondere für Aluminium oder Aluminiumlegierungen sind neben der anodischen Oxidation in Eloxierverfahren chemisch hergestellte Konversionsschichten von besonderer Bedeutung für den Korrosionsschutz.
  • Der Begriff "chemisch hergestellte Konversionsschicht" bzw. "chemische Konversionsschicht" ist dem Fachmann bekannt und beschreibt nichtmetallische, meist anorganische Schichten auf einer Metalloberfläche, die durch eine chemische Reaktion mit dem metallischen Untergrund, in der Regel durch eine wässrige Behandlungslösung, insbesondere einer Elektrolytlösung erzeugt wird, wobei die Metalloberfläche durch Ausbildung der Konversionsschicht passiviert wird.
  • Neben Oberflächen aus Aluminium oder Aluminiumlegierungen lassen sich chemische Konversionsschichten auch auf anderen Metalloberflächen ausbilden.
  • Üblicherweise werden Chromat-Konversionsschichten durch Chrom(VI)-haltige Elektrolyten, insbesondere Chrom(VI)-haltige Lösungen erzeugt. Die Chrom(VI)-haltigen Elektrolyten stellen jedoch ein erhebliches Gesundheitsrisiko dar. Vor diesem Hintergrund wurden Verfahren entwickelt, mit denen sich Chrom(III)-basierte Konversionsschichten herstellen lassen, die frei von Chrom(VI)-Verbindungen sind. Für die Ausbildung von Chrom(III)-basierten Konversionsschichten werden Chrom(III)-haltige Elektrolyten, insbesondere Chrom(III)-haltige wässrige Lösungen verwendet. Geeignete Chrom(III)-haltige Elektrolyten für die Ausbildung von Chrom(III)-basierten Konversionsschichten sind dem Fachmann bekannt und werden beispielsweise in der DE 196 38 176 A1 und WO 2007/134152 beschrieben.
  • Die Bildung der chemischen Konversionsschicht und die damit verbundenen Korrosionsschutzeigenschaften werden u.a. durch die Benetzung und Konzentration der aktiven Komponente in der Elektrolytlösung und die Einwirkzeit auf der Metalloberfläche bestimmt. Außerdem ist eine ausreichende Beweglichkeit der aktiven Komponente erforderlich, welche in der Regel nur in einer flüssigen Elektrolytlösung gegeben ist.
  • Die bekannten Verfahren, mit denen sich chemische Konversionsschichten herstellen lassen, haben den Nachteil, dass bei einer lokalen Applikation nur ein sehr dünner Elektrolytfilm auf die Oberfläche aufgetragen werden kann. Es ist in der Regel erwünscht, dass das Konversionsbeschichtungsverfahren zu einer ausreichend dicken chemischen Konversionsschicht führt und gleichzeitig eine Ausbildung von Rissen in dieser Schicht möglichst minimiert.
  • Ein weiterer Nachteil der bekannten Verfahren, mit denen sich chemische Konversionsschichten herstellen lassen, ist darin zu sehen, dass die Dosierung des Elektrolyten bzw. der Lösung mit den üblicherweise eingesetzten Applikationsmitteln wie einem Pinsel oder Stift schwierig ist.
  • Es ist daher eine Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, eine Zusammensetzung für die Bildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht auf einer Metalloberfläche bereitzustellen, mit der die Probleme der bekannten Zusammensetzungen nicht auftreten. Es ist eine weitere Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, ein Verfahren für die Bildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht auf einer Metalloberfläche bereitzustellen, mit dem die Probleme der bekannten Verfahren nicht auftreten.
  • Diese und weitere Aufgaben werden mit den Merkmalen der unabhängigen Ansprüche gelöst, vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind in den abhängigen Ansprüchen angegeben.
  • Gemäß eines ersten Aspekts stellt die vorliegende Erfindung eine wässrige Zusammensetzung zur Ausbildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht auf einer Metalloberfläche bereit, wobei die Zusammensetzung mindestens eine aktive Komponente für die Ausbildung der chemischen Konversionsschicht und mindestens ein Verdickungsmittel enthält und eine Viskosität im Bereich von 10 mPa*s bis 10000 mPa*s aufweist.
  • Geeignete aktive Komponenten für die Ausbildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht sind dem Fachmann grundsätzlich bekannt. Bevorzugt wird die aktive Komponente für die Ausbildung der chemischen Konversionsschicht aus Chrom(III)-Verbindungen, Vanadium(IV)-Verbindungen, Phosphormolybdänsäure, Titan-Verbindungen, Zirkon-Verbindungen, Lanthan-Verbindungen, oder deren Kombinationen oder Gemischen ausgewählt.
  • Die Chrom (III)-Verbindung ist vorzugsweise ein Chrom(III)-Salz oder ein Chrom(III)-Komplex. In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform wird das Chrom (III)-Salz und/oder der Chrom(III)-Komplex ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Chrom(III)-Oxosäuren, Chrom(III)-Halogeniden, Chrom(III)-Aminkomplexen, Chrom(III)-Aquakomplexen, Chrom(III)-Alkoholkomplexen und Chrom(III)-Acidkomplexen, bevorzugt CrF3, CrCl3, CrBr3, CrI3, weiter bevorzugt Cr2(SO4)3, Cr(OH)SO4 und Cr2(SO4)3 ˙ 12 H2O, CrPO4, CrPO4 ˙ 6H2O, Cr2(CO3)3.
  • Bevorzugt werden die Liganden des Chrom(III)-Komplexes ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus: Chelatliganden, wie Dicarbonsäuren, Tricarbonsäuren, Hydroxycarbonsäuren, insbesondere Oxal-, Malon-, Bernstein-, Glutar-, Adipin-, Pimelin-, Kork-, Azelain-, Sebazinsäure; Maleinsäure, Phthalsäure, Terephthalsäure, Weinsäure, Citronensäure, Äpfelsäure, Ascorbinsäure; Acetylaceton, Harnstoff, Harnstoffderivate; Komplexliganden, bei denen die komplexierende funktionelle Gruppe Stickstoff, Phosphor oder Schwefel enthält, insbesondere -NR2 und/oder-PR2, wobei R unabhängig voneinander ein organischer, insbesondere aliphatischer Rest und/oder H ist, und/oder -SR, wobei R ein organischer, insbesondere aliphatischer Rest oder H, ist; Phosphinaten und Phosphinatderivaten; oder deren Mischungen.
  • In einer weiteren Ausführungsform umfasst die Chrom(III)-Verbindung Fluorometallat-Anionen, bevorzugt ausgewählt aus Fluorosilicat-, Fluorotitanat- oder Fluorozirconatanionen oder deren Gemischen.
  • Hinsichtlich geeigneter Titan- und/oder Zirkonverbindungen kann beispielsweise auf die DE 10 2008 014 465 A1 verwiesen werden.
  • Hinsichtlich geeigneter Lanthanverbindungen kann beispielsweise auf die EP 2 463 399 A1 verwiesen werden.
  • Die Menge der aktiven Komponente in der Zusammensetzung kann über einen breiten Bereich variiert werden. Beispielsweise kann die Zusammensetzung die aktive Komponente in einer Menge von 10 Gew% bis 80 Gew% oder auch von 20 Gew% bis 70 Gew% enthalten.
  • Die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung umfasst vorzugsweise keine Chrom(VI)-Verbindung.
  • Wie bereits erläutert, ist die Applikation der bekannten Zusammensetzungen schwierig, insbesondere Aufgrund der geringen Viskosität und der damit geringen erreichbaren Konzentration der aktiven Komponente in dem auf die Metalloberfläche aufgetragenen Elektrolytfilm. Außerdem kann es aufgrund geringer Filmdicke bei der Applikation der bekannten Zusammensetzungen durch einen Abtrocknungseffekt zu stark variierenden Ionenkonzentrationen bei der Bildung der chemischen Konversionsschicht kommen, so dass eine Kontrolle der Reaktion schwierig ist, was zu unbefriedigenden Korrosionsschutzeigenschaften führen kann.
  • Die Viskosität der Zusammensetzung wird durch die Anwesenheit eines Verdickungsmittels auf einen Wert im Bereich von 10 mPa*s bis 10000 mPa*s eingestellt.
  • Die Viskosität wird mit einem Rotationsviskosimeter mit Platte-Kegel-Messystem bei 23°C bestimmt.
  • Durch die Einstellung eines geeigneten Viskositätsbereichs wird es ermöglicht, dass die Bildung der Konversionsschicht über eine diffusionskontrollierte Reaktion ablaufen kann. Durch die diffusionskontrollierte Applikation ist die Kinetik des Schichtwachstums durch den Antransport von reaktiven Komponenten und die Einstellung des pH-Wertes an der Grenzfläche gesteuert. Die geeignete Einstellung der Reaktionskinetik bedingt ein rissfreies Wachstum der Konversionsschicht. Auf diese Weise umgeht das erfmdungsgemäße Verfahren die Problematik der Abhängigkeit von Applikationsparametern wie Elektrolytmenge, Auffrischung des Elektrolyten, Abtrocknen des Elektrolyten mit undefinierter Aufkonzentrierung und undefinierten Umwälzprozessen an der Grenzfläche.
  • Bevorzugt weist die Zusammensetzung eine Viskosität im Bereich von 20 mPa*s bis 3000 mPa*s, bevorzugter von 50 bis 2500 mPa*s auf.
  • Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung können übliche Verdickungsmittel eingesetzt werden. Verdickungsmittel, d.h. Additive zur Erhöhung der Viskosität von Lösungen bzw. Flüssigkeiten, sind dem Fachmann grundsätzlich bekannt. Als bevorzugte Verdickungsmittel können im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung beispielsweise Cellulose, Celluloseether, Stärke, oxidierte Stärke, acetylierte Stärke, oxidierte-acetylierte Stärke, Polyacrylsäure, Polyacrylsäureester, Polyurethane, Polyether, Polyolefin genannt werden. Bevorzugte Cellulosederivate bzw. Celluloseether umfassen beispielsweise Methylcellulose, Ethylcellulose, Hydroxypropylcellulose, Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Methylethylcellulose, Natriumcarboxymethylcellulose oder deren Gemische. Weitere bevorzugte Verdickungsmittel zur Rheologiesteuerung umfassen z.B. Polyethylenglycol, Polypropylenglycol, Polyvinylalkohol sowie Thixotrope, z.B. Kieselsäure.
  • In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform umfasst die Zusammensetzung Celluloseether wie z.B. Methylcellulose als Verdickungsmittel.
  • Alternativ oder zusätzlich zu den oben genannten Verdickungsmitteln können auch andere, dem Fachmann geläufige Verdickungsmittel verwendet werden. In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform enthält die Zusammensetzung jedoch ausschließlich eines oder mehrere der oben genannten Verdickungsmittel.
  • Die Menge des Verdickungsmittels in der Zusammensetzung kann über einen breiten Bereich variiert werden. Bevorzugt enthält die Zusammensetzung das Verdickungsmittel in einer Menge von 0,5 Gew% bis 5 Gew%, bevorzugter von 1 Gew% bis 3 Gew%.
  • Der Wassergehalt wird bevorzugt so gewählt, dass eine ausreichende Löslichkeit der aktiven Komponente in der Zusammensetzung vorliegt und außerdem die Zusammensetzung eine für die Applikation auf einer Metalloberfläche vorteilhafte Viskosität aufweist.
  • Optional kann die wässrige Zusammensetzung zusätzlich noch ein Lösungsmittel umfassen. Als geeignete Lösungsmittel kommen sowohl organische als auch anorganische Lösungsmittel sowie deren Mischungen in Betracht. Da die aktive Komponente bevorzugt gelöst werden sollte, kommen insbesondere polare anorganische und/oder organische Lösungsmittel in Betracht. Beispielhaft können Alkohole, Ether oder Ester genannt werden.
  • Die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung kann Additive umfassen, insbesondere Additive, die Konversionsreaktion unterstützen.
  • Die Additive werden bevorzugt so ausgewählt, dass sie die Konversionsreaktion nicht nachteilig beeinflussen.
  • Zusätzlich können auch farbgebende Pigmente zugegeben werden, die allerdings bevorzugt nur die wässrige Zusammensetzung, nicht aber die Konversionsschicht färben.
  • Der pH-Wert der Zusammensetzung kann über einen breiten Bereich variiert werden. Als geeigneter pH-Wert kann beispielsweise ein Bereich von 0-8 angegeben werden.
  • Da manche aktiven Komponenten wie z.B. gelöste Chrom(III)-Ionen unter basischen Bedingungen unlösliche Verbindungen ausbilden können, kann es bevorzugt sein, dass die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung einen pH-Wert in einem Bereich von 1-7, bevorzugter in einem Bereich von 2-5 oder von 3-4 aufweist.
  • In einer Ausführungsform kann die Zusammensetzung deshalb mindestens eine organische und/oder anorganische Säure umfassen.
  • Gemäß eines weiteren Aspekts betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Ausbildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht auf einer Metalloberfläche, umfassend die Bereitstellung der oben beschriebenen Zusammensetzung und das Aufbringen der Zusammensetzung auf die Metalloberfläche.
  • Geeignete Metalle, die mit einer chemischen Konversionsschicht versehen werden können, sind dem Fachmann grundsätzlich bekannt.
  • Bevorzugt handelt es sich bei dem Metall um Aluminium, Zink, Magnesium oder Legierungen oder Kombinationen dieser Metalle. Auch Stahl, der optional verzinkt ist, kann als Metall verwendet werden.
  • Die Herstellung bzw. Bereitstellung der oben beschriebenen erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung kann über herkömmliche, dem Fachmann grundsätzlich bekannte Verfahrensschritte erfolgen.
  • Beispielsweise kann zunächst eine wässrige Lösung der aktiven Komponente hergestellt werden, zu der dann das Verdickungsmittel zugegeben wird, bis die erwünschte Viskosität eingestellt ist.
  • Wie bereits oben erläutert, sind dem Fachmann geeignete aktive Komponenten für die Ausbildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht grundsätzlich bekannt.
  • Elektrolyten auf Chrom(III)-Basis für die Ausbildung von Chrom(VI)-freien Chromat-Konvertierungsschichten sind dem Fachmann an sich bekannt. In diesem Zusammenhang kann beispielsweise auf DE 196 38 176 A1 und WO 2007/134152 verwiesen werden, die geeignete Zusammensetzungen für die Ausbildung von Chrom(III)-basierenden-Konvertierungsschichten offenbaren. Als eine bevorzugte Flüssigkeit kann im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung beispielsweise SurTec® 650 RTU bzw. ChromitAL® TCP-Fertiglösung, vertrieben von der Surtec GmbH, genannt werden. Als weitere beispielhafte kommerziell erhältliche Flüssigkeiten mit einer aktiven Komponente zur Ausbildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht (d.h. Elektrolyten) können Henkel Alodine 5923 Plus, Henkel Alodine 871 Metalast TCP-HF, Mac Dermid Interlox 338 in den von den Herstellern vorgeschlagenen Konzentrationen genannt werden. In diese Chrom(III)-basierten Flüssigkeiten kann dann das Verdickungsmittel zugegeben werden.
  • Wie oben erwähnt, wird in einem nächsten Schritt des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens die das Verdickungsmittel und die aktive Komponente enthaltende Zusammensetzung auf die Metalloberfläche aufgebracht.
  • Das Aufbringen der Zusammensetzung auf die Metalloberfläche kann durch herkömmliche, dem Fachmann grundsätzlich bekannte Verfahrensschritte erfolgen.
  • Das Aufbringen der Zusammensetzung kann beispielsweise durch Streichen (z.B. mittels eines Pinsels oder einer Bürste oder eines geeigneten Zahnspachtels), Wischen oder durch Tauch- oder Spritzverfahren erfolgen.
  • Die Menge der pro Fläche aufgebrachten Zusammensetzung oder die durchschnittliche Dicke der in Form einer Schicht aufgebrachten Zusammensetzung kann über einen breiten Bereich variiert werden.
  • Geeigneterweise kann die Zusammensetzung mit einer Flächenbelegung im Bereich von 4 mg Zusammensetzung/cm2 Metalloberfläche bis 200 mg Zusammensetzung/cm2 Metalloberfläche, bevorzugter von 4 mg Zusammensetzung/cm2 Metalloberfläche bis 50 mg Zusammensetzung/cm2 Metalloberfläche, noch bevorzugter von 9 mg Zusammensetzung/cm2 Metalloberfläche bis 40 oder auch bis 100 mg Zusammensetzung/cm2 Metalloberfläche aufgebracht werden.
  • Die durchschnittliche Schichtdicke der auf die Metalloberfläche aufgebrachten Zusammensetzung kann z.B. 0,05 mm bis 2 mm, bevorzugter 0,1 mm bis 1,5 mm betragen.
  • Das Aufbringen der Zusammensetzung kann auch erfolgen, indem ein oder mehrere Tücher mit der Zusammensetzung getränkt werden oder die Zusammensetzung auf ein oder mehrere Tücher aufgetragen wird und anschließend das Tuch bzw. die Tücher auf die zu behandelnde Metalloberfläche aufgelegt und in dieser Position für eine ausreichende Einwirkzeit belassen werden. Hinsichtlich der Applikation mit Hilfe eines oder mehrerer Tücher kann auf die DE 10 2009 036 102 verwiesen werden.
  • Im Rahmen des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ist es möglich, dass die Zusammensetzung auf die zu behandelnde Metalloberfläche nur einmal oder alternativ auch mehrmals aufgebracht wird. Durch die Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung ist aber üblicherweise eine einmalige Applikation ausreichend.
  • Bevorzugt wird die Zusammensetzung für eine Einwirkzeit, die für die Ausbildung der Konversionsschicht ausreichend ist, auf der Metalloberfläche belassen und dann abgespült.
  • Das Entfernen der Zusammensetzung nach Applikation erfolgt bevorzugt rückstandsfrei von der Oberfläche mittels Abspülen und/oder Abwischen.
  • Die Einwirkzeit kann über einen breiten Bereich variiert werden und hängt unter anderem von der Art der Metalloberfläche und der gewünschten Dicke der Konversionsschicht ab. Die Einwirkzeit kann beispielsweise 1-30 Minuten, bevorzugter 3-15 Minuten oder 4-8 Minuten betragen.
  • Die nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren gebildete Konversionsschicht weist bevorzugt nach dem Salzsprühtest gemäß ASTMB 117 eine Korrosionsbeständigkeit von mehr als 72 h auf, bevorzugt mehr als 168 h, weiter bevorzugt mehr als 200 h.
  • Mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren kann die Schichtdicke der erzeugten Konversionsschicht in einem breiten Bereich variiert werden. Als beispielhafte Schichtdicke kann ein Bereich von 20 nm bis 500 nm, noch bevorzugter 50 nm bis 150 nm angegeben werden.
  • Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren ist für die Behandlung einer Vielzahl von Metallen geeignet. Vorzugsweise werden die Metalle ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Aluminium, Zink, Magnesium oder Legierungen oder Kombinationen dieser Metalle. Auch Stahl, der optional verzinkt ist, kann als Metall verwendet werden.
  • In einer besonders bevorzugten Ausführungsform handelt es sich bei dem Metall um im Flugzeugbau eingesetzte Aluminiumlegierungen, insbesondere aus den Klassen AA2xxx, AA7xxx, AA5xxx, AA6xxx, AlLi und AlMgSc.
  • Das präzise Auftragen der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung auf eine zu behandelnde Metalloberfläche kann durch Einstellen einer geeigneten Viskosität erheblich erleichtert werden. Außerdem können sowohl Dicke als auch die Gleichmäßigkeit der auf die Metalloberfläche aufgetragenen Zusammensetzung besser kontrolliert werden.
  • Wie bereits oben erwähnt, handelt es sich bei der Bildung der Konversionsschicht nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren bevorzugt um eine diffusionskontrollierte Reaktion. Durch die diffusionskontrollierte Applikation ist die Kinetik des Schichtwachstums durch den Antransport von reaktiven Komponenten und die Einstellung des pH-Wertes an der Grenzfläche gesteuert. Die geeignete Einstellung der Reaktionskinetik bedingt ein rissfreies Wachstum der Konversionsschicht. Auf diese Weise umgeht das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren die Problematik der Abhängigkeit von Applikationsparametern wie Elektrolytmenge, Auffrischung des Elektrolyten, Abtrocknen des Elektrolyten mit undefinierter Aufkonzentrierung und undefinierten Umwälzprozessen an der Grenzfläche.
  • Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren erfordert für zufrieden stellende Korrosionsschutzeigenschaften eine lediglich einmalige Applikation und ist vom Fertigungspersonal leicht durchführbar.
  • Weiterhin betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung eine chemische Konversionsschicht auf einer Metalloberfläche, die durch das oben beschriebene Verfahren erhältlich ist.
  • Außerdem betrifft die Erfindung die Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung bei der Ausbildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht auf einer Metalloberfläche.
  • Beispiete Beispiel 1:
  • Die Viskosität eines Chrom(HI)-basierten Elektrolyt (ChromitAl SurTec 650, 50 %) wurde durch Zugabe von 1 bis 2 Gew% Methylcellulose (Methocel 65HG) auf einen Wert von 60 mPa*s eingestellt. Die Applikation erfolgte mit einem Pinsel (etwa 10 mg Zusammensetzung/cm2). Die Einwirkzeit auf einer geschliffenen AA2024 Oberfläche betrug 4-8 min. Anschließend wurde der Elektrolyt von der behandelten Metalloberfläche vollständig abgespült. In einem Salzsprühtest nach ASTMB117 zeigte sich eine Korrosionsbeständigkeit von mehr als 168 Stunden.

Claims (12)

  1. Eine wässrige Zusammensetzung zur Ausbildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht auf einer Metalloberfläche, wobei die Zusammensetzung mindestens eine aktive Komponente für die Ausbildung der chemischen Konversionsschicht und mindestens ein Verdickungsmittel enthält und eine Viskosität im Bereich von 10 mPa*s bis 10000 mPa*s aufweist.
  2. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, wobei die aktive Komponente für die Ausbildung der chemischen Konversionsschicht aus Chrom(III)-Verbindungen, Vanadium(IV)-Verbindungen, Phosphormolybdänsäure, Titan-Verbindungen, Zirkon-Verbindungen, Lanthan-Verbindungen, oder deren Kombinationen oder Gemischen ausgewählt wird.
  3. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Zusammensetzung keine Chrom(VI)-Verbindung enthält.
  4. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Verdickungsmittel ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Zellulose, Zelluloseether, Stärke, oxidierte Stärke, acetylierte Stärke, oxidierte-acetylierte Stärke, Polyacrylsäure, Polyacrylsäureester, Polyurethane, Polyether, Polyolefin, oder Kombinationen davon.
  5. Verfahren zur Ausbildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht auf einer Metalloberfläche, umfassend die Bereitstellung einer Zusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1-4 und das Aufbringen der Zusammensetzung auf die Metalloberfläche.
  6. Verfahren nach Anspruch 5, wobei das Metall ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Aluminium, Zink, Magnesium, Stahl, oder Legierungen dieser Metalle.
  7. Verfahren nach Anspruch 5 oder 6, wobei die Zusammensetzung durch Streichen oder Wischen auf die Metalloberfläche aufgebracht wird, und/oder durch Auflegen eines mit der Zusammensetzung versehenen oder getränkten Tuchs auf die Metalloberfläche aufgebracht wird, wobei bevorzugt nur eine einmalige Applikation der Zusammensetzung erfolgt.
  8. Das Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 5-7, wobei die Zusammensetzung in einer Menge von 4 mg bis 200 mg pro cm2 Metalloberfläche aufgebracht wird.
  9. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 5-8, wobei die Zusammensetzung nach einer für die Ausbildung der Konversionsschicht ausreichenden Einwirkzeit von der Metalloberfläche abgespült wird.
  10. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 5-9, wobei die Zusammensetzung für eine Einwirkzeit von 1-30 min auf der Metalloberfläche belassen und dann abgespült wird.
  11. Chemische Konversionsschicht auf einer Metalloberfläche, erhältlich durch das Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 5-10.
  12. Verwendung der Zusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1-4 für die Ausbildung einer chemischen Konversionsschicht auf einer Metalloberfläche.
