Definitions

  • the invention relates to a double-walled container.
  • a double-walled container has an outer wall associated with an inner envelope.
  • the outer wall is made of a cardboard that can be printed. The prints made on cardboard make it possible to identify the product.
  • the inner envelope is made of a plastic film which is used to contain the product to be consumed and to protect the outer wall.
  • Such a container is known for example from the document US 4257530 .
  • This container allows various uses. However, after use, the container must be recycled as far as possible which requires dissociating plastic film and the cardboard film.
  • container 1 is a so-called double-walled container. It comprises an outer wall 2 associated with an inner casing 3.
  • the outer wall 2 is secured to the inner casing 3 to form a convenient container to use, especially when foodstuffs are placed in the container 1 and the container 1 is manipulated by means of its outer wall 2.
  • the container 1 comprises a bottom 1a and a side wall 1b and it is the same for the outer wall 2 and the inner casing 3.
  • the outer wall 2 is secured to the inner casing 3 by an adhesion zone 4 which is on the side wall of the outer wall 2 and the inner casing 3.
  • the adhesion zone 4 the inner face of the outer wall 2 adheres to the outer face of the inner casing 3.
  • the side wall of the outer wall 2 is secured to the side wall of the inner casing 3 by means of the adhesion zone 4.
  • the product placed in the container is held at least by the inner casing 3 while the user manipulates the outer wall 2.
  • the inner envelope 3 is formed by a film whose outer face is covered and / or contains a thermo-adhesive coating, in this way a face of the inner envelope is heat-adhesive.
  • the thermo-adhesive coating achieves adhesion between the wall 2 and the inner casing 3.
  • the film is a plastic film.
  • the adhesion zone 4 has a continuously decreasing adhesion force along a substantially vertical axis X at the bottom of the container.
  • the X axis is oriented from the top of the side wall towards the bottom of the container 1.
  • the adhesion force between the inner envelope and the outer wall is less than the cohesive force of the material forming the inner envelope and the cohesive force of the material forming the outer wall. In this way, during the recycling phase, the risks of tearing of the inner casing and the outer wall are reduced.
  • the adhesion zone between the outer wall 2 and the inner casing 3 is very wide and preferably that the adhesion zone 4 is important on the side wall. This allows the general shape of the container 1 (defined by the outer wall 2) to be taken over as faithfully as possible by the inner envelope 3.
  • the adhesion zone 4 extends at least a quarter of the height of the side wall so as to have good cohesion between the outer wall 2 and the inner casing 3 and a good shape agreement between the outer wall 2 and the inner casing 3 of the container 1.
  • a lower portion of the side wall of the outer wall 2 is free of adhesion with a lower portion of the side wall of the bottom of the container. internal envelope 3.
  • the adhesion zone 4 is disposed in the upper part of the side wall, that is to say in the upper half of the side wall to provide mechanical reinforcement of the outer wall 2 by the inner casing 3. This configuration simply makes it possible to ensure in time a good rigidity of the container 1 in its upper part which is generally the gripping area by the user.
  • the adhesion zone 4 is annular in shape, that is to say that it extends on the side wall so as to form a continuous zone.
  • all the lateral faces of the container 1 comprise a portion of the adhesion zone 4.
  • each side face comprises an adhesion zone 4 which allows reduced cohesion while ensuring a good recovery of shape between the outer wall and the inner envelope.
  • This configuration also makes it possible, for example in the case of a simple shape, to increase the cohesion surface between the outer wall 2 and the inner casing 3, which allows the use of a less significant cohesion force in the cohesion zone 4.
  • adhesion area 4 which covers the entire height of the side wall of the container 1 or even the entire surface of the side wall of the container 1 ( figure 2 ).
  • the adhesion zone 4 also extends to the bottom of the container 1 either completely or partially leaving one or more areas free of adhesion between the outer wall 2 and the envelope internal 3 as shown in the figure 2 .
  • a central portion of the bottom of the outer wall 2 is devoid of adhesion with a central portion of the bottom of the inner casing 3.
  • the bottom therefore comprises a zone with adhesion and a zone without adhesion. .
  • This configuration makes it possible to obtain an almost identical recovery of the shape of the outer wall 2 by the inner casing 3.
  • the lateral wall of the outer wall 2 is mechanically reinforced by the inner casing 3 and the general impression the user vis-à-vis the container is favorable because the inner casing 3 is perfectly maintained.
  • the bottom of the container 1 is completely free of adhesion between the outer wall 2 and the inner casing 3. It has been discovered that this particular configuration makes it possible to avoid the deformation of the container 1 in the time. It has been observed that when the inner casing 3 is hot-bonded to the outer wall 2, the difference in coefficient of expansion and / or thermal shrinkage and / or the mechanical stresses imposed on the inner casing 3 to follow the profile. of the outer wall 2 cause deformation of the container 1. Once the outer wall 2 is bonded to the inner casing 3, there may be deformation during the descent in temperature. It may be the same in the case where the inner casing 3 and / or the outer wall 2 deform when subjected to an aggressive environment. For example, an outer wall 2 of cardboard or paper deforms when it is in a humid atmosphere because of the recovery of water. It may be the same film forming the inner envelope 3.
  • the separation in the bottom of the container 1 reduces the deformation of the outer wall 2 because of the inner envelope 3 which deforms alone inside the container 1. This also limits the visual effect of the deformation when the deformation is imposed by the outer wall 2 because the deformation is then substantially uniform which allows to keep the general shape of the container.
  • the outer wall 2 may comprise a removable zone 5.
  • the removable zone 5 provides access to the outer face of the inner casing 3 so as to facilitate the dissociation of the outer wall 2 with the inner casing 3.
  • the removable area 5 may be disposed in the bottom of the container 1 or on the side wall of the container 1.
  • the removable area 5 is configured to allow access to the inner envelope 3 since the outside of the container 1.
  • the total or partial removal of the removable zone 5 allows the user or a third party to apply pressure on the inner casing 3 towards the interior of the container which initiates the uncoupling of the inner casing 3 with the outer wall 2.
  • Removable area 5 is configured to be removed manually.
  • the removable zone 5 may be delimited by a dashed zone in which the outer wall 2 is perforated by a plurality of holes or with a wire integrated in the outer wall 2 that is pulled and that tear the outer wall 2 according to a predefined form.
  • the removable zone may be part of the adhesion zone or may be in a zone devoid of adhesion force. It is also possible to press the removable area to separate it from the outer wall and begin the separation between the outer wall and the inner casing.
  • the plastic film forming the inner envelope 3 extends beyond the side wall to form a peripheral reinforcement 6.
  • the plastic film is advantageously free of adhesive coating in the peripheral reinforcement 6.
  • the peripheral reinforcement 6 defines a plane parallel to the bottom of the container.
  • the plane defined by the peripheral reinforcement 6 is secant to the plane defined by the side wall of the outer wall 2 which allows to mechanically strengthen the upper part of the container 1.
  • the thickness of the plastic film is also variable inside the container.
  • the thickness of the inner envelope is greater in the upper part of the side wall than in the lower part of the side wall.
  • the thickness of the inner casing 3 is continuously decreasing from the upper end of the side wall of the outer wall 2 to the junction between the bottom and the side wall.
  • the peripheral reinforcement 6 has a thickness greater than the thickness in the side wall of the plastic film in order to have increased rigidity in the upper part of the container 1.
  • the tray is made with two containers 1.
  • the two containers 1 are secured by their side wall 1b by means of a hinge 7.
  • the hinge 7 allows the rotation of a container 1 relative to the other.
  • the hinge 7 is configured so that, in a first position, the two containers are facing each other as shown in plan view at the figure 5 .
  • the hinge 7 is disposed in the upper parts of the side walls 1b, the side walls are preferably in contact and the bottoms of the two containers are separated by the side walls. This configuration forms a closed cavity.
  • the tray presents the two containers 1 side by side. If the containers have identical heights, the two funds 1a are advantageously coplanar.
  • the same plastic film forms the inner envelope 3 of the two containers.
  • the plastic film is continuous and is secured to the first tray and the second tray by an adhesion area 4 which is in each of the side walls.
  • the tray can be welded so as to define a closed internal volume which is delimited by the inner envelope 3 which reduces the intrusion of external contaminants or even to define a sealed volume if the inner envelope is sealed and if the weld is also waterproof.
  • the material forming the inner casing may be chosen to be sealed, air, water or other contaminants in the form of a solid or of a fluid. This also allows, for example, conditioning under a protective atmosphere.
  • the two containers are formed by the same materials, that is to say they share the same inner envelope 3 and the same outer wall 2.
  • the hinge 7 is advantageously made by a zone bending the outer wall 2 which connects the side wall of the first container with the side wall of the second container.
  • a release zone is provided on the side wall in order to have a relaxation of the stresses between the two containers.
  • the loosening zone is a zone of the side wall devoid of adhesion between the outer wall 2 and In this way, it is particularly advantageous to provide an area free from bonding between the outer wall 2 and the inner casing 3 in the zone of the lateral wall disposed between the hinge 7 and the bottom 1a. This configuration reduces the deformation of the first tray with respect to the second tray and especially a shift of the alignment initially configured by the hinge because the side wall is deformed.
  • the surface of the side wall located between the hinge 7 and the bottom 1a of the container is completely devoid of adhesion between the outer wall 2 and the inner casing 3.
  • This configuration has given the best results of holding in time without deformation or with reduced deformation for the different configurations tested. In this case, it is also interesting not to make adhesion zone 4 in the bottom of the container.
  • the container can be made by different techniques.
  • the outer wall 2 is formed in a first equipment and the inner casing 3 is disposed inside the volume defined by the bottom and the side wall of the outer wall 2.
  • the fastening between the outer wall 2 and the inner casing 3 is made by supply of heat which makes react the thermo-adhesive coating.
  • the inner casing 3 is formed by a thermoplastic film 8 which is thermoformed inside the volume delimited by the outer wall 2.
  • This embodiment is particularly advantageous because it allows the heat source 9 to be configured to soften the film thermoplastic in a temperature range allowing its deformation.
  • the heat source 9 is advantageously configured to provide enough heat to activate the thermo-adhesive coating so as to achieve bonding between the wall external 2 and the inner casing 3. In this way, it is possible to perform the deformation of the thermoplastic film and its bonding to the outer wall during the same step.
  • the thermoplastic film comprises a thermo-adhesive coating whose adhesion properties vary as a function of the position facing the outer wall.
  • a thermoplastic film 8 which comprises at least two separate adhesive coatings so as to form at least two adhesion zones 4 having different properties.
  • thermoplastic film 8 comprising one or more zones devoid of a thermo-adhesive coating in order to prevent the formation of an adhesion zone 4.
  • the thermoplastic film 8 is covered by a uniform thermo-adhesive coating, except possibly in zones devoid of a thermo-adhesive coating.
  • the conditions of the thermoforming process are chosen so as to have an increasing deformation of the plastic film 8 in certain zones and in particular in the future zones of adhesion.
  • the increasing deformation of the plastic film makes it possible to have the distribution of a definite initial quantity of thermo-adhesive coating on a final greater or lesser extent of plastic film.
  • This configuration simply defines the adhesive force between the outer wall and the inner casing by modulating the deformation of the plastic film. The more the thermoplastic film 8 is deformed and the more the amount of heat-adhesive coating is spread over a large area which reduces the adhesive strength.
  • thermoforming step It is also possible to modulate the adhesion force by modulating the temperature in the container during the thermoforming step.
  • the heat input is achieved by the heat source 9 which is disposed above the outer wall 2 which defines a temperature gradient in the volume defined by the outer wall 2.
  • the thermoplastic film defining the inner envelope 3 is disposed between the heat source 9 and the outer wall 2.
  • thermoplastic film is heated by the heat source 9 so as to allow its hot deformation and the temperature gradient in the container 1 can activate more or less the thermo-adhesive coating which allows to modulate the cohesive force between the inner casing 3 and the outer wall 2.
  • Thermoforming can be achieved by means of a support 10 which holds the thermoplastic film above the outer wall 2.
  • the support 10 moves between a first position where the thermoplastic film is disposed above the outer wall 2 and a second position where the thermoplastic film is in contact with the outer wall 2.
  • the thermoforming device further comprises a heat source 9 configured to heat the thermoplastic film in a temperature range allowing its deformation and a device for applying pressure to the heated plastic film.
  • the deformation of the thermoplastic film can be achieved by applying a pressure on the top of the thermoplastic film to make it follow the inner face of the outer wall.
  • the pressure can be effected by means of a piston and / or by means of the application of a pressure, for example a nozzle 11 for injecting a fluid onto the internal face of the inner casing.
  • a vacuum from above the plastic film for example by applying the vacuum in the container by means of a pump 12 which forces the thermoplastic film to be pressed against the outer wall 2.
  • the film forming the inner envelope is formed by a polymer film or other material. If the film is not able to deform, it is already shaped to follow the shape of the outer wall 2.
  • the pressure application device 11, 12 allows to press the film against the outer wall 2.
