Definitions

  • the invention relates to a lock for a door or flap with a locking mechanism comprising a catch and a pawl for locking the catch.
  • a lock is for example from the DE 103 20 457 A1 known.
  • An aforementioned lock is used for temporary closing of openings in motor vehicles or buildings by means of doors or flaps.
  • the rotary latch engages around the particular bow-shaped locking bolt, which is usually attached to the body in the case of a motor vehicle.
  • the catch is finally locked by means of the pawl.
  • a locking surface of the pawl then abuts against a locking surface of the rotary latch, which prevents the rotary latch can be rotated back in the open position.
  • the locking pin can not leave the locking mechanism in the closed position.
  • the metallic locking surfaces of the rotary latch and pawl are pressed against each other during latching.
  • a sealing pressure of the corresponding door or flap or a prestressed spring may be responsible. Also a train movement the locking bolt out of the locking mechanism can cause such a rotation.
  • Rotary latch and pawl are usually rotatably mounted on a base of a lock case.
  • the lock case is usually made of metal to provide a stable attachment.
  • existing lock housing including a lock housing cover, which is able to protect against dirt and moisture.
  • Lock housing and lock case form an inlet mouth for the locking pin in the locking mechanism or in the inlet slot of the rotary latch.
  • a lock is provided with a locking mechanism of the catch and pawl for locking the catch, rotary latch and pawl have locking surfaces on for locking.
  • the locking surface of the rotary latch is located on the locking surface of the pawl, thereby preventing the rotary latch can rotate in the open position.
  • the lock also comprises a contact surface component with at least one contact surface on which the catch in the open and in at least one latched position abuts or adjoins, limits the catch in a latched position on a contact surface of the contact surface - component, so it is in particular a contour, so involved a side surface of the load arm.
  • An abutment means that one surface of the rotary latch directly opposite the contact surface and both surfaces are separated only by a gap, the gap is preferably at most 0.5 mm wide, more preferably at most 0.2 mm, most preferably at most 0.1 mm , The narrower the gap, the less dust can get through this in the latched state in the interior of the castle disadvantageous. By leaving a small gap, frictional forces are avoided which could complicate the operation of the locking mechanism.
  • a surface of the rotary latch is adjacent both in the main latching position and in the pre-latching position to a contact surface of the plant surface component. In each latched position of the locking mechanism, penetration of dust into the lock is improved.
  • the blocking surface of the rotary latch lies in the open position of the locking mechanism against a contact surface of the contact surface component, a surface of the rotary latch contacts the contact surface of the contact surface component.
  • the surface of the rotary latch which then contacts the contact surface of the contact surface component, is in particular a blocking surface of the rotary latch.
  • the locking surface of the rotary latch in the opened state is preferably located on the contact surface, which serves for locking in the main locking position.
  • the rotary latch blocking surface for the main catch causes in the case of dust deposition an increase of opening forces, so that advantageously in particular this blocking surface of the rotary latch is protected from dust.
  • the blocking surface of the rotary latch which bears against the contact surface in the open position, consists in one embodiment of metal.
  • the contact surface component consists of an elastomer. If the contact surface component consists of an elastomer, it is advantageous to obtain a particularly tight connection between the blocking surface of the rotary latch and the contact surface in the opened state of the locking mechanism. The penetration of dust, which can lead to an increase in the opening forces, is thus particularly well avoided.
  • the abutment surface member is laterally supported by one or two walls adjacent to the abutment surface (s) or a contact surface are opposite.
  • the walls contribute to the stable position of the contact surface component. The dust-preventing effect of the contact surface component is thus further improved.
  • the aforementioned one or two walls are preferably integrally connected to a preferably made of plastic lock housing.
  • the contact surface component is in a preferred embodiment at the same time a damper element for the locking pin and / or for the rotary latch.
  • Embodiments and advantages of the damper element are disclosed in U.S. Patent Nos. 4,130,875 DE 103 20 457 A1 disclosed. The advantages thereof can also be achieved in the present lock when the contact surface component at the same time as a damper element for the locking pin and / or for the catch in the from DE 103 20 457 Alfencede way is designed.
  • the damper element is preferably in the of DE 103 20 457 A1 known manner designed as an L-shaped insert for a receiving groove.
  • the present damper element has a protruding extension that includes the abutment surface. The number of components is kept low by the one-piece construction.
  • the long L-leg of the damper element is particularly in the of DE 103 20 457 A1 known manner for the reasons disclosed therein as a holding leg and the short L-leg of the damper element as a damper leg for the locking pin and the rotary latch formed.
  • the retaining leg recesses for easy transverse insertion into the receiving groove in the from DE 103 20 457 A1 known manner for the reasons disclosed therein.
  • the damper leg has in particular on the inside a closing bolt stop surface and on the outside a Drehtallenanschlag phenomenon in the from DE 103 20 457 A1 known manner for the reasons disclosed therein.
  • the inlet mouth and the receiving groove are preferably substantially parallel to each other and with each other in the from DE 103 20 457 A1 known manner arranged for the reasons disclosed therein.
  • the inlet mouth and the receiving groove taken together form an inlet insert for a lock housing in the DE 103 20 457 A1 known manner for the reasons disclosed therein.
  • the damper leg preferably cantilevers at least partially from the inlet insert in the from DE 103 20 457 A1 known manner for the reasons disclosed therein.
  • the damper element has in particular a temporarily closed cover for introducing, for example, an emergency locking tool in the from DE 103 20 457 A1 known manner for the reasons disclosed therein.
  • the catch there is a line-shaped elevation on which the catch flies.
  • the catch is in any position.
  • the linear elevation preferably begins at a step or a projection of the damper element or the plant surface component and in particular initially extends parallel to an inlet mouth of the lock.
  • the arcuate elevation removed in one embodiment of the inlet mouth and extends arcuately first around this inner end or this base of the inlet mouth around.
  • the linear elevation further helps to prevent dust from entering the lock.
  • the linear elevation is in particular part of a wall of the lock housing.
  • FIG. 1 shows a locking mechanism with a rotatably mounted rotary latch 1 and rotatably mounted pawl 2.
  • the locking mechanism is in the case of FIG. 1 in the pre-rest position.
  • a metallic locking surface 3 of the rotary latch 1 is under pressure on a metallic locking surface 4 of the pawl 2.
  • the rotary latch 1 can therefore not be rotated counterclockwise in the open position.
  • the rotary latch 1 comprises a further metallic locking surface 5 which rests in the main locking position on the locking surface 4 of the pawl 2 with pressure. Will the in the FIG. 1 shown rotary latch 1 further rotated in a clockwise direction, so the locking mechanism finally takes this Haupttrastposition.
  • rotary latch 1 a wall 7 of a plastic lock housing.
  • plastic wall 7 below this made of plastic wall 7 is an existing metal, in particular U-shaped reinforcing plate, which serves to support the axes, which are passed through the holes 8 and 9 of the catch and pawl for the purpose of rotatable mounting.
  • the reinforcing plate extends U-shaped around the inlet mouth of the castle.
  • the two legs of the U include holes for the storage of the two axes mentioned.
  • From the lock case only a metallic side wall 10 is shown in order not to obstruct the view of the locking mechanism.
  • the base of the existing metal lock case is thus in the case of FIG. 1 above the rotary latch 1 and above the pawl 2.
  • the side wall 10 forms with the base of the lock box a right angle.
  • a side flap 11 of the lock housing is latched into a recess of the lock box side wall 10 and serves to hold the lock housing wall 7 to the lock case.
  • the lock housing wall 7 is integrally connected to perpendicularly extending walls 12 of the lock housing. The transition from the lock housing wall 7 to the two walls 12 thus each forms a right angle.
  • the walls 12 together with an adjacent region of the lock plate an inlet mouth for a locking pin.
  • the inlet mouth can be covered on one side by a wall of the lock housing.
  • the walls 12 converge towards each other in a funnel-shaped manner and finally adjoin the short leg 13 of an elastomeric, substantially L-type damper element located in a plane below the rotary latch.
  • the short leg 13 is able to dampen an impact of the locking bolt in the funnel base, which is formed by the two wall portions 12.
  • the short leg 13 is therefore also called damper legs.
  • the L-type damper element is preferably arranged in the same way and acts in the same manner as in the German patent application DE 103 20 457 A1 is disclosed.
  • the damper element comprises a long leg 14 - also called holding leg -, at the end of it in the FIG. 1 upwardly projecting projection 15 are.
  • the projection 15 forms the contact surface component with a contact surface 16 for the main locking surface 5 of the catch 1 in the open position of the locking mechanism and a contact surface 24. At the contact surface 24, at least in the main locking position, a lateral contour 25 of the load arm of the rotary latch 1 adjoins.
  • the damper element is made in one piece and consists including the projection 15 made of an elastomer.
  • Two wall portions of the projection 15 are formed by a wall portion 17 of the lock housing as well supported by a web 18 of the lock housing.
  • the supporting wall portion 17 extends from the lock box surface 7 from vertically upwards.
  • the web 18 includes side walls, which also extend in the same way vertically upwards. Such a vertically upwardly extending side wall of the web 18 supports the abutting projection 15 from.
  • the lock housing wall 7 comprises a line-shaped elevation 26, which initially extends parallel to a lateral boundary of the inlet opening and here essentially in a straight line.
  • one end of the line-shaped elevation adjoins an elevated area of the damper element, specifically to one in the FIG. 3 shown stage 23 of the damper element or directly to the projection 15 of the contact surface component.
  • the line-shaped elevation 26 At the inner end of the inlet mouth then the line-shaped elevation 26 away from the inlet mouth and extends arcuately in the direction of the stop 6.
  • the rotary latch 1 is always on the linear elevation 26 during its rotation and thus in any position.
  • the linear elevation contributes to the fact that dust is less able to penetrate into the interior of the castle.
  • a corresponding line-shaped elevation 27 is available for the pawl 2.
  • the pawl 2 is located on this line-shaped elevation 27 and that in each position. Again, this reduces the penetration of dust into critical areas of the lock.
  • the ratchet is shown in the open position.
  • the blocking surface 5 of the rotary latch 1 abuts against the contact surface 16 of the projection 15 in a manner which avoids dust in the aforementioned sense.
  • the annular stop 6 additionally limits the rotational movement of the rotary latch 1 in a counterclockwise direction.
  • the pawl 2 is located with the arm, which includes the locking surface 4, on a side Contour of the catch 1, without locking it.
  • the contact surface 6 can be sufficient to the rotational movement of the rotary latch 1 in the opening direction, ie in the case of FIG. 2 to limit opposite to the clock.
  • the stop 6 is therefore not necessarily required for this limitation.
  • FIG. 3 a preferred embodiment of a one-piece damper element with a short leg 13, a long leg 14 and at the end of the long leg 14 protruding projection 15 is shown.
  • the short leg 13 preferably comprises a recess 19, which contributes to an improved damping of a striking on the side surface 20 locking bolt.
  • the long leg 14 preferably has a bore 21 into which an unillustrated pin having an outer diameter, which corresponds to the inner diameter of the bore 21 and is preferably slightly larger, is used.
  • the bolt is made of a relatively non-elastic material and in particular of a rigid plastic material.
  • the recess may be formed by the lock housing or connected in one piece with this. Preferably, this recess is partially formed by a wall 12 of the inlet mouth, which is then stabilized.
  • fluted side surfaces of the damper element facilitate insertion into said recess.
  • there are laterally projecting surfaces 22 which limit the insertion of the damper element into said recess to ensure proper insertion comprise a protruding tab which abuts in the inserted state on the (lower) side opposite to the (upper) side with the projection 15 so as to hold the damping element in the recess improves to stabilize.
  • the tab is preferably also integrally connected to the lock housing.
  • An optionally provided on the (upper) side step 23 may be inserted into a recess provided for said recess in order to further stabilize the position of the adjacent projection 15.
