It is constructed with respect to an electrically insulating partition wall 11 of the housing 10 largely mirror-symmetrical and has on both sides of the partition wall 11 each have a point of interruption with a fixed and a movable switching contact. Each of these two breakpoints interacts with one of two prechambers via two arc guide rails. Each chamber has one of two extinguishing chambers. Obviously, the double break switch is open.
- Fig.1 is only the viewer facing interruption point 20 with a fixed 21 and a movable switching contact 22 can be seen. Shown are also a with the fixed switching contact 21 of the interruption point 20 via an arc guide rail 31 and the movable switching contact 22 of the interruption point 20 via an arc guide rail 32 cooperating antechamber 30 and the prechamber 30 is followed, quenching plates 41 containing quenching chamber 40th
- a first power connection 51 of the switch is electrically conductively connected to its second power connection 55 via the following components: a current conductor 52, a blowout coil 53 of a short-circuit current release, a current conductor 54, the fixed switching contact 21, on a prong of a forked contact bridge 23 arranged movable switching contact 22, the contact bridge 23, the unseen second point of interruption, a non-apparent conductor and a non-designated overcurrent release.
- a back 61 of the pre-chamber insulation 60 connecting the two side surfaces 62 of the U-profile extends along the arc guide rail 32 and delimits the pre-chamber 30 from the bottom.

- Vorschblech 70 On the side facing away from the interior of the pre-chamber 30 side of the pre-chamber insulation 60 a likewise U-profile exhibiting Vorhuntblech 70 is arranged, which is formed of a magnetic material, such as typically soft iron or steel, and in a guided through the sheet material recess 71 a permanent magnet 80 takes.
- the Vorschblech 70 can be made in procedural advantageous manner by punching from a flat magnetic sheet and plastic deformation of the stamped part. It can be plugged into the prechamber insulation 60 or attached to the prechamber insulation 60 and by snapping or Spreading its elastically deformable side surfaces 72 are attached to the prechamber insulation 60.
- a short circuit or an overcurrent occurs in a circuit led from a voltage source via the power connection 55, the closed arc extinguishing device and the current connection 51 to a consumer, open as in Fig.1 illustrated the two interruption points 20 to form two in Fig.1 not shown switching arcs.
- One of the two base points of the switching arc formed in the observer facing the front break point 20 commutes from the fixed switch contact 21 on the upper arc run rail 31 and the movable switch contact 32 on the lower arc runner 32. Due to self-generated magnetic forces migrates the switching arc along the rails 31, 32nd through the antechamber 30 into the quenching chamber 40 and is there cooled to the quenching plates 41, divided into partial arcs and deleted. Accordingly, the switching arc formed at the second breakpoint, not shown, behaves. The unwanted short-circuit or overcurrent is thus interrupted by deleting both switching arcs.
- the Vorschblech 70 and the permanent magnet 80 form one in the FIGS. 2 and 3 magnified illustrated magnet assembly M, which improves the operating characteristics of the switching arc along the arc runners 31, 32 in the pre-chamber 30 in interrupting a direct current or a DC superimposed alternating current.
- the magnet assembly M has an open magnetic circuit containing the prechamber sheet 80 into which the permanent magnet 80 feeds magnetic flux.
- the material recess 71 is rectangular and formed by one of the two side surfaces resp. Leg 72 of the U-profile connecting back 73 out.
- the longitudinal side of the rectangle run parallel to the back 73 and therefore form two comparatively large areas, through which at the north pole N resp. at the non-visible south pole S of the permanent magnet 80 of the magnetic flux is fed into the acting as an open magnetic circuit prechamber plate 70.
- a separate fastening device for the permanent magnet 80 is not required since the permanent magnet in the material recess 71 is held in a stable position by the magnetic flux guided in the magnetic circuit.
- two pole faces N and S of the permanent magnet 80 which feed the magnetic flux into the prechamber plate 70, project out of the material recess 71 on both sides of the prechamber plate 70. It can thus be achieved while maintaining a stable position of the permanent magnet 80 in the material recess 71, a large magnetic flux in the magnetic circuit. Since the areas of the material recess 71 formed by the longitudinal sides of the rectangle and the pole faces N, S of the feeding permanent magnet 80 can be snapped together virtually without gaps, a comparatively high proportion of the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet in the magnetic circuit resp. the prechamber plate 70 is fed. The majority of the injected magnetic flux is guided into the legs 72 of the prechamber plate 30, which act as magnetic poles, and acts with a comparatively high magnetic induction in the prechamber 30 located between the pole limbs 72 of the open magnetic circuit.
- the magnetic induction acting in the antechamber 30 between the pole legs 72 supports and accelerates the switching arc during its movement on the arc runners 31, 32, even with comparatively small arc currents and a correspondingly small magnetic self-field.
- the U-profile of the antechamber plate 70 can be designed geometrically almost arbitrary, provided that only a sufficient magnetic induction in the running region of the switching arc between the two pole legs 72 is ensured.
- the magnetic induction between the two pole legs 72 can be influenced in a particularly simple manner in that the magnetic circuit has a shunt. This shunt is clearly achieved in that the two shorter side of the material recess 71 bounding rectangle respectively as web 74, respectively. 75 are executed.
- the induction between the two pole legs 72 can be adjusted by the geometric configuration of the two webs 74, 75 with fully magnetized permanent magnet 80. It can be so much easier A defined magnetic induction in the antechamber 30 can be achieved.
- a marking 76 a resp. 76 b which denotes the associated pole N of the permanent magnet 80.
- the marking can be executed arbitrarily and in addition to letters, numbers or signs also include a coloring. Such coloration can be achieved in manufacturing technology advantageously by coloring the material of the pre-chamber insulation 60.
- the prechamber plate 70 and the prechamber insulation 60 are held in a mounting unit E of the low voltage switch.
- the mounting unit E has a fixable on the housing 10 of the switch and possibly also from the switch housing 10 detachable housing part 12. In this housing part 12 holes 13 are formed.
- holes 14 are aligned with the holes 13
- rivets are introduced into the holes 13, 14 and the parts 10 and 12 riveted together, whereby the housing part 12 and thus the mounting unit E fixed and integrated into the switch housing 10 are.
- the housing part 12 can also be fixed by means of an elastically deformable connection on the switch housing 10.
- Such a compound may comprise elastically deformable parts of the housing part 12 and / or the switch housing 10, the housing part 12 during assembly to form a plug resp. set a snap connection on the switch housing 10 and so integrate the mounting unit E in the switch.
- the assembly unit E facilitates the manufacture and maintenance of the low-voltage circuit breaker substantially and at the same time allows to change the field of application of the switch with simple means, so that it can solve different switching tasks without significant effort.
- the magnet assembly M may also include two or more than two permanent magnets instead of a single permanent magnet.
- To achieve a large magnetic flux in the magnetic circuit of the permanent magnet may be the shape of a plate, respectively. Having a rod, but can also be designed as a horseshoe with a contour adapted to the curvature of the back 73 contour and with pole faces N, S, which feed the magnetic flux directly into the legs 72.
- the magnet assembly M can also be installed in another low-voltage switch, such as a motor protection switch.
- another low-voltage switch such as a motor protection switch.
- two magnet arrangements according to the invention are generally used to improve the running properties of the two switching arcs formed at the two break points.
- a single magnet arrangement according to the invention is sufficient to improve the running properties of the single switching arc formed when the current is interrupted.

Description
Hierbei zeigt jeweils in isometrischer Darstellung:
- Fig.1
- Fig.2
