Definitions

  • the invention relates to a stainless steel drum container for transporting, storing and holding liquids, in particular of chemicals, with a cylindrical container body having a lid and a bottom, and with a container opening centrally disposed in the lid, wherein the drum container via the container opening Having projecting annular cover frame.
  • Barrels made of stainless steel are used, for example, in the field of catering for filling and germ-free storage of beverages.
  • the reusable drum containers which are also called keg barrel or bung barrel, have a cylindrical container body, in whose lid there is a closable container opening. About the container opening of the container body can be filled with a drink, for example with beer. Subsequently, the container opening is closed and the drum container transported to the place where the drink to be stored or kept ready for its removal from the drum container.
  • the container opening is opened again and placed a nozzle on the container opening.
  • a suitable propellant gas such as carbon dioxide or nitrogen in the container to be pressed. If the dispensing valve of the pressurized container body is opened, the beverage is pressed out of the container body via the dispensing valve.
  • Such stainless steel drum containers are used not only in the field of catering for the storage and transport of beverages, but also in the field of chemical and pharmaceutical industry for transporting, storing and keeping ready of chemicals and liquid substances.
  • the manufacturer or supplier of the liquid chemicals fills the drum container via the container opening, which is then closed.
  • the filled drum container is transported by the manufacturer or supplier to the consumer and stored there.
  • the consumer opens the container opening and places a likewise reusable multifunctional adapter on the opened container opening, with which propellant gas can be supplied simultaneously and the pressurized chemical can be removed from the container body.
  • the valves required for this purpose, as well as a dip tube and possibly other components are integrated in the multi-function adapter.
  • cask containers have become a widely used standard and are offered by various companies and used by many predominantly commercial consumers. In most cases, on the consumer side specially adapted to the drum containers facilities for storage of drum containers and the removal of the content and provided for use.
  • Such known from practice drum containers for chemicals can be refilled several times and perform a reuse.
  • the cleaning of such drum containers is inexpensive and reliable possible.
  • the shape of the container body can be adapted to different volumes and pressure conditions during the removal of the liquid stored therein.
  • the container opening which is arranged centrally in the lid of the container body, is regularly designed to be large enough to permit simple and rapid filling.
  • the container opening can be reliably sealed tightly by simple means in order reliably to avoid contamination of the chemicals and any undesired contact of environmentally hazardous chemicals with the environment.
  • the container opening before a possible removal of the liquid present in the container body, the container opening must be opened and provided with a multifunctional adapter.
  • the multi-function adapter regularly has a complex shape, so that the multi-function adapter difficult of Chemical residues or other impurities can be cleaned.
  • contamination of the liquid in the container body occurs through the environment or accidentally by the consumer. A contamination is feared in particular in connection with water-sensitive substances and solvents, which can not be excluded even in an exclusive contact with moist ambient air.
  • a barrel container such as in DE 20 2006 012 195 U1 does not meet the standards established in practice and is not suitable as a transport container for transport between a bottling and a consuming company. Furthermore, this barrel container on a multi-function adapter, so that the feared disadvantages associated with the use of a multi-function adapter can not be avoided.
  • a drum container according to the preamble of claim 1 is from the document DE 10 2007 055 466 known.
  • the filling of the container body can be done via the container opening as before. This can then be firmly closed and must not be opened before the liquid can be removed from the container body again.
  • each separate openings are provided for the supply of the propellant gas and the removal of the liquid contained in the container body. These openings can have a considerably smaller diameter than the container opening which is advantageously large-sized for filling purposes. Since a separate opening is provided for the gas supply and for the liquid removal, the use of a multi-function adapter is no longer necessary. It can be used simple, easy and reliable to clean valves.
  • the gas supply opening has a filling valve and the liquid removal opening has a removal valve.
  • the filling valve may be configured such that leakage of liquid contained in the container body is prevented by an automatic closing mechanism, and the filling valve only allows external filling of the container body.
  • the liquid removal opening can be closed with a removal valve which, upon actuation of the removal valve, allows only withdrawal of the liquid present in the container body and prevents the penetration of contaminants from the outside into the container body.
  • the arrangement of the filling valve and the extraction valve in the lid not only facilitates their handling, but also allows a smaller space requirement.
  • multifunctional adapters or valves that are placed on the central filling opening and above this filling space for their arrangement and operation and for the associated connecting lines require the filling valve and the sampling valve can be made small and compact and with the associated connection lines are connected.
  • the drum container has an annular cover frame projecting over the filling valve and via the removal valve.
  • handle holes may be arranged to facilitate transport and handling of the drum container.
  • the bottom of the drum container can be equipped with a matched to the lid frame bottom frame, which allows a positive engagement in the lid frame and thus a simple and reliable stacking several drum containers on top of each other.
  • connection of the associated connection lines is much easier than the arrangement and sealing of a known multi-function adapter.
  • the operations required for a removal of the liquid from the container body require, in contrast to the use of a multi-function adapter in a suitable embodiment of the filling and removal valves no direct access to the container body, or the region of the filling and removal opening.
  • the filling valve or the extraction valve each have a quick-acting coupling device which at a connection of the filling valve or the extraction valve with an associated connection line opens the filling valve or the extraction valve.
  • Such coupling devices for valves are known in practice. As soon as the associated connection line is connected to the filling valve or to the removal valve with such a quick-release coupling device, the valve is opened and a flow through the valve with the supplied propellant gas or with the fluid forced out of the container body becomes possible. An additional manual actuation of the respective valve is not required.
  • a filter device is arranged in the filling valve and / or in the sampling valve.
  • the filter device can be used to prevent contamination of the contents of the drum container via contaminated connecting lines. It is also possible to prevent contaminants or moisture from penetrating into the interior of the drum container during the initial connection of the drum container to the connection lines provided at a consumer or during subsequent conversion via the gas supply opening or the liquid removal opening.
  • the filling valve and the extraction valve are substantially identical.
  • valves known and commercially available which are equally suitable for liquid and gaseous fluids or can be adapted by the use of suitable seals to different fluids.
  • Such valves can also be designed so that they can be flowed through in an open state only in one direction of the fluid, while an inflowing in the opposite direction fluid closes the valve automatically and flow through the valve is thereby prevented.
  • the filling valve and the removal valve may also have a different design in order to be adapted as best as possible to the respective function.
  • the liquid removal opening is connected to one end of a dip tube, the other end of which opens into an area of the container body opposite the liquid removal opening.
  • the liquid removal opening is arranged in the region of the lid of the container body, so that the liquid removal opening opposite end of the dip tube in the region of the bottom of the container body has its mouth opening and liquid is removed from this area.
  • the dip tube opens into a centrally disposed recess in the bottom of the container body.
  • the recess whose diameter is smaller than the diameter of the drum, collects during the removal of the liquid, a small residual amount into which protrudes the dip tube, so that further liquid can be removed until the level drops so low in the well, that it falls under the mouth opening of the dip tube.
  • the container opening of the drum container can be closed with a seal.
  • the filling opening can be tightly sealed and sealed. If the seal were damaged, then one could Manipulation of the contents of the drum or its contamination can no longer be excluded.
  • an undamaged seal is a recognized and documented proof that the filling opening has not been opened in the meantime and, if necessary, resealed.
  • the gas supply opening and the liquid removal opening or the filling valve and the extraction valve are sealed with seals or with a tamper-evident closure, so that access to the liquid in the container body is not possible even via these openings. until the seals or the closures are opened.
  • barrel container 1 has a cylindrical container body 2.
  • the cylindrical container body 2 has a lid 3 and a bottom 4, which are made in one piece together with a lid 3 to the bottom 4 connecting the container wall 5 and form the container body 2.
  • a container opening 6 is arranged centrally in the lid 3.
  • the diameter of the container opening 6 corresponds approximately to 1/6 of the diameter of the cylindrical container body 2.
  • the container body 2 can be filled through the container opening 6 easily and quickly with a liquid or liquid chemical, not shown in the drawing.
  • the container opening 6 is closed in a filled state of the container body 2 with a closure 7 in order to avoid contamination of the liquid contained in the container body 2 can.
  • a gas supply opening 8 and a liquid discharge opening 9 are arranged laterally next to the container opening 6 opposite each other.
  • the diameter of the gas supply opening 8 and the liquid removal opening 9 is each considerably smaller than the diameter of the container opening 6.
  • the gas supply opening 8 is closed with a filling valve 10, while the liquid removal opening 9 is closed with a removal valve 11.
  • the filling valve 10 and the extraction valve 11 each have a coupling device 12, 13, by means of which the filling valve 10 or the extraction valve 11 can be connected in a simple manner to an end piece of an associated connecting line adapted thereto.
  • a propellant gas such as carbon dioxide or nitrogen can be injected into the container body 2 via the gas supply opening 8 to discharge liquid from the container body 2 upon actuation or opening of the extraction valve 11 allow.
  • a dip tube 14 is connected at one end 15 to the liquid removal opening 9. Another, the first end 15 opposite end 16 of the dip tube 14 opens in the region of the bottom 4 of the container body 2. About an immediately above the bottom 4 located inlet 17, the pressurized liquid can penetrate into the dip tube 14 and through the liquid removal opening 9 and Outlet valve 11 emerge. In an upright storage of the drum container 1 is ensured via the dip tube 14 that an uninterrupted or undisturbed removal of liquid from the container body 2 is possible until a liquid level in the container body 2 has dropped so far that the inlet opening 17 is no longer from the Liquid is covered and propellant gas can escape. The container body 2 is then largely emptied and can then be cleaned and refilled.
  • the drum container 1 has a protruding in extension of the container wall 5 annular cover frame 18 and a bottom frame 19 adapted thereto.
  • the bottom frame 19 has an inwardly offset, downwardly projecting annular bead 20 on.
