Definitions
- the present invention relates to an iron sole and to a method for the production thereof, in particular for a steam iron, whose surface is made of anodized aluminum for application to the objects to be ironed and / or coated with an anodized aluminum layer.
- polished soles are sensitive to scratches and stains, especially if they are made of aluminum or coated with an aluminum layer.
- an aluminum-containing enamel coating substrate comprising at least on the enamel coating surfaces a surface layer of aluminum or aluminum alloy and an oxide layer on said surface layer, said oxide layer having an isotropic barrier layer of 0.01 to 1 ⁇ m thickness Dielectric constant between 5 and 10 represents. At this barrier layer may also be present a porous oxide layer of a thickness of 0.1 to 10 microns. On the substrate is an enamel coating, for example, a thickness of 50 to 200 microns. Applied.
- the enamelled substrates can be used as outer cladding on vehicles or buildings, the email-coated substrates are well protected against external influences.
- the present invention has for its object to eliminate the known from the prior art disadvantage.
- the soleplate according to the invention in particular for a steam iron, whose surface is made of anodized aluminum for application to the objects to be ironed and / or coated with an anodized aluminum layer, is characterized in that on the anodized aluminum surface a the ironing and sliding properties improving raised enamel graphic is applied.
- the color pigments are preferably selected from the group of silicate paints which consist of two components and are therefore also referred to as two-component silicate paints or pure silicate paints.
- One component is the so-called fixative, it consists of liquid water glass.
- the other component consists of pigments and fillers. Both components are combined just before processing and mixed with each other. Silicatmaschine therefore have only a limited processing and storage time.
- the enamel graphic is tapered towards the soleplate. This advantageously further reduces the coefficient of friction, especially in the longitudinal direction of the soleplate, i. in the direction in which the sole has to be moved mainly to get best strap quality.
- the enamel graphics are applied by screen and / or pad printing. These techniques make it possible to obtain e-mail graphics with a very accurate and sharp course, i. without burrs that can diminish the gliding of the sole.
- the enamel graphics are obtained by vitrifying a composition of enamel particles. This vitrification or sintering causes rounding of the edges of the graphics and a smoothing of their surface, which also - depending on the design of the graphics - supports sliding.
- the hardness of the raised enamel graphic is greater than that of the anodized aluminum of the soleplate to which the enamel graphic is applied.
- embodiments have proven in which the hardness of the underlying under the enamel graphic iron sole, measured with a Vickerspitze to which a force of 0.3 daN is applied, preferably between 470 and 570, while the raised enamel graphic preferably a hardness of about 1000 has.
- the present invention relates to a method for producing an iron sole as described above, wherein the enamel graphic in an industrial furnace at a temperature between 550 ° C and 600 ° C and a residence time of at least 15 minutes with the anodized aluminum surface of the soleplate is baked.
- the present invention surprisingly improves the state of the art of soleplates. It is further described by means of an embodiment, to which it is not limited, and in connection with the drawing.
- Fig. 1 shows schematically the surface 11 of an iron sole 10 of a steam iron 1, which is pierced by openings 13 for the passage of steam.
- At least the surface 11 of the sole 10, which is intended to come into contact with the objects to be ironed, consists for example of rolled aluminum, which is subsequently electrolytically oxidized.
- a thin natural oxide layer already forms in the air after a short time due to the high affinity of aluminum for oxygen. Only after a few months, this process is completed and the oxide layer formed so thick that no oxygen diffusion takes place. The layer has then reached a thickness of about 0.05 ⁇ m and does not grow any further. These However, small layer thickness does not provide adequate protection. Therefore, by anodic oxidation in an electrolyte, the aluminum is protected at the surface 11 with a thick aluminum oxide layer, which is called in the German-speaking countries ELOXAL (Electrolytic Oxidized Aluminum). Technically correct, the method is called anodization and the product is anodized aluminum.
- the anodized coating not only gives excellent corrosion protection, but also a very decorative appearance with the ability to color the aluminum surface in a variety of shades.
- a raised enamel graphic 20 is applied to the anodized aluminum surface 11 of the soleplate 10, which is tapered, for example, towards the tip 12 of the soleplate 10, and which initially preferred to increase the designerische variety color pigments of a Silicate color can be maintained, in which preferably the silicon components have been replaced by aluminum, which further promotes the caking of the enamel 20 with the aluminum 11.
- the enamel graphic 20 has preferably been applied by screen and / or pad printing, starting from a composition of enamel ponds on the surface 11 and baked with this.
- the individual lines of the enamel graphic 20 can have a thickness between 10 and 100 ⁇ m.
- the width of individual lines of the enamel graphic 20 can be between a few hundredths of a millimeter and a few millimeters.
- the enamel graphic can - as shown for example in the area of the tip 12, also include smaller surface sections made of enamel.
- Ironing soles 10 according to the invention can be produced as follows:
- An enamel graphic 20 is applied to the anodized aluminum surface 11 of an iron sole 10 by means of screen and / or pad printing in one or more steps by means of one or more printing masks, in particular in multicolor graphics.
- This enamel gräphik Mrs is optionally dried and baked in an industrial oven at a temperature between 550 ° C and 600 ° C and a residence time of at least 15 minutes with the anodized aluminum surface 11 of the soleplate 10.
- the enamel particles glaze. Sintering rounds off the edges 21 of the enamel graphic and smoothes its surface by eliminating any acute angle and bumps.
- the enamel graphic 20 arranged on the surface 11 of the sole 10 can markedly reduce the contact surface between the sole 10 and the textile to be ironed.
- the "sliding" of the sole 10 is markedly improved without causing the unsightly wear of the graphic 20 as in the prior art.
- an enamel graphic 20 according to the invention also causes a distance of a few tens of micrometers between the surface 11 and the sole 10, in which the openings 13 for the passage of the steam can open, so that formed by means of the graphics 20 advantageously channels for the propagation of the vapor can be, which advantageously improves the effect of the steam on the surface of the textile articles.
- the present invention improves the state of the art of soleplates 10, in which at least the surface 11 is made of anodized aluminum, in a surprising manner.

Description

EP 1 983 097 A1 , dieRU 2 213 166 C2 GB 1 173 586 A EP 0 869 215 A1 , dieCN 2 721 679 Y , dieEP 0 854 226 A1 , dieFR 2 848 290 A1 DE 10 2007 005 073 A1 hingewiesen.
Silicate in denen dies passiert nennt man Alumosilicate.
- Darin zeigen schematisch:
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
- die Bügeleisensohle aus
Fig. 1 ausschnittsweise im Schnitt entlang der Linie A-A.
