Definitions
- the invention relates to a protective jacket, in particular a fire protection jacket, with an integrated belt, wherein the ends of the belt are accessible through a respective opening at the front of the protective jacket.
- the known straps are used for self-rescue in emergency situations, this jeopardizes the health of the wearer to a high degree, because the burden of the weight of the wearer takes place exclusively in the abdominal and back area with a corresponding risk of injury.
- the stability of the upper body of the wearer is not guaranteed when hanging freely in such a belt.
- the risk of "head overhanging" is latent especially when wearing respirators.
- the straps according to EN 358 may only be used for holding and securing if there is no danger of falling. They therefore have a very limited field of application.
- rescue loops are known, which are certified according to the standard EN 1498 Class A.
- the rescue loop is in the form of a sling, which is either worn outside the protective jacket, at chest level, around the body of the body Straps or integrated into the protective jacket, where it is looped around the body at chest level.
- the known rescue loops when used according to EN 1498 cause great pain in the armpit.
- the known rescue loop is not flame retardant, as a result of which it can not be used as part of personal protective equipment according to EN 469.
- the well-known rescue loops according to EN 1498 Class A, therefore, as well as the aforementioned fire brigade belts according to the standard EN 358 have a very limited range of use.
- the object of the present invention in contrast, is to provide a protective jacket, in particular a fire protection jacket, in which a minimum load for the wearer is accompanied by extended possibilities of use.
- a protective jacket in particular a fire protection jacket, with an integrated belt
- the ends of the belt are accessible through an opening at the front of the protective jacket, wherein between the ends of the belt a security loop is arranged or formed and the security loop through an opening at the front of the protective jacket is accessible.
- the protective jacket thereby fulfills both a holding function and a function for preventing crashes.
- the safety sling makes it possible to hold or secure. Holding is understood to mean securing vulnerable people and emergency responders in a crash-prone area with the aim of preventing a crash.
- the retaining loop allows retention, wherein the retention of the support means a restriction of the movement space of the wearer. A crash can be so be ruled out that the carrier is prevented from reaching a crash edge. Areas of application of restraint are, for example, activities on ladders, flat roofs or on embankments.
- the wearer of the protective jacket can secure himself when securing a person to be rescued by means of the security loop on an anchor point, ie a fixed breakpoint.
- the security loop is accessible through an opening at the front of the protective jacket, the wearer of the protective jacket can easily access them. Furthermore, since the belt is integrated into the jacket and closed only when necessary, the air circulation is improved. This will remove more heat and moisture from the jacket. Due to more air / air circulation, a higher partial pressure is built up so that the protective jacket has an improved breathability.
- the security loop thus represents the connection between the wearer of the protective jacket and a stop point. Furthermore, a connection between the wearer of the protective jacket, an attachment point and another person can be realized by the security loop. Due to the high security requirements, such a backup is possible only with a security loop and not with a conventional loop.
- the safety sling is directly connected to the belt so that it remains permanently "at the moment". So there is no need for an additional sling that could possibly be forgotten.
- this preferably has an eye formed in the security loop and a spacer, through which the eye is spaced a few centimeters from the belt.
- the protective jacket and / or the belt also meet the requirements of the standards EN 469, in particular the requirements of the standards EN 469: 2005, so that the protective jacket and / or the belt can be used as part of a personal protective equipment for the fire department.
- protective jacket and / or the belt meets the requirements of standards EN 137: 1993, 6.3.1.4. Accordingly, protective jacket and / or belt must not burn for more than 5 seconds after removal from a test flame.
- the security loop can be accessible through an opening through which one end of the belt is accessible. In this case can be dispensed with another opening on the protective jacket.
- the security loop has the same tensile strength as the rest of the belt.
- all components of the belt are suitable and usable for all purposes.
- the belt has a width of at least 8 cm. As a result, pain in use can be prevented and the requirements of EN 358 can be met.
- the protective jacket has on its inside an integrated channel and / or at least one loop, in particular a plurality of loops, for receiving the belt. This will ensure that the strap is held well in the protective jacket. In addition, forces acting on the belt can be evenly distributed to the protective jacket / wearer. The belt should remain permanently in the protective jacket.
- the belt has a loop on at least one end, preferably on both ends.
- the loops can be stowed in the protective skin of the protective jacket.
- the loops can be pulled out of the pectorals, possibly crossed over the upper body and used by one or two auxiliary persons as a carrying strap.
- the wearer can be transported lying or sitting, depending on the state of health.
- the loops may alternatively be pulled backwards under the arms of the wearer, as described above.
- the security loop described above is provided in addition to the one loop or the two loops.
- a band is arranged with which the end of the belt can be pulled through the associated opening at the front of the protective jacket.
- the Band can be executed in contrasting colors and thus be clearly visible from outside.
- the band can be fixed freely accessible outside the protective jacket. This prevents slippage of the belt in the protective jacket.
- the tape is fastened with a Velcro on the protective jacket.
- the band may comprise a first hook-and-loop fastener which is attachable to the protective jacket by means of a complementary second hook-and-loop fastener.
- the band further comprises a second Velcro closure part complementary to the first Velcro closure part.
- the tape can be folded after pulling out of the belt to the rear, after which the first Velcro part can be attached to the second Velcro part.
- the band does not interfere with the further handling of the strap end.
- both strap ends each have a band, wherein the bands each have both a first Velcro closure part and a complementary second Velcro closure part for fixing the bands after repelling.
- the protective jacket can be used as a rappelling system. With a corresponding rope, the wearer of the protective jacket can thus be made of tall buildings or the like bring to safety.
- the ring is in this case preferably circular in shape to allow easy rope guidance. In contrast to, for example, D-shaped rings in the case of circular rings also has a much higher stability.
- the inner diameter of the ring is preferably chosen so large that standardized safety ropes with typical diameters of 9 mm to 11 mm can be comfortably guided in the ring.
- an abseiling figure eight may be provided for guiding a rope.
- At least one carabiner may be provided on the belt, in particular on one end of the belt.
- the carabiner can be used to attach further rescue systems and / or as a closure mechanism for the belt used.
- the carabiner can be hooked, for example, in the ring and / or a loop of the belt.
- the carabiner is preferably designed in the form of a twist-lock carabiner. This can be made so that it can only be opened when a Twist Lock carabiner closing snapper is raised against a spring force and / or rotated. Such a design of the carabiner, the belt of the protective jacket according to the invention can be particularly safe against unintentional opening.
- the ring and / or the carabiner are preferably captively attached to the belt.
- the belt can therefore be used at any time for the case of need.
- a lower body belt system in particular a belt loop for securing the lower body of the wearer of the protective jacket can be fastened.
- This can, especially in conjunction with a long belt loop of about 3.8 meters running, an effective crash and Rescue ensured with a force on the torso and thighs of the wearer.
- the risk of "head overhanging" can be largely eliminated by the use of such a lower body belt system.
- the scope of the invention also includes a harness for use in a protective jacket which has a loop at each of its ends and complies with the requirements of EN 358 and EN 1498 Class A standards, with a safety sling placed or formed between the ends of the strap is and at least one ring for guiding a rope and / or a carabiner are provided on the belt.
- the strap may thereby be suitable for holding and securing as well as for preventing crashes and for the emergency transport of the wearer. In particular, can be dispensed with different security systems.
- the ring and / or the carabiner are captively fastened to the belt, in particular at the ends of the belt.
- the belt can thus be available for use at any time.
- the loops may be formed at the ends of the belt so large that a rescuer can pass his hand.

Abstract
