  • One way to be able to keep the paper roll in the paper holder is to put the external function module EFM6 in the middle of the paper roll, fig 3c .

  • This connector could be a special additional connector which can be used as an interface between tachograph and the external function module.

Claims (6)

  1. Fahrtenschreiber, der zum Anschluss an ein externes Funktionsmodul geeignet ist, wobei der Fahrtenschreiber umfasst:
    - ein sicherheitsgeschütztes Gehäuse (PTC),
    - zumindest eine, drahtgebundene oder drahtlose, Funktionsmodulschnittstelle (IFFM1) zur sicheren Datenkommunikation zwischen dem Fahrtenschreiber und einer Fahrtenschreiberdatenschnittstelle von einem angeschlossenen externen Funktionsmodul (EFM1, EFM2, EFM3), wobei das externe Funktionsmodul zumindest eine Funktion (EF1, EF2, EF3) umfasst,
    wobei der Fahrtenschreiber umfasst:
    - Mittel (RECEFM) zum Erkennen verschiedener Arten von Funktionen des angeschlossenen externen Funktionsmoduls,
    - Mittel (AEFM) zum sich selbst Anpassen zum Verwenden erkannter Arten von Funktionen des angeschlossenen externen Funktionsmoduls,
    wobei das Erkennen von Funktionen oder das Anpassen des Fahrtenschreibers zumindest teilweise automatisch erfolgt, wenn das externe Funktionsmodul an den Fahrtenschreiber angeschlossen ist, wobei die Funktionsmodulschnittstelle eine mechanische Schnittstelle umfasst, die zumindest aus einem Hohlraum oder einer Aussparung an der Außenseite des sicherheitsgeschützten Gehäuses besteht, wobei der Hohlraum oder die Aussparung dafür konfiguriert ist, dass das externe Funktionsmodul darin platziert werden kann, und wobei der Fahrtenschreiber konfiguriert ist, um zumindest eine der folgenden Funktionen, die in dem angeschlossenen externen Funktionsmodul enthalten sind, zu erkennen und zu verwenden:
    - GPS-Funktion,
    - Bereichszugangszahlung,
    - Recheneinheitsfunktion, wobei die externe Funktion für Berechnungen, z.B. Berechnungen von Zeitgrenzen für eine Fahrzeit,
    - Mobiltelefonfunktionen,
    - Frachtinformationen,
    - Bewegungssensor,
    - Unfall/Ereignis-Aufzeichnungsvorrichtung,
    - Prozessor und Speicher, die von einem Benutzer für personalisierte Funktionen programmierbar sind,
    - Telematikfunktionen zum drahtlosen Herunterladen von Daten aus dem Fahrtenschreiber- oder einem Fahrerdatenspeicher.
  2. Fahrtenschreiber nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, umfassend eine drahtgebundene oder drahtlose Modul-Leistungsversorgungsschnittstelle (PDTG1) zur Leistungsversorgung eines angeschlossenen externen Funktionsmoduls und/oder zum Laden einer Leistungsquelle in einem angeschlossenen externen Funktionsmodul.
  3. Fahrtenschreiber nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, der sich an bestimmte externe Funktionen, die in dem angeschlossenen externen Funktionsmodul enthalten sind, auf zumindest einem der folgenden Wege anpassen kann:
    - Hinzufügen eines zusätzlichen Menüs in Bezug auf die externe Funktion in einer Benutzeroberfläche des Fahrtenschreibers,
    - Konfigurieren einer Anzeige des Fahrtenschreibers, um ein Feld in der Anzeige zum Anzeigen von Daten, die sich auf die externe Funktion beziehen, zu verwenden,
    - sich selbst Konfigurieren, um spezifische Daten an die externe Funktion zu übertragen,
    - sich selbst Konfigurieren, um Daten von der externen Funktion zu erhalten,
    - sich selbst Konfigurieren, sodass ein Drucker eines Fahrtenschreibers von der externen Funktion gesteuert werden kann.
  4. Lösbares externes Funktionsmodul (EFM1-EFM6), das zum Anschließen an einen Fahrtenschreiber nach einem der Ansprüche 1-3 konfiguriert ist, umfassend:
    - eine mechanische Schnittstelle zum Anschluss an den Fahrtenschreiber, wobei das externe Funktionsmodul konfiguriert ist, um in dem Hohlraum oder der Aussparung an der Außenseite des Gehäuses des Fahrtenschreibers platziert zu werden,
    - eine Fahrtenschreiberschnittstelle (IFTD1) zur sicheren, drahtgebundenen oder drahtlosen Datenkommunikation mit der Funktionsmodulschnittstelle des Fahrtenschreibers,
    - zumindest eine Funktion (EF11, EF12, EF13), die konfiguriert ist, um von dem Fahrtenschreiber erkannt und verwendet zu werden, umfassend zumindest eines von:
    - GPS-Funktion,
    - Bereichszugangszahlung,
    - Recheneinheitsfunktion, wobei die externe Funktion für Berechnungen, z.B. Berechnungen von Zeitgrenzen für eine Fahrzeit,
    - Mobiltelefonfunktionen,
    - Frachtinformationen,
    - Bewegungssensor,
    - Unfall/Ereignis-Aufzeichnungsvorrichtung,
    - Prozessor und Speicher, die von einem Benutzer für personalisierte Funktionen programmierbar sind,
    - Telematikfunktionen zum drahtlosen Herunterladen von Daten aus dem Fahrtenschreiber- oder einem Fahrerdatenspeicher.
  5. Externes Funktionsmodul nach Anspruch 4, weiter umfassend:
    - eine Leistungsschnittstelle (PEFM1) zum Empfangen von Leistung.
  6. Externes Funktionsmodul nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 5, umfassend eine Modulbenutzerschnittstelle (MUIF), z.B. eine Anzeige.
