Definitions
- the invention relates to watch movements comprising alarm or alarm mechanisms, and in particular such self-winding movements comprising such vibrating alarm mechanisms, these movements being intended to equip wristwatches, watches and watches. pocket or the like.
- a wristwatch sold by the company Jaeger Lecoultre under the reference “Master Grand R do” includes an alarm mechanism allowing an alarm to be triggered automatically at a predefined time by the user.
- This alarm function is provided by a mechanism connected to the movement which comprises an independent cylinder, an adjustment system for programming the time of ringing, a trigger system connected to the gear train of the movement and activating the alarm at the scheduled time , and a bell to warn the wearer.
- the ring comprises a first stamp on which a hammer is struck to generate an audible signal and secondly means vibrating the watch without generating an audible sound signal.
- a switch is used to select the triggering of either an audible alarm or a vibrating silent alarm.
- the wakeup mechanism requires an additional source of energy, and includes elements specific to the operating mode of the mechanism in silent alarm mode that increases the complexity and bulk of the structure.
- the amplitude of the vibration is limited.
- the main object of the present invention is to remedy one or more of these disadvantages of the abovementioned prior art by providing a self-winding watch movement advantageously using the energy stored by the barrel of a self-winding base movement. to operate an alarm mechanism.
- the present invention also aims to provide a self-winding clockwork movement comprising a silent vibrating alarm mechanism advantageously using elements of the movement and to produce a vibration of high amplitude.
- Another object of the invention is to provide a watch movement comprising such an alarm device having a particularly simple and inexpensive design to implement in the movement.
- the invention relates to a clockwork movement 1 according to claim 1.
- the vibrating alarm mechanism obtained has the advantage of being simplified and not requiring a dedicated energy source. This results in a saving of space to accommodate other modules in the case of the watch, such as a chronograph module, without requiring an increase in the caliber of the watch.
- the use of the oscillating mass as a vibrating element according to a preferred embodiment of the invention provides vibrations of greater amplitude than with a traditional vibrating element, on the one hand, and decreases on the other hand. parallel to the number of parts to be assembled, just as the fact to reuse many parts of the winding train, according to another preferred embodiment. This results in easier assembly and lower manufacturing costs for a watch with such a movement.
- the figure 1 represents a top view of a watch movement 1 of a wristwatch according to a preferred embodiment of the invention.
- the proposed clockwork movement 1 associates a vibrating alarm mechanism with a clockwork movement comprising an automatic winding mechanism, known per se to those skilled in the art.
- This mechanism of automatic winding movement 1 uses the rotation of an oscillating mass 2 - visible further on the figures 2 er 3 for storing mechanical energy in a barrel 36 via a gear train 31,32,34 constituting a kinematic chain 3 which meshes with the ground pinion 21 of the oscillating mass 2 - represented on the figure 2 which forms a toothed wheel.
- this winding mechanism is of the winding type in a single direction, thanks to a conventional inverting wheel 31, as described for example in FIGS. pages 35-37 of the book "The Swiss automatic watch” by B. Humbert , and whose operation will be explained later.
- the mobiles 32 and 34 are reduction mobiles each having a wheel and a pinion integral and coaxial, they are intended to establish a suitable gear ratio to adjust the speed of rotation to be obtained at the output of the train 3 according to that of the 21.
- the wheels and gears of all the moving parts of the wheel are illustrated by the figure 3 , which makes it possible to clearly visualize the gearing of the different elements on each other.
- the oscillating mass 2 is rotatably mounted on a support 5 fixed to a plate 6, itself fixed in the case of the watch.
- the reversing wheel 31 is also rotatably mounted on the support 5, which has adequate cutouts so that the ground pinion 21 of the oscillating mass 2 meshes with a first toothing 311 of the reversing wheel 31, while a second toothing 312 of the inversion wheel 31 meshes with the wheel of the reduction wheel 32.
- the inversion wheel 31 forms a "free wheel”: in a first direction of rotation of the oscillating mass 2, the first toothing of the first mobile 311 of the inversion wheel 31 is coupled to the second toothing of the second mobile 312 of this inversion wheel, while in the second direction of rotation of the oscillating mass 2, the first toothing 311 of the inversion wheel 31 is uncoupled from the second toothing 312.
- the inverting wheel consists of a ratchet system comprising tenons on which are mounted arms 313 fixed on the first mobile 311, partially visible on the figure 1 and also visible on the sectional view of the figure 3 - while stops are formed on the periphery of the second mobile 312, which is also integral with a star hub on its axis of rotation.
- the arms of the pawl 313 cooperate with the hub and the stops (not visible on the figure 1 ) such that they rotate the second mobile for the direction of rotation S1 of the oscillating mass 2, and declicker in the opposite direction of rotation S2.
- the reduction gear 32 meshing with the inverting wheel 31 is rotatably mounted relative to the support 5; it comprises a pinion 322 and a reduction wheel 321, both visible on the figure 3 .
- the reduction wheel 321 meshes with a wheel 341 of another reduction wheel 34, also called a ratchet wheel, rotatably mounted on a bridge 35 secured to the plate 6.
- the wheel 341 meshes with the ratchet wheel 33 which makes it possible to raise the spring of the barrel 36.
- the ratchet wheel 33 of the barrel 36 is rotatably mounted relative to the bridge 35, but integral in rotation relative to the hub of the barrel 36, and which meshes with the pinion 342 of the second reduction gear 34 for the automatic winding of the movement .
- a manual winding of the barrel 36 is also possible via the winding wheel 371, which also meshes with the ratchet wheel 33.
- the winding wheel 371 is rotatably mounted relative to the bridge 35 and can be set in rotation by the user who wants to perform a manual winding of the watch by actuating a rod or a ring provided with an outer gripping wheel 372.
- the energy stored in the spring (not shown) of the barrel 36 can therefore be obtained either by the rotation of the oscillating weight 2 or by manual winding, the manual winding device 37 being formed by the wheel 372 and the winding wheel 371. The latter is hidden on the figure 2 by the oscillating mass 2.
- the movement 1 according to the invention also comprises a vibrating alarm mechanism, which uses the same energy source 36 as that of the automatic movement 1, as well as a kinematic chain 4 provided with an actuating device 41, visible on the figures 1 and 2 , and a vibrating element 42.
- the actuating device 41 of the vibrating alarm device is formed according to the variant illustrated by a pawl 411 and a spring 412 which make it possible to lock the barrel 36 in rotation outside the alarm times. at the compression of the pawl 411 on the toothing of one of the wheels of the wheel 4 via the spring 412, but to release this toothing precisely when the alarm is triggered at a fixed time, preferably adjustable by the user .
- the pawl 411 pivots to release the toothing of one of the moving wheels of the kinematic chain 4 and thus restore the energy stored in the barrel 36.
- a control device not shown , makes it possible to rotate the pawl 411 between a locking position, outside the alarm time, and a release position during the alarm time.
- the vibrating element 42 of the vibrating alarm mechanism is the oscillating mass 2.
- This element is therefore referenced 2/42 on the figures 2 and 3 to indicate that the same structural element corresponds to two distinct logical elements.
- the oscillating mass 2 is in turn driven or driven when it acts as a vibrating element 42.
- the vibrating element 42 of the vibrating alarm mechanism, formed by the oscillating mass 2 is intended to generate a detectable vibration at the wrist of the oscillator. 'user; when the watch rests on a hard surface, the vibrations generated by the alarm mechanism will make the watch skip which will cause a noise during shocks with this surface.
- the energy source used to power the vibrating alarm mechanism and the finishing train 7, constituted by the barrel 36 common to the two kinematic chains 3 and 4, is here purely mechanical. However, it is possible to envisage another source. of energy, by electrical or electromechanical example, to supply the vibrating alarm device of the invention, and / or the normal display of the time. It is, for example, possible to apply the invention to an ETA Autoquartz type mechanism, in which the mechanical energy of the oscillating mass is used to power a generator, coupled to an accumulator which supplies electrical energy to an engine. Lavet type.
- pawl 411 acts here on the inverting wheel 31, but which could also act, according to other variants not shown, on any element of the gear of the first kinematic chain 3 of winding, such as the ratchet wheel 33 , or either of the reduction wheels 32,34.
- the pawl 411 according to the invention therefore has a dual purpose: apart from the triggering of the vibrating alarm mechanism, it acts on the winding mechanism to allow the energy to be stored in the barrel 36, and thus replaces a traditional ratchet barrel.
- the second kinematic chain starts from the ratchet wheel 33 in the opposite direction to the wheel between the ratchet 34 and the reduction wheel 33 to the inverting wheel 31, which this time causes the first mobile 311 since the second mobile 312 to finally mesh with the pinion 21, driven in a direction of rotation S2 opposite to S1.
- the sectional view of the movement according to the figure 3 illustrating a preferred variant of the invention according to which the two kinematic chains 3 and 4 are merged, makes it possible to better visualize the gearing of the different elements of the gear train common to these two kinematic chains 3,4. It is thus possible to see the train proceeding from the oscillating mass 2 and meshing with the first mobile 311 of the inverting wheel 31, which drives the second mobile 312 and the gear 314 coaxial with the second mobile 312, which itself meshes with the mobile reduction 32, the pinion 322 of which is located above the impeller 321 rotates the wheel 341 of the second reduction gear 34, the lower gear 342 meshes with the ratchet wheel. 33, which raises the spring of the barrel 36.
- the energy is released to the work train 7, while the energy retaining pawl in the barrel 36, formed according to the invention by the pawl 411 triggering the mechanism of vibrating alarm, not shown, for readability issues.
- the same wheel 33, 342, 341, 322, 321, 314, 312, 311, 21 is used in the opposite direction from the ratchet wheel 33 to actuate the rotation of the oscillating mass acting as a vibrating element 42.
- the kinematic chain 4 making it possible to transform the energy of the barrel 36 into rotation of the oscillating mass 2 goes back to the same wheel 3 that that used for the winding of the barrel 36. It is thus not necessary to place another gear from the teeth of the barrel 36 in series to the work train 7 for the vibrating alarm mechanism according to the invention.
- the preferred variant of the watch movement according to the invention furthermore contains an alarm actuation duration limitation device 43, which sets a maximum energy picking threshold for the barrel 36 feeding both the gear train and the gearbox. finishing 7 and the vibrating alarm mechanism, so that the triggering of the latter has no adverse influence on the proper operation of the movement thus not altering its power reserve too damaging manner.
- this alarm actuation duration limitation device 43 comprises, according to a preferred variant of the invention, a wheel 432 which meshes with one of the elements of the second kinematic chain 4, such as, for example, the reduction wheel 32, common to the two kinematic chains 3,4 according to the illustrated variant, and a second pawl 431 which meshes with this wheel 432.
- the alarm actuation duration limitation device 43 meshes with a common element to the winding kinematic chain 3 and the second kinematic chain of the vibrating alarm mechanism 4, as is the case for the illustrated embodiment, it must be ensured that it is inactive during the winding of the barrel 36 by said oscillating mass 2 and blocking when triggering the alarm. This could be achieved by a particular arrangement of the second pawl 431 and the notch in the wheel 432, for example with oblique shapes to allow snapping only in one direction.
- the wheel 432 could also consist of two mobiles coupled in rotation similarly to an inverting wheel, the first mobile being secured to the notch in which the pawl 431 would be housed, while the second mobile unit would mesh with one of the elements common to the two kinematic chains 3,4, such as, for example, the reduction wheel 32.
- the wheel of the wheel 432 meshing with the kinematic chains is arranged in such a way that it clicks during reassembly barrel 36, it will then be driving when actuating the alarm and it will suffice to cause the unclamping of the pawl 431 when triggering the alarm to allow the unlocking of the limitation wheel 432.
- the rotation of the limitation wheel 432 would not only be limited, but permanently equal to one and only one complete revolution of this limitation wheel 432 when triggering alarm.
- the duration of the alarm would be identical for each alarm trip, the duration of the alarm then being only determined by the number of teeth of the limitation wheel 432.
- this coupling characteristic can be achieved independently of the choice of the maximum duration of activation of the alarm, in particular if this duration is simply bounded but not necessarily always equal, as for example if the wheel 432 limitation is constituted by a single mobile and with an asymmetrical snap, that is to say passing for the winding of the barrel 36 by the oscillating mass 2, but blocking for the activation of the vibrating alarm mechanism in the opposite direction to the same kinematic chain 3,4.
- the invention also relates to a watch, for example a wristwatch, comprising a case, and a watch movement according to one of the previously described embodiments housed in said case.
