Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the field of mechanical watchmaking. It relates, more particularly, to a timepiece comprising a discrete striking mechanism intended to take place in a watch case, the mechanism comprising a source of energy and an actuating member intended to be driven by the source of energy.
  • the timepiece is equipped with a vibrator to obtain a discreet ring.
  • the striking mechanism rotates a reciprocating cam, cooperating with a back-and-forth movement, which actuates a hammer striking a pin. arranged in the bottom of the box.
  • this embodiment can not be applied to all timepieces. Especially, if the piece is heavy, the power developed by the vibrator mechanism is not sufficient to put the piece in vibration and allow the wearer to feel that his watch vibrates. In addition, it has been found that the skin of the wearer is generally quite insensitive to the wrist, which also makes it difficult to perceive the vibration produced by the mechanism presented above.
  • FR 060602 describes a timepiece according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the object of the present invention is to propose another discrete striking mechanism, free from the above disadvantages.
  • the invention relates to a timepiece as defined in claim 1.
  • a bottom 10 of a watch case having a housing on its outer face.
  • the box is round and the housing takes the form of a groove 12 bordering the bottom of the box.
  • the groove 12 may be asymmetrical and present in a continuous manner, as shown particularly by figures 1 and 2 , an increasing depth on a half-perimeter and decreasing on the other half-perimeter, so that it has a minimum depth at a point A and a maximum depth at a point B, diametrically opposite the point A.
  • the connecting member may advantageously take the form of a rod 16, one end 16a is housed in the opening 14. This end comprises an annular recess 16b on its outer periphery, in which takes place an elastic ring 18 which is strongly compressed by the walls of the opening 14. This ring 18 serves as a seal but also a pivot point for the rod, in a direction parallel to the bottom of the box, as will be understood below.
  • the rod 16 can receive at this end 16a and in its longitudinal axis, a screw 20 or other fastening means.
  • the latter On the side of the point B, that is to say in the region where the groove is the deepest, the latter has, in its bottom, a tapping 22 intended to receive a second screw 24.
  • This is advantageously of type in range, and defines a portion of the screw remaining essentially outside the tapping, but inside the groove.
  • a movable ring 26 with suitable dimensions is disposed in the groove 12.
  • the ring is pierced with a first hole to allow the passage of the screw 20. It is thus secured to the rod 16 in its pivoting movements.
  • the ring In an area substantially diametrically opposed to the first hole, the ring has a flange 30 on its face interior, that is to say on its side oriented towards the bottom of the groove 12. This flange 30 is intended to cooperate with the head of the screw 24 which thus forms a stop.
  • the first extreme position of the ring 26 is illustrated on the figure 1 . It can be seen that this is arranged in the groove 12 at the region of the point A. On the other hand, the ring 26 protrudes outside the groove 12 at the region of the point B, the ring being in position. abutment by the flange 30 on the head of the screw 24. When the watch is worn, the ring comes into contact with the wearer's skin, which then forms a stop for the ring 26 which does not go to its extreme position presented on the face.
  • the second extreme position of the ring 26 is illustrated on the figure 2 . It can be seen that it is entirely housed in the groove 12. The wrist skin of the wearer of the watch is not in contact with it.
  • the ring can move between a position in which it is in contact with the wearer's skin and a position in which it is not in contact with the wearer's skin.
  • This alternation allows the wearer to detect the movement of the ring, whereas it would not be the same if the ring was in permanent contact with his skin and exerted, through his movements, pressure variations. It has indeed been noted that at the wrist, the skin was relatively insensitive and did not perceive distinctly small variations in pressure, because It is obvious that the power available in the watch to exert such pressures does not make it possible to apply a large force.
  • the rod 16 cooperates at its second end 16c with the first portion 32a of a rocker 32.
  • This rocker also comprises a second portion 32b held in abutment, by a first spring not shown, against a cam of va-and 34 comes in the form of a wolf wheel.
  • the rocker 32 serves as a back and forth and forms, with the cam 34 and the rod 16, an actuating member of the ring 26. It will be noted that the presence of a back and forth return n
  • the cam 34 is kinematically connected to the alarm clock train and is rotated when the alarm clock is operating. Reference can be made to the aforementioned patent application for details of an embodiment in which a similar reciprocating cam is rotated by the alarm clock train.
  • a second spring member 36 weaker than the first, exerts a force on the ring 26 tending to rotate it around the elastic ring 18 and to bring the movable element to its first position. By this movement, the rod 16 is closer to the rocker, but the latter does not hinder his movement.
  • the rod 16 is positioned at about 88 ° relative to the plane of the box.
  • This second spring member 36 is advantageously constituted by a double leaf spring disposed in the bottom of the groove in the region of point A. This spring 36 is simply placed in the bottom of the groove and extends over an angle of minus 20 °, preferably about 45 °, to exert a force whose moment allows the pivoting of the ring 26.
  • a screw 38 visible on the figure 3 may be provided so as to prevent a possible tearing of the ring which holds only by the elastic ring 18 which is strongly constrained.
  • the screw 38 is simply attached to the box, leaving the ring free to operate, but serves as a safety stop if necessary.
  • the reciprocating cam 34 When the wakeup mechanism operates, the reciprocating cam 34 is rotated. It then raises the rocker 32 which pushes the rod 16 at about 90 ° to the plane of the box. This has the effect of constraining the spring 36 and bringing the ring 26 to its second position. With the rotation of the cam 34, the ring alternates between a position in which it is in contact with the wearer's skin and a position in which it is not, this alternation being felt by the wearer despite a maximum amplitude of only 2 °, especially when the ring hits his skin, which warns him that the time programmed for triggering the alarm clock is reached.
  • energy is provided by the movement to bring the ring 26 from its first to its second position, while it is the spring that brings the ring of its second to its first position.
  • the second position is not precisely defined, since, worn, it depends on the distance between the bottom of the box and the skin and therefore, the shape of the wrist of the wearer, there is There is no risk of blocking the movement, which could damage it.
  • the device presented above is completely silent when the watch is worn and operates as an alarm that could be described as sensitive.
  • the ring abuts on the head of the screw when it reaches its first position, which creates a slight slam, which can be heard, especially if the watch is placed on a resonant support. If the watch is placed by its bottom, on a rigid support, the ring will strike slightly the support, which can allow to hear the ringing.
  • the skilled person can adjust the stiffness of the spring member 36 to adjust the force with which the ring will tend to its first position and come into contact with the skin of the wearer.
  • the embodiment described above advantageously allows the use of the device in a watch whose bottom is provided with an ice and / or whose movement is self-winding.
  • the connecting member is arranged so as not to interfere with the passage of an oscillating mass and the position of the movable member allows the use of a transparent bottom.
  • the movable member can take different forms and be arranged in a housing capable of receiving it.
  • the movable element can pivot on a hinge, its passage to its first position being driven either directly at the hinge, in which case, the sealing is done at this level, either by a vertically translatable object, that is to say to say in the thickness of the box, to come out and push the movable element. In the latter case, it is sufficient to ensure sealing at the level of the object likely to project.
