Definitions
- the invention relates to a cartridge ammunition from a projectile and this receiving cartridge case according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a cartridge ammunition is used as a sharp ammunition or practice ammunition preferably in conjunction with rapid-fire weapons and in particular medium-caliber rapid fire cannons around 40 mm.
- the cartridge ammunition is stored in a belt, which is usually performed in the upper, the projectile-facing portion of the cartridge case.
- the cartridge shell has at its bottom on the circumference of the projectile slightly radially projecting flange, which forms the bottom of the cartridge ammunition
- the belt is inserted into the lock of the rapid-fire weapon, for inserting the cartridge ammunition in the barrel of the rapid-fire weapon usually include two retaining claws a Entgurtungs
- a Entgurtung leads the lock the bottom flange of the cartridge case and pull the cartridge ammunition with the lock abruptly first backwards out of the belt and then transfer it to the barrel of the weapon.
- Entgurtung the ammunition of the bottom flange of the cartridge case is mechanically very heavily loaded by the shear force occurring. It happens in some cases that parts of the radial bottom flange of the cartridge case are torn off. Thus, the cartridge is no longer kept in the lock and not transported further.
- the DE 40 34 880 A1 deals with a sleeve bottom with reduced strain.
- one or more circular Dehriungsfalten are embedded in the sleeve bottom. The depth of the fold is greater than the floor thickness of the case bottom.
- the DE 197 00 240 C1 relates to a cartridge case with incorporated compression body for maximum gas pressure determination.
- the compression body is made of lead and is integrated in a hole from the bottom of the sleeve to the powder space. At the bottom of the sleeve this ends in an arcuate groove.
- the sleeve is provided with other components. When the cartridge is fired, the gas pressure pushes the compression body into the arcuate groove. The higher the gas pressure, the further the groove is filled with the body. The extension of the groove can then be measured with a caliper and the gas pressure can be determined with the aid of a stirrup table.
- an ammunition cartridge with housing which consists at least partially of plastic, and with a base member which is provided with sharp beads and grooves, by means of which it is fixed to the plastic.
- the plastic engages in the groove.
- the individual grooves are sufficiently small to allow sufficient cold flow from the plastic into the grooves, with the plastic in and around the grooves being substantially stress-free.
- the WO 2004/015359 A1 describes an insulated cartridge case and ammunition, a method for making such sleeves and their use in a variety of weapon systems, in particular in electrothermal and electrothermal chemical cannon systems.
- a thin-walled cartridge case with a head (sleeve bottom) and the thin-walled sleeve is described.
- On the inside of the sleeve bottom is provided with a groove, which merges into a curved surface, which terminates at a transition point on the inside of the sleeve.
- the outer surface of the sleeve base is provided with an annular squib groove to reduce the weight of the cartridge case.
- the invention has for its object to provide a cartridge ammunition of the type in question, in which by a simple measure, the shearing off of the edge of the projecting beyond the floor circumference of the bottom shell of the cartridge case is prevented.
- the bottom flange of the cartridge case at least in the region of the retaining claws of Entgurtungs founded one or more recesses provided with which the thickness of the bottom is reduced there so that the bottom flange can be bent more there, ie it is substantially increases the bending stability of the soil .
- the sudden forces occurring during the Entgurten the cartridge ammunition are introduced by this increased bending elasticity, ie by the possibility of greater deflection of the bottom flange as bending forces in the bottom of the cartridge ammunition, instead of applying them as previously by shear forces.
- the burdens are thereby caught, without the bottom flange or parts of it being sheared off.
- the recess or recesses can be configured in a number of ways.
- One possibility is a relief groove running in close proximity to the peripheral edge of the bottom flange of the cartridge case.
- it may be provided to provide in the bottom flange of the cartridge case approximately along its circumference annularly extending relief bag holes or relief grooves.
- a relief groove may be provided, which is at a distance of 4 millimeters from the edge of the bottom flange parallel to this, has a width of 2 millimeters and a depth of 4 millimeters.
- the solution according to the invention is very simple and also inexpensive, since only a slight additional mechanical processing of the bottom flange of the cartridge case is required.
- FIG. 1 is a partially sectional view of a cartridge ammunition 1 with a caliber of, for example, 40 mm shown.
- the ammunition 1 comprises a cartridge case 10 and a projectile 11 received therein.
- a primer 13 and a propellant charge 14 are housed in a screwed into the bottom of the cartridge case 10 cartridge 12 .
- the cartridge 12 in this case limits a high-pressure chamber 21 in which the propellant charge 14 burns after being ignited by the ignition charge 13.
- the high-pressure chamber 21 is connected via a plurality of overflow openings 22, which are optionally covered by a damming 23, with a low-pressure space 10 a forming the interior of the cartridge case 10, which is bounded by the walls of the cartridge case 10 and the bottom of the projectile 11.
- the cartridge 12 is provided on its upper side with an upwardly projecting thread 24, on which a corresponding internal thread 25 is screwed in at the rear of the projectile. In the region of the transition between the upper wall of the cartridge 12 and the thread 24, a predetermined breaking point 12d is provided.
- the cartridge ammunition described is fired, for example, from rapid-fire weapons as a training ammunition with high firing frequency.
- the individual cartridges are hereby magazined in a belt 31 indicated only, which surrounds the cartridges in the upper region of the cartridge case 10.
- the cartridge case. 10 has at its lower edge a slightly above the diameter of the projectile 11 radially projecting bottom flange 32, the bottom of which forms the bottom of the cartridge case.
- the bottom of the cartridge case one or more recesses 33 are provided according to the invention.
- the recesses are replaced by a in FIG. 2 shown, parallel to the peripheral edge of the bottom flange 32 groove 33a is formed, which is arranged at a small distance from the peripheral edge.
- the material thickness of the bottom flange 32 is reduced there and increases the flexural elasticity of the bottom flange.
- the edge of the bottom flange can then be bent in the Entgurten the cartridge ammunition by the retaining claws of the lock of the rapid-fire weapon "down", whereby the width of the groove is reduced at the bottom of the cartridge case.
- the recesses are designed as a single blind holes 33b, which, similar to the groove 33a, are located in a circle parallel to the edge of Boderiflansches at a small distance from each other.
- the blind holes are in turn dimensioned so that they allow a greater deflection of the bottom flange at the edge.
- FIG. 4 Another way to increase the bending elasticity of the bottom flange 32 is in FIG. 4 shown.
- the outer edge of the bottom flange 32 with recesses 33d Mistake.
- These recesses 33d are formed as grooves or the like facing from the circumference of the bottom flange 32 toward the center thereof, which are located at a small distance from each other.

Description

- In
