Definitions
- the invention relates to a security element, in particular a security label, which allows a proof of tampering.
- the present invention relates to security labels which have an optically active structure which is invisible in the intact state and which becomes recognizable only after a manipulation attempt.
- WO 01/93231 is a security label that has two microstructures, one of which is a diffractive structure, also recognizable in an unmanipulated state, and the other a release-controlling structure. In a manipulation attempt, at least parts of a reflective layer are peeled off, whereby a new visually recognizable information becomes visible.
- FR-A-2 867 590 discloses a method for protecting an object, wherein a protective film consisting of several layers is applied to at least part of the surface.
- the first layer consists of the source forming the finished pattern, the pattern being unreadable in this state.
- a so-called decoding layer is applied to this layer, which appears transparent and makes the pattern recognizable.
- the decoding layer is detached from the layer forming the pattern source, the pattern is no longer recognizable.
- EP-A-0 401 466 discloses a composite layer with a diffraction structure embedded between two layers of lacquer which has an optically clear stabilizing layer over the first lacquer layer.
- the stabilization layer serves to evenly distribute the heat when the layer composite is adhered.
- Stamps or labels can be punched out of the laminate, which are then applied to an object for securing purposes.
- WO 03/066344 A describes a security device that includes a first layer and a second layer.
- the first layer has hidden features
- the second layer has decoding optical elements and is adapted to be moved from one position to another on the first layer, the hidden features becoming recognizable only in one of the positions.
- Transfer applications are also described.
- the object of the present invention was to provide a security element, in particular a security label, which permits a proof of tampering, wherein the security feature is recognizable only during manipulation and can not be recognized in a non-manipulated state.
- the security element should have a smooth, non-sticky surface on both surfaces in a manipulated state.
- an adhesion promoter layer can be situated between the layers a) and b).
- Optically active structures are understood here to be, in particular, diffraction-optically active structures, such as holograms, surface reliefs, diffraction structures, diffraction gratings, kinegrams and the like.
- a reflective layer is understood to mean in particular a metallic layer or a metallic appearing layer.
- a layer with optical features is understood here in particular to be a colored layer or a layer having luminescent, in particular fluorescent or phosphorescent properties.
- the optical properties of the layer can also be visualized by visible dyes or pigments, luminescent dyes or pigments which fluoresce or phosphoresce in the visible, in the UV region or in the IR region, effect pigments, such as liquid crystals, pearlescent, bronzes and / or multilayer color change pigments and heat-sensitive inks or pigments. These can be used in all possible combinations.

-
- a) ein Trägersubstrat
