- the operation of joining is performed at a region radially interposed between annular portion 17 of sealant 16, 16' and axis A so as to join cover portion 24 to portion 15b of surface 15 of top wall 11; in other words, the operation of joining is performed at a region of cover portion 24 which is inner compared to cut 28 with reference to axis A and pour opening 3.
- the cutting operation can be performed, for instance, by a cold or hot blade or by ultrasonic or laser devices.
- the welding and cutting operations are performed simultaneously by a ultrasonic device 29; it substantially comprises a substantially cylindrical tubular pressure member 30, provided with an annular work surface 31 cooperating with top wall of body 25 and an ultrasound generating unit (not shown); a backing member 32 cooperating with top wall 11 of cap 4 on the opposite side to pressure member 30, and guide means (not shown) for moving pressure member 30 to and from backing member 32 to obtain the desired compression force during ultrasound generation.
- the periphery of pressure member 30 may be fitted with an annular cutting member 33 which acts on cover portion 24 to make cut 28.
- An additional welding operation between cover portion 24 and top wall 11 of cap 4 may be also performed at a region radially interposed between weld 36 and axis A to produce a further annular weld 37, which allows to tighten security that cover portion 24 remains attached to cap 4 even after first unsealing of closure 1.
- the embodiment shown in figures 3 and 4 may also ensure sealing of closure 1 before first use even in the case that cap 4 is lacking in sealant 16, 16'; in this case, sealant 16, 16' acts for guaranteeing resealing of closure 1 after first unsealing and a sort of "extra security".
- cover portion 24 defines a layer of gas- and/or light-barrier material of cap 4, i.e. a "liner”, as this layer is commonly referred to in the packaging of pourable food products.
- cut and weld operation could be also performed on a pouring spout lacking in a layer of gas- and/or light-barrier material and/or lacking in a cover portion closing pour opening 3; in this latter case, the cut and weld operation may produce a weld between the upper region of the neck portion and cap 4.
- First unsealing of the container is obtained in a single step by unscrewing cap 4 off pouring spout 2.
- cap 4 As cap 4 is turned about axis A anticlockwise in figures 1 and 3 , mating threads 9 and 10 simultaneously move cap 4 axially away from pouring spout 2 so as to break connecting means 14 and starting removal of cover portion 24 from pour opening 3; as a result of this turning action, tamperproof ring 12 is retained resting axially against the bottom portion of thread 10 of neck portion 6 and cap 4 and cover portion 24 are completely detached from pouring spout 2 so freeing pour opening 3; by virtue of weld 27 or welds 36 and 37, cover portion 24 remains joined to cap 4 as opposed to being discarded.
- the container can be closed again by simply fitting cap 4 back onto pouring spout 2.
- the resealing of closure 1 is ensured by cooperation of annular portion 17 of sealant 16, 16' with upper edge 18 of neck portion 6 under the pressure exerted by cap 4 on pouring spout 2 in the closed-again position.
- closure 1 The advantages of closure 1 and the method of producing thereof will be clear from the foregoing description.
- cover portion 24 is simply welded to top wall 11 of cap 4 in order to be then removed from the spout during the first unsealing of the container, instead of being first removed at the end of the forming process of the pouring spout and then replaced by an additional costly gas- and/or light-barrier member welded to the spout and which needs to be removed again at the first use.
- closure 1 can be achieved by the user through a single-step operation, i.e. by simply unscrewing cap 4 off pouring spout 2.
- cut 28, 35 extends at least all through cover portion 24, the removal of such portion from pouring spout 2 during first unsealing of closure 1 requires a really low torque effort by the user on cap 4.
- closure 1 and to the method as described and illustrated herein without, however, departing from the scope as defined in the accompanying claims.

Claims (22)
- Obturateur (1) pour un conteneur scellé d'un produit alimentaire fluide, ledit obturateur (1) comprenant :un bec verseur (2) comportant au moins une couche de matériau formant barrière au gaz et/ou à la lumière et comprenant lui même une partie de col (6) destinée à définir une ouverture de versement (3) et une partie de barrière obturant l'ouverture de versement (3) du côté de ladite partie de col (6) opposée au côté faisant face, en utilisation, au conteneur ; etune capsule (4) pouvant être assemblée sur le bec verseur (2) et retirée de ce dernier ;ladite partie de barrière comportant une entaille (28, 35) au niveau de sa périphérie et étant reliée à une paroi supérieure (11) de la capsule (4) superposée sur la partie de barrière ;caractérisé en ce que ladite entaille (28, 35) est une entaille traversante formant une partie de couvercle (24) qui définit une couche formant barrière au gaz et/ou à la lumière de la capsule (4) et peut être retirée ensemble avec ladite capsule (4) du bec verseur (2) lors de la première ouverture de l'obturateur (1) ; et en ce qu'un joint d'étanchéité (16, 16') est agencé sur une zone donnée de la paroi supérieure (11) de la capsule (4) afin de coopérer avec une zone (18) du bec verseur (2) autour de la partie de couvercle (24) de manière à assurer l'étanchéité de l'obturateur (1).
- Obturateur selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le joint d'étanchéité (16, 16') comprend au moins une partie annulaire (17) appliquée sur la périphérie de la paroi supérieure (11) de la capsule (4).
- Obturateur selon la revendication 2, dans lequel le joint d'étanchéité (16') comprend une partie centrale (21), qui est concentrique et interne par rapport à la partie annulaire (17), et un certain nombre d'éléments de jonction (22) reliant lesdites parties annulaire et centrale (17, 21).
- Obturateur selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel ladite entaille (35) est interposée entre la partie annulaire (17) du joint d'étanchéité (16, 16') et un axe (A) de ladite partie annulaire (17).
- Obturateur selon la revendication 4, dans lequel ladite entaille (35) s'étend partiellement à travers la paroi supérieure (11) de la capsule (4).
- Obturateur selon la revendication 4 ou 5, dans lequel le joint entre la partie de couvercle (24) et la paroi supérieure (11) de la capsule (4) est situé autour de l'entaille (35).
- Obturateur selon l'une quelconque des revendications 4 à 6, dans lequel la partie de couvercle (24) et la paroi supérieure (11) de la capsule (4) sont reliées au niveau d'une autre zone (37) interposée entre ladite entaille (35) et l'axe (A) de la partie annulaire (17).
- Obturateur selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, dans lequel ladite entaille (28) s'étend contre ladite partie annulaire (17) du joint d'étanchéité (16, 16').
- Obturateur selon la revendication 8, dans lequel le joint entre la partie de couvercle (24) et la paroi supérieure (11) de la capsule (4) est interposé entre la partie annulaire (17) du joint d'étanchéité (16, 16') et un axe (A) de ladite partie annulaire (17).
- Obturateur selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la partie de col (6) du bec verseur (2) comporte un filetage (10) destiné à s'assembler sur un filetage correspondant (9) de la capsule (4).
- Procédé de production d'un obturateur (1) pour un conteneur étanche d'un produit alimentaire fluide, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes de :formation d'un bec verseur (2) comportant au moins une couche de matériau formant barrière au gaz et/ou à la lumière et comprenant lui même une partie de col (6) destinée à définir une ouverture de versement (3) et une partie de barrière obturant l'ouverture de versement (3) du côté de ladite partie de col (6) opposée au côté faisant face, en utilisation, au conteneur ;formation d'une capsule (4) destinée à être assemblée sur le bec verseur (2) de manière amovible ;réalisation d'une entaille (28, 35) à la périphérie de la partie de barrière ;liaison de la partie de barrière à une paroi supérieure (11) de la capsule (4) superposée à la partie de barrière ;ledit procédé étant caractérisé en ce que ladite étape de réalisation d'une entaille comprend l'étape de réalisation d'une entaille traversante (28, 35) dans ladite partie de barrière, formant une partie de couvercle (24) qui définit une couche formant barrière au gaz et/ou à la lumière de la capsule (4) et peut être retirée, ensemble avec ladite capsule (4), du bec verseur (2) au cours de la première ouverture de l'obturateur (1) ; etd'application d'un joint d'étanchéité (16, 16') sur une zone déterminée de la paroi supérieure (11) de la capsule (4) afin de coopérer avec une zone (18) du bec verseur (2) autour de la partie de couvercle (24) de manière à assurer l'étanchéité de l'obturateur (1).
- Procédé selon la revendication 11, dans lequel ladite étape d'application d'un joint d'étanchéité (16, 16') est mise en oeuvre avant l'assemblage de ladite capsule (4) sur le bec verseur (2) ; et lesdites étapes de réalisation d'une entaille (28, 35) et de liaison sont mises en oeuvre après l'assemblage de ladite capsule (4) sur ledit bec verseur (2) et du côté de la partie de barrière opposée à la capsule (4).
- Procédé selon la revendication 11 ou 12, dans lequel le joint d'étanchéité (16, 16') comprend au moins une partie annulaire (17) appliquée sur la périphérie de la paroi supérieure (11) de la capsule (4).
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 11 à 13, dans lequel lesdites étapes de réalisation d'une entaille (28, 35) et de liaison sont mises en oeuvre simultanément.
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 11 à 14, dans lequel ladite étape de liaison est un résultat de ladite étape de réalisation d'une entaille (35) mise en oeuvre à l'état chaud de manière à produire une soudure (36) autour de la zone d'entaille.
- Procédé selon la revendication 15, dans lequel ladite étape de réalisation d'une entaille (35) à l'état chaud est mise en oeuvre dans une zone de ladite partie de barrière interposée entre la partie annulaire (17) du joint d'étanchéité (16, 16') et un axe (A) de ladite partie annulaire (17).
- Procédé selon la revendication 15 ou 16, dans lequel ladite étape de réalisation d'une entaille (35) à l'état chaud est réalisée entièrement à travers la partie de barrière et partiellement à travers la paroi supérieure (11) de la capsule (4).
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 15 à 17, dans lequel une étape supplémentaire de liaison entre la partie de couvercle (24) et la paroi supérieure (11) de la capsule (4) est mise en oeuvre au niveau d'une zone (37) interposée entre ladite soudure (36) et l'axe (A) de la partie annulaire (17).
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 11 à 14, dans lequel ladite entaille (28) s'étend contre ladite partie annulaire (17) du joint d'étanchéité (16, 16').
- Procédé selon la revendication 19, dans lequel ladite étape de liaison est mise en oeuvre dans une zone interposée entre la partie annulaire (17) du joint d'étanchéité (16, 16 ') et un axe (A) de ladite partie annulaire (17).
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 11 à 20, dans lequel ladite étape de liaison est une étape de soudage.
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 11 à 21, dans lequel ladite étape de formation du bec verseur (2) comprend l'étape de formation d'un filetage (10) sur ledit bec verseur (2) de manière à l'assembler sur un filetage correspondant (9) de la capsule (4).
