Definitions

  • the invention relates to a locking unit for a pivotable between an open position and a closed position window or door.
  • a locking unit is typically offered as an additional lock for retrofitting to a window or door leaf with an existing there operating unit.
  • a recalibration of the closed position detector is always carried out automatically whenever the evaluation device has detected an alarm ready state in a condition monitoring mode so that it can simultaneously serve as an attack detector in a subsequent attack monitoring operation of the locking unit.
  • no separate attack detector is required.
  • the aforementioned alarm ready state exists when the assigned burglar alarm system can be armed or already armed.
  • the detection of this alert state can be done by the evaluation of the locking unit itself, ie independent of corresponding control signals of the associated burglar alarm system.
  • the evaluation device can detect a current signal of the closed position detector as an immediate consequence and store it as an updated reference value in a corresponding memory device, so that it is available for the subsequent attack monitoring operation.
  • the evaluation device via a signal input (For example, via a connection cable or a radio receiver) receives a control signal from the burglar alarm system indicating the alarm ready state, so that the evaluation device detects in response to this control signal, a current signal of the closed position detector and stores as an updated reference value.
  • the evaluation device compares a respectively currently detected signal of the closed position detector regularly - for example, continuously or periodically - with a threshold value which differs from the previously stored updated reference value by a predetermined trigger value. If the deviation of the currently detected signal of the closed position detector from the stored updated reference value reaches or exceeds the said predetermined trigger value, the evaluation device generates an attack detection signal.
  • This attack detection signal can be used to trigger an audible or visual alarm signal, directly or only indirectly, namely according to a predetermined decision scheme of a control unit of an associated burglar alarm system.
  • the locking unit may for example have a signal output (for example a connection cable or a radio transmitter) which is connected to the evaluation device, wherein the attack detection signal generated by the evaluation device via the signal output to a control unit of a burglar alarm system, to an acoustic signal generator and / or to an optical Signal transmitter is transmitted.
  • the attack detection signal can also be used at the said control unit of a burglary alarm system to trigger a notification of a security service.
  • the locking unit itself an acoustic signal transmitter and / or a has optical signal transmitter, which is connected to the evaluation device, so that the signal generator outputs an audible or visual alarm signal due to the attack detection signal.
  • the evaluation device does not generate the said attack detection signal if the attack monitoring operation has been temporarily deactivated, for example if the evaluation device is again in condition monitoring mode due to a corresponding control signal of the control unit of the associated burglar alarm system.
  • An advantage of the locking unit according to the invention consists - as already mentioned - in that no separate attack detector is required in order to detect burglary attempts on the window or door can. Instead, this function is taken over by the already existing closed position detector. Due to the regular recalibration, the detection of burglary attempts can nevertheless be carried out with high sensitivity and correspondingly high reliability. During the condition monitoring operation, however, the three situations a) to c) mentioned at the beginning can nevertheless be distinguished.
  • said predetermined trigger value can be selected to be very low, ie the threshold value considered in the attack monitoring mode can be very close to that signal of the closed position detector which is to be expected in the fault-free attack monitoring mode.
  • the corresponding premature output of an audible or visual alarm signal can thus bring about a termination of the attempted break-in in many cases and prevent further damage to the window or door leaf.
  • the lateral movements which typically occur during prying open of a window or door wing can be detected with high sensitivity.
  • Another advantage of the explained regular recalibration of the closed position detector consists in an increased security against manipulation of the attack monitoring. This applies in particular to magnetically sensitive sensors as a closed position detector. With these, there is the danger that the sensor characteristic is disturbed by a magnetic field applied from the outside in such a way that a break-in attempt is no longer reliably detected. Due to the explained regular recalibration of the closed position detector such manipulation is considerably more difficult.
  • the evaluation unit of the locking unit is designed to autonomously determine the said alarm ready state, i. without a supplied externally control signal.
  • this can be done by the fact that the evaluation device determines during the condition monitoring operation on the basis of the signals of the locking position detector and the closing position detector that the bolt is in the locking position and the window or door is closed. Whether the latch is in the locking position, the evaluation can determine, for example, by comparing the signal of the bolt position detector with a predetermined threshold. In order to determine whether the window or door leaf is in the closed position, the evaluation device can also compare the current signal of the closed position detector with a suitable threshold value.
  • This threshold can be a permanently set threshold. In particular, this threshold may differ from the threshold typically considered during attack monitoring operation.
  • the locking unit may be formed without signal input, ie it does not necessarily receive control signals from a control unit of the associated burglar alarm system but communicates with this unidirectional, as in the aforementioned DE 102 08 451 A1 is described.
  • the evaluation - as already mentioned - the alarm ready state can be communicated by an alarm ready signal, which is the wired or wirelessly supplied to the locking unit via a signal input from a control unit of an associated burglar alarm system.
  • the illustrated trigger value for the threshold value comparison in the attack monitoring mode is preferably a predetermined absolute value.
  • the threshold value considered in the attack monitoring mode always differs by the same amount from the stored updated reference value, regardless of the level of the stored updated reference value.
  • the trip value may be +/- 10 mV.
  • said predetermined trip value may be a relative value, i. the trigger value is in a predetermined ratio to the level of the stored updated reference value (e.g., 3%).
  • the illustrated threshold comparison in the attack monitoring mode with respect to both a positive and negative deviation of the current closed position detector signal from the stored updated reference value is performed, i. it is monitored for a magnitude deviation from the stored updated reference value.
  • the closed position detector is designed as a Hall sensor, which cooperates with an associated permanent magnet.
  • the Hall sensor can be arranged on the window or door leaf, while the associated permanent magnet is provided on a stationary part of the window or the door, in particular on the window or door frame.
  • a Hall sensor is particularly well suited for the described regular recalibration to achieve a high responsiveness. Because of the explained regular recalibration, the Hall sensor does not have to completely leave the effective range of the assigned permanent magnet in order to achieve this To generate attack detection signal reliable, but it suffice slight relative movements.
  • the invention also relates to a method for monitoring a locking unit of the type explained.
  • Fig. 1 shows a locking unit according to the invention in the form of a window attachment lock in a typical arrangement of a window sash 11.
  • the locking unit has a housing 13, on whose upper side a lock cylinder 15 can be seen.
  • a single common housing may be provided to the housing 13 adjacent to a supplementary housing 17, wherein on the sash 11, a single common housing may be provided.
  • an actuator 19 for a locking bolt which is in the state according to Fig. 1 is in a locked position and is not visible.
  • a lock case 23 is fixed, which is adjacent to the housing 13 and while the actuator 19 is arranged opposite.
  • the lock case 23 serves to receive the front end of said locking bolt in its locking position.
  • Fig. 2 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of the locking unit according to Fig. 1 ,
  • a locking bolt 25 which is connected at one end to the actuating element 19 and the free end engages in a recess of the lock box 23.
  • this is secured by the lock cylinder 15.
  • the locking bolt 25 is released for movement into an unlocked position.
  • the locking unit further has an electronic evaluation device 29, which is connected to a radio transmitter 31 in order to be able to cause it to transmit state and detection signals to a - not shown - control unit of a burglar alarm system, as will be explained below.
  • the locking unit shown also has a closed position detector 33, by which it can be detected whether the window is properly closed, that is, whether the window sash 11 abuts against the window frame 21.
  • the closed position detector 33 is formed by a Hall sensor 35 which is connected to the evaluation and control device 29 and is disposed within the housing 13 on the side facing the lock case 23.
  • the Hall sensor 35 cooperates with a permanent magnet 37, which sits within the closing box 23 at a corresponding height on the housing 13 side facing.
  • a locking position detector 39 is provided within the housing 13, which has an electromechanical contact switch 41 which cooperates with a recess 43 on the locking bolt 25.
  • the locking position detector 39 detects on the basis of an engagement of the contact switch 41 in the recess 43, whether the locking bolt is in the unlocked position or - as shown in the figures - in the locked position.
  • the locking position detector 39 is also connected to the evaluation device 29.
  • the locking unit has an electric battery 45 for supplying the evaluation device 29, the radio transmitter 31, the closed position detector 33 and the locking position detector 39 with electrical energy.
  • Said closed position detector 33 also serves as an attack detector to detect intrusion attempts on the window sash 11, as will be explained below.
  • the evaluation device 29 operates essentially in a condition monitoring mode or in an attack monitoring mode. In the condition monitoring mode is monitored in which position the locking bolt 25 and the window sash 11 are located, and the evaluation device 29 generates a corresponding status signal which is transmitted via the radio transmitter 31 to said control unit of the associated burglar alarm system and stored there in an event memory and / / or is evaluated immediately.
  • the transmission of such a status signal can generally always take place when the evaluation device 29 has registered a change from a previously determined state. For example, if the Locking bolt 25 is located in the aforementioned unlocking position, this is detected by the evaluation device 29 based on a corresponding signal of the bolt position detector 39, and the evaluation device 29 generates a corresponding status signal, which is transmitted via the radio transmitter 31 to the control unit of the burglar alarm system. The same happens if the lock bolt 25 is moved during the condition monitoring operation in the locked position. If the evaluation device 29 determines that the window sash 11 is in the open position on the basis of the signal of the closed position detector 33, a corresponding status signal is likewise generated and output via the radio transmitter 31.
  • the evaluation device 29 proceeds analogously if, on the basis of the signal of the closed position detector 33, it can be established that the window sash 11 has been brought into the closed position.
  • the closed position of the window sash 11 can be determined by comparing the signal of the Hall sensor 35 with a permanently set threshold value.
  • the closed position detector 33 merely serves to basically determine whether the window sash 11 is opened or closed.
  • the evaluation device 29 does not transmit any change in state by a corresponding status signal to the control unit of the burglar alarm system, but only the state whether or not both the locking bolt 25 is in the locked position and the sash 11 in the Closed position ("alarm ready state", see below).
  • the evaluation device 29 determines on the basis of the aforementioned detector signals that the locking bolt 25 is in the locking position and the window sash 11 is in the closed position, then this is interpreted as an alarm ready state, and via the radio transmitter 31, a corresponding state signal is output.
  • the evaluation device 29 causes a recalibration of the closed position detector 33, and it switches to the attack monitoring operation. The recalibration is done by the evaluation device 29 storing the current signal of the closing position detector 33 as an updated reference value.
  • the evaluation device 29 may be assigned a suitable memory device (not shown in the figures).
  • the evaluation device 29 regularly compares the respective signal of the closed position detector 33 and the Hall sensor 35 with two threshold values that differ upwards or downwards from the previously stored updated reference value by a predetermined trigger value (eg 10 mV). If the deviation of the current signal of the closed position detector 33 from the stored updated reference value reaches or exceeds the predetermined trigger value in terms of amount, this is basically interpreted by the evaluation device 29 as an intrusion attempt. In other words, the evaluation device 29 assumes that the thus determined change in the signal of the closed position detector 33 is due to an inadmissible movement of the sash 11 (including the Hall sensor 35) relative to the window frame 21 (including the permanent magnet 37).
  • a predetermined trigger value eg 10 mV
  • the evaluation device 29 therefore generates an attack detection signal, which in turn is transmitted via the radio transmitter 31 to the said control unit of the burglary alarm system.
  • This attack detection signal does not necessarily cause the triggering of an audible or visual alarm signal in the control unit of the burglar alarm system. This is only the case if the burglar alarm system is armed.
  • the evaluation device 29 determines during the attack monitoring operation on the basis of the signal of the locking position detector 39 that the locking bolt 25 has been moved from the locking position to the unlocked position, the evaluation device 29 generates a corresponding status signal, which in turn is transmitted via the radio transmitter 31 to the control unit of the burglar alarm system , and the evaluation device 29 now switches back to the condition monitoring mode.
  • the control unit of the burglar alarm system decides in this case on the basis of the conditions registered in the event memory (burglar alarm system is armed or has already been deactivated by the authorized user), if an alarm signal is to be triggered on the basis of the received status signal.
  • the locking unit may also have a signal input (eg radio receiver) in order to receive control signals from the control unit of the burglar alarm system.
  • the evaluation device 29 can determine for itself whether an alarm signal should actually be triggered due to a generated attack detection signal or a detected change of state (latch 25 is moved into the unlocked position) (in particular if the control unit has indicated that the intruder alarm system is armed).
  • the evaluation device 29 does not necessarily switch in the presence of such a signal input in the attack monitoring operation when the evaluation device 29 has determined that the locking latch 25 is in the locked position and the sash 11 is closed. Instead, in this case, a recalibration the closed position detector 33 and / or a switch to the attack monitoring operation only then take place when the control unit has informed the evaluation device 29 that the burglar alarm system has been armed.
  • the recalibration of the closed position detector 33 at the beginning of each attack monitoring operation of the evaluation 29 ensures a particularly high sensitivity of the closed position detector 33, which can thus serve as an attack detector in the attack monitoring operation.
