Definitions

  • the invention relates to an armored vehicle, in particular an armored fire truck.
  • Armored vehicles such as tracked vehicles (tanks) are used militarily and are therefore designed for this use. If retired military vehicles are to be supplied for civilian use, it is necessary that the armored outer wall of the vehicle is at least extensively breached and removed at least in the area of the vehicle driver. This is done against the background that in case of misuse of such, then no longer under military supervision guided vehicle, such as during an amok ride, the driver can be killed for security by a final rescue mission.

In both cases, the consequence is that the engine control unit side no longer the necessary code for further operation of the vehicle can be read. The same applies to an attempted manipulation. Instead of connecting the above-described tripping members directly to the engine control unit, they may also be connected to a standstill actuating device arranged inside the vehicle.
