Definitions

  • the invention relates to a paint chamber, comprising two doctor strips, on each of which a doctor blade is arranged, wherein between the edges of the doctor blades an opening is formed, is transferred by the color from the ink chamber to a ink transfer roller, wherein the ink chamber further comprises a mechanism for closing the opening between the squeegee plates.
  • Ink wells are well known in the art and are used to apply ink from this inking chamber to a ink transfer roller, e.g. to apply an anilox roller of a printing machine.
  • a paint chamber usually forms a frame shape with two short opposite end shields and two long opposite side elements, wherein on the side elements each a doctor bar and each at this a doctor blade is arranged. If necessary.
  • a side member can directly form a doctor bar. In any case, that element is referred to as a doctor bar on which a doctor blade is arranged or attached.
  • the ink transfer roller is at the two respective edges of the two doctor plates under a bias, which forms a rotating ink roller by the rotation of the ink transfer roller on the doctor blade forming the doctor blade and ink color is transferred from the ink roller to the ink transfer roller.
  • the working doctor blade opposite (closing) doctor blade in this case essentially serves to seal the Opening a paint chamber with respect to the ink transfer roller with stationary ink transfer roller, that is, when the ink located in the ink chamber completely distributed in the ink chamber.
  • this sheet To operate this sheet is removed and the color can reach the ink transfer roller. If the color is to be changed, this sheet is reintroduced and closes the opening to the ink transfer roller again, so that the mistakeinschub can be removed with the color therein.
  • a disadvantage of the type described is that the ink which passes during normal operation of the doctor blades at a removal of the Farbischubs there remains and also color between mistakeinschub and ink chamber passes, so that both the removal after the outer area of the mistakeinschubs and the now inside of the ink chamber needs to be cleaned.
  • a disadvantage of this type of closure is that the chamber volume of the ink chamber is considerably reduced by the displacement of the doctor blade together with the doctor blade, so that especially in a completely or almost completely filled ink chamber there is a risk of overflow, which uncontrollably ink reaches the press , Furthermore, it is disadvantageous that prior to the removal of such a color chamber from a holder of a Printing unit must be ensured by the service staff that the ink chamber is sealed. Otherwise, the removal of ink accidentally occurs from the ink chamber.
  • a paint chamber comprising two doctor strips, on each of which a doctor blade is arranged, wherein between the edges of the doctor plates an opening is formed, is transferred by the color from the ink chamber to a ink transfer roller, wherein the ink chamber further comprises a mechanism for closing the Opening between the squeegee plates.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a paint chamber, the volume of which remains at least substantially constant when closing and thus makes it possible to perform a color change even when completely filled ink chamber.
  • the object of the invention is also to provide an improved ink chamber of the generic type, which makes it possible to perform a color change quickly and easily, without any remaining in the ink chamber ink quantities can drip into the press and at the same time the cleaning effort is minimized.
  • the object of the invention is also to provide a paint chamber, with which it is possible to perform a color change with minimal loss of color.
  • the object of the invention is also to provide a paint chamber, which has the properties mentioned and automatically closes when removing it from the printing unit and thus largely precludes incorrect operation.
  • This object is achieved in that with at least a portion of at least one wall limiting the inner volume of the ink chamber during the closing movement of at least one of the doctor plates a compensation movement to effect an increase in volume is feasible.
  • anilox roller is used in the following instead of the term ink transfer roller without loss of generality.
  • the invention is based on the essential core idea that, although a reduction in volume can take place due to the closing movement and the moving parts of the ink chamber, it is provided that this volume reduction counteract, in that at least a portion of a volume-limiting wall can be moved to effect an increase in volume.
  • This increase in volume may be upstream of the closing movement and the concomitant reduction in volume, or more preferably take place simultaneously with this.
  • This can be done by the fact that the mechanism causes the compensation movement simultaneously to effect the closing movement.
  • the increase in volume during the compensation movement it is provided to particularly preferably at least substantially compensate for a reduction in volume produced by the closing movement, and thus to keep the overall volume at least substantially constant.
  • this is understood to mean that the volume on closing does not decrease by more than 10%.
  • the opening which is formed in the ink chamber between the edges of the doctor plates, by a relative movement of the doctor plates to each other and / or further movement of at least a portion of a wall of the ink chamber can be closed so that, on the one hand, the inner volume of the ink chamber substantially remains constant and on the other hand, the pressure applied to the anilox roller in the interior of the ink chamber is doctored off the anilox roller and the scraped-off printing ink is transported into the ink chamber.
  • the moving wall is formed by a doctor bar and by the mechanics of this doctor bar, in particular which is arranged on a side member of the ink chamber or this directly forms, is drivable to a superimposed translational and rotational movement.
  • a lower region of the moving doctor bar can be moved toward the opposing doctor blade, wherein at the same time an upper region can be moved away from the opposing doctor blade.
  • the moving doctoring bar can be effectively translatable to the left and simultaneously rotatable clockwise and / or clockwise and simultaneously rotatable counterclockwise. Since only one part for carrying out the closing and compensating movement, namely the squeegee bar, or the side wall of the ink chamber, which carries the squeegee, is moved, the closing movement and the compensation movement are always exactly the same time.
  • the ink chamber is closed to the anilox roller immediately before removal or during removal of the ink chamber from the anilox roller completely and automatically to the anilox roller, so that no ink can escape from the ink chamber to the anilox roller out ,
  • the ink chamber can be arranged in the printing unit of a printing press in a stationary mount, from which it can be removed, wherein the opening between the doctor blade is automatically closed during removal by an operative connection between the mechanics of the ink chamber and the holder.
  • the mechanism can have an actuating element and at least one locking element coupled thereto, which can be brought into engagement with a holder.
  • the fixation of the ink chamber in a stationary support on a printing unit be solvable, so that the ink chamber can be removed from the holder, which is simultaneously caused by the same mechanism that close.
  • the two squeegee plates can be moved relative to one another, wherein either both squeegee plates can be moved simultaneously or else a squeegee plate is fixed and the other squeegee plate is movable relative thereto.
  • the two edges of the squeegee are moved toward each other so that upon relative movement, first the opening between the edges of the squeegee decreases until this opening is completely closed when
  • at least one of the doctor plates is guided with its front edge over the surface of the anilox roller and thereby the ink is doctored from the surface of the anilox roller and transported into the ink chamber.
  • This can be the opening between the edges of the doctor plates preferably be closed by the aforementioned rotational and translational movement of at least one doctor blade.
  • the ink chamber is fixed in a holder so that the opening formed by the doctor plates tightly against the anilox roller and the ink can be transferred from the ink chamber to the anilox roller.
  • said movements can be carried out by means of a mechanism arranged on / in the ink chamber, by which the ink chamber is closed in the manner mentioned to the anilox roller, in particular at the same time the fixing of the ink chamber is dissolved and the ink chamber from said holder and thus removed from its working position.
  • the leading edge of at least one of the doctor blade is moved to the front edge of the opposite doctor blade and the doctor blade edges touch or overlap each other, so that the ink chamber is thereby closed.
  • At least one doctor blade is rotatable about an axis of rotation extending in the longitudinal direction of the ink chamber, this axis of rotation being spaced from an edge of a doctor blade.
  • this circular path can be formed by appropriate selection of the position of the axis of rotation such that the Opening between the edges of the doctor blade facing the ink roller initially reduced until it is completely closed when touch the doctor blade.
  • the axis of rotation itself can be translatable, resulting in the superposition of the movements.
  • the movable side wall itself with an opposite movement about the same or a further axis of rotation so to move, so that the volume of the upper portion of the ink chamber increased by about the same amount and thus the inner volume of the ink chamber remains substantially constant.
  • rotatable form both doctor strips about a respective axis of rotation, so that the two edges of both doctor plates simultaneously move towards each other.
  • at least one of the side walls is provided at the same time, as described, for a further rotation axis to execute a complementary movement, so that the internal volume of the ink chamber remains at least substantially constant.
  • An example of a particularly simple construction of a color chamber according to the invention for facilitating a translatory movement for example a movably arranged doctor blade against a stationary blade results, for example, in that a paint chamber has two end side shields, between which the respective doctor blades are arranged with the doctor blades on mutually parallel side walls, wherein the first squeegee blade attached to a first squeegee bar is fixedly connected to a side wall and the second squeegee plate attached to a second squeegee bar is secured to a second side wall such that the second squeegee bar of the second side wall is slidable in a holder.
  • the side wall has an axis of rotation whereby upon movement of the doctor bar in the holder, the edge of the side wall opposite the doctor bar makes such a rotational movement that it is substantially opposite to the movement of the leading edge of the doctor bar, whereby the internal volume of the ink chamber substantially remains constant.
  • a paint chamber essentially results in the manner of a frame-shaped element, the two doctoring strips forming two substantially parallel longitudinal frame elements and the two side shields forming two short frame elements.
  • a guide mechanism is designed in a particularly simple and robust construction such that the displaceable side wall in the region of the doctor bar and in the region of the top edge of the side wall at a distance from the doctor bar at least one at each end facing the end shields Guiding pin which rests in each case in at least one guide slot, which forms a cam, which is formed in each case in a front side shield.
  • Guiding pin which rests in each case in at least one guide slot, which forms a cam, which is formed in each case in a front side shield.
  • at the respective end of the movable doctor bar and the opposite upper edge of the side wall not only a guide pin, but two or more guide pins are provided to prevent the squeegee in a translational movement to twisted the guide pin.
  • the guide slots may further be provided that by the course of the guide slots within the respective Front side shield of the translation path and the rotation path of the sliding side wall is defined.
  • the guide slots has a course deviating from a straight and / or circular course, in particular each represents a curved curve, which, for example, on the one hand simulates the course of the lateral surface curvature of the ink transfer roller and on the other hand, a constant internal volume ensures the color chamber.
  • the guide slots can be formed in the end shields such that upon displacement of the movable doctor bar either the edge of the shifted doctor blade exactly on the edge of the fixed doctor blade sets up or in a more preferred embodiment, the edge of a doctor blade, in particular the shifted doctor blade on the surface of the other doctor blade, in particular the fixed doctor blade, hangs up.
  • a particularly good tightness of the ink chamber is achieved because the end face of the edge of the displaceable doctor blade can be pressed with a sufficiently large force on the surface of the other doctor blade.
  • two spaced articulation points on a movable doctor bar / side wall with two stationary pivot points on the ink chamber are each hinged by an arm, the articulation points on the doctor bar another, especially small distance from each other have as the articulation points at the paint chamber and in particular wherein the arms have different lengths, in particular wherein the arm, which is closer to the doctor blade, is shorter than the other arm.
  • it may further be provided to color-seal the doctor blades to the front side end shields of the ink chamber arranged as soon as the ink chamber is also closed at the front end to the ink roller to prevent leakage of ink from the ink chamber between the side plate and blade plate.
  • a corresponding sealing device may be arranged on each end-face element, e.g. in the form of a closing element, which seals the ink chamber at the end against leaking paint, which must have a sealing effect, in particular immediately before and after removing the ink chamber from the holder, for example, that in the end face of the ink chamber in the region of the front edges of the doctor blades in each case a flexible material is introduced as the closing element, which is pressed for example by means of a respective device immediately before removing the ink chamber from the holder to the respective edges of the doctor bar, in particular by deformation and / or displacement of the material.

  • the ink chamber 3 in this case comprises a fixed to a side wall 14 fixed doctor blade 11 and an opposite movable side wall 16 with a doctor blade 10 attached thereto.
  • this side wall also forms a doctor bar in accordance with the invention.
  • the side wall 16 is in turn attached to a mechanism 40, with which it is possible, the side wall 16 with the doctor blade 10 to move so that on the one hand, the leading edge of the doctor blade 10 performs a substantially linear movement and thereby slides over the surface 1a of the anilox roller 1 and these scrapers and on the other hand, the side wall 16 with the doctor blade 10 performs a tilting or rotational movement.
  • the inner volume of the ink chamber according to the invention remains substantially constant.
  • the inner volume 3a of the ink chamber 3 can be divided, for example, into an upper portion 3b and a lower portion 3c.
  • the lower volume 3c is reduced by a certain amount due to the substantially linear displacement of the side wall 16 and the doctor blade 10.
  • the upper volume 3b is simultaneously increased by a proportion, preferably the at least substantially equal proportion, by an appropriate choice of the tilt or a corresponding axis of rotation, so that the inner total volume 3a of the ink chamber 3 remains at least substantially constant and also at one in their Working position completely filled ink chamber when closing the ink chamber no ink emerges uncontrolled.
