Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Injektor insbesondere zum Einspritzen von Kraftstoff in einen Brennraum einer Brennkraftmaschine mit einem in einem Ventilgehäuse längsverschiebbaren Ventilelement und einer zwischen Ventilgehäuse und Ventilelement ausgebildeten ringförmigen Druckkammer mit einem darin zwischen Ventilgehäuse und Ventilelement angeordneten Dichtelement, wobei das Dichtelement einen Dichtring und einen zugeordneten Stützring (30) aufweist und der Dichtring eine radial innen liegende Dichtfläche und eine radial außen liegenden Dichtfläche aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stützring (30) zumindest eine Öffnung (31) aufweist, die von einem radial inneren und radial äußeren Randbereich (30A, 30B) des Stützrings (30) beabstandet ist (Figur 5a).

Description

    Stand der Technik
  • Die Erfindung betrifft einen Injektor insbesondere zum Einspritzen von Kraftstoff in einen Brennraum einer Brennkraftmaschine nach der im Oberbegriff des Patentanspruches 1 näher definierten Art.
  • Solch ein Injektor ist z. B. aus der DE 102 20 457 A1 bekannt. Der darin offenbarte Injektor weist eine Druckkammer auf, welche zwischen einem Hochdruckbereich und einem Niederdruckbereich mittels eines Dichtelements abgedichtet ist. Das Dichtelement ist dabei zwischen zwei ringförmigen Wandungen der Druckkammer und einem Druckkammerboden aufgenommen und ringförmig ausgebildet. Das Dichtelement ist als massiver einteiliger metallischer Dichtring ausgebildet, welcher mittels eines Presssitzes an der inneren ringförmigen Wandung aufgenommen ist.
  • Des Weiteren ist aus der DE 10 2004 015 133 A1 ein Injektor bekannt, welcher ein Dichtelement aufweist, welches als Dichtring mit einem Stützring ausgebildet ist. Der schubweiche Dichtring ist aus einer Mischung aus Polytetraflourethylen (PTFE) und Bronzepulver hergestellt, so dass eine Extrusion mittels des Stützringes verhindert werden soll. Auch soll der Stützring verhindern, dass zwischen Dichtring und Stützring ein Hochdruckaufbau stattfindet, damit ein Hochwandern des Dichtrings vermieden wird. Dazu weist der Stützring am Rand sichelförmige Ausschnitte und Entlastungsnuten auf.
  • Dadurch kann es jedoch im Betrieb des Injektors zu plastischen Verformungen des Stützrings in Folge einer Hochdruckbelastung kommen, so dass der effektive Querschnitt der Aussparung nicht definiert und sehr toleranzbehaftet ist.
  • Vorteile der Erfindung
  • Die Erfindung sieht einen Injektor insbesondere zum Einspritzen von Kraftstoff in einen Brennraum einer Brennkraftmaschine vor, mit einem in einem Ventilgehäuse längsverschiebbaren Ventilelement und einer zwischen Ventilgehäuse und Ventilelement ausgebildeten ringförmigen Druckkammer mit einem darin zwischen Ventilgehäuse und Ventilelement angeordneten Dichtelement, wobei das Dichtelement einen Dichtring und einen zugeordneten Stützring aufweist und der Dichtring eine radial innen liegende Dichtfläche und eine radial außen liegenden Dichtfläche aufweist, und wobei erfindungsgemäß der Stützring zumindest eine Öffnung aufweist, die von einem radial inneren und radial äußeren Randbereich des Stützrings beabstandet ist.
  • Der erfindungsgemäße Injektor weist den Vorteil auf, dass bei der vorgeschlagenen Ausbildung des Dichtelements die durch die wenigstens eine Öffnung festgelegte Leckagequerschnittsfläche klar definiert ist und sich nicht durch eine Verformung des Stützrings verändern und undefiniert werden kann. Dadurch sind auch die Toleranzen der effektiven Öffnungsquerschnitte definiert und können so leichter gehandhabt werden.
  • Durch die definierte Ausbildung der Öffnungsquerschnitte im Stützring ist weiterhin die Extrusionsgefahr des Dichtelements reduziert.
  • Des Weiteren wird der Einfluss einer Mikrobewegung zwischen verschiedenen Elementen des Injektors auf die Leckageflächen reduziert, da die Leckageflächen radial im inneren Bereich des Stützringes liegen und nicht an seinem Randbereich.
  • Weiterhin ist es besonders vorteilhaft, wenn die wenigstens eine Öffnung im radial mittleren Bereich des Stützrings angeordnet ist, da sich dann die Öffnung und die sie umgebende Dichtfläche auf der primären Druckkraftlinie befindet, die auf den Dichtring wirkt. Dadurch wird die Bedeutung der radialen Anpressdrücke für die Dichtwirkung nahezu aufgehoben. Im Falle von Dichtringen mit radialer Formabweichung oder auch geringfügigen Beschädigungen kann der in den radialen Spalt eindringende Kraftstoff nicht mehr die Schubbelastung im Dichtringmaterial steigern und somit die Extrusionsgefahr erhöhen.
  • Weitere Vorteile und vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen des Gegenstandes nach der Erfindung sind der Beschreibung, der Zeichnung und den Patentansprüchen entnehmbar.

  • In der Zeichnung ist ein bevorzugtes Aüsführungsbeispiel einer erfindungsgemäß ausgebildeten Kraftstoffhochdruckvorrichtung und die Wirkungsweise eines Dichtelements schematisch vereinfacht dargestellt, welche in der nachfolgenden Beschreibung näher erläutert werden. Es zeigt

    Beschreibung des Ausführungsbeispiels
  • Die Figur 1 und auch die Figur 2 zeigen jeweils einen Ausschnitt eines Injektors 1 zum Einspritzen von Kraftstoff in einen Brennraum einer Brennkraftmaschine, insbesondere für Kraftstoffeinspritzanlagen der Common-Rail-Bauart für Kraftfahrzeuge.
  • Innerhalb eines Gehäuses 2 des Injektors 1 ist eine Druckkammer 3 ausgebildet, die ringförmig um ein als Einsatzteil ausgebildetes Ventilelement 4 angeordnet ist. Die Druckkammer 3 wird gebildet durch zwei radial beabstandete Ringwände 3A, 3B und einen Druckkammerboden 8. Dabei wird die radial innen liegende Ringwand 3A durch das Ventilelement 4 gebildet und die radial außen liegende Ringwand 3B durch das Gehäuse 2. Die Druckkammer 3 steht mittels einer Bohrung 5 mit einem Hochdruckeinlass 6 einer Hochdruckquelle in Fluidverbindung.
  • Am Umfang des Ventilelements 4 ist innerhalb der Druckkammer 3 an deren brennraumseitigem Ende ein ringförmiges Dichtelement 7 angeordnet, welches durch den in der Druckkammer 3 herrschenden Hochdruck auf den Druckkammerboden 8 und gegen die radialen Seitenwände 3A, 3B der Druckkammer 3 gepresst wird.
  • Die Wirkungsweise und konstruktive Gestaltung der weiteren Elemente des Injektors 1 können von herkömmlicher Art sein wie in der DE 102 20 457 A1 und der DE 196 19 523 A1 beschrieben.
  • Zur Verdeutlichung der Vorteile der erfindungsgemäßen Ausgestaltung des Dichtelements 7 zeigen die Figuren 3 und 4 die Dichtelementwirkungsweise anhand eines Dichtelementes 10 bekannter Bauart.
  • Das Dichtelement 10 ist zweiteilig ausgebildet und besteht aus einem schubweichen Dichtring 11 aus PTFE und Bronzepulver sowie einem darunter angeordneten Stützring 12 aus Stahlblech. Die Aufgabe des Stützrings 12 ist es, eine Materialextrusion des Dichtrings 11 und einen Hochdruckaufbau zwischen Dichtring 11 und Stützring 12 zu verhindern, um ein dadurch mögliches Hochwandern des Dichtrings 11 zu vermeiden.
  • Die Dichtwirkung des Dichtrings 11 erfolgt durch radiale Anpressung des Dichtmaterials an das Ventilelement 4 und die radiale Wandung der Druckkammer 3, wobei der Anpressdruck stets mindestens so groß sein muss, wie der Hochdruck, um ein Eindringen des Druckmediums in den Dichtungsbereich zu verhindern.
  • Der Dichtring 11 nach Figur 3 und 4 weist sichelförmige Ausstanzungen (nicht dargestellt) am radial äußeren Randbereich 13 des Stützrings 12 auf, um ein Hochwandern des Dichtrings 11 infolge einer Doppelabdichtung durch den Dichtring 11 und den Stützring 12 und eines Druckaufbaus zwischen diesen zu vermeiden. Die sichelförmige Leckagestelle eröffnet eine Abflussmöglichkeit in einem Spalt zum Rücklauf bzw. Niederdruckbereich, wenn Druckmittel, wie in Figur 4 gezeigt, in einen Spalt 20 zwischen den Dichtring 11 und die radial äußere Wandung 3B der Druckkammer 3 eindringt.
  • In den Figuren 3 und 4 ist die Druck- bzw. Schubbelastung auf den Dichtring 11 durch Pfeile gekennzeichnet.
  • In Figur 3 stellen die Pfeile 50 die axiale primäre Hochdruckbelastung dar, die aufgrund des Hochdrucks auf den Dichtring wirkt. Dadurch wird ein sekundärer radialer Anpressdruck 51 erzeugt, welcher den Dichtring 11 an die radial beabstandeten Ringflächen 3A, 3B der Druckkammer 3 drückt. Von unten wirkt ein axialer Gegendruck 52, welcher durch den Stützring 12 auf den Dichtring 11 übertragen wird.
  • In Figur 4 ist zu erkennen, wie ein Vordringen von Druckmittel, wie z. B. Kraftstoff, unter Hochdruck in den Dichtspalt 20 stattfindet und zu einer Verformung des Dichtrings 11 führt. Dadurch ergibt sich ein Bereich 53 mit erhöhter Schubbelastung im Dichtring 11.
  • Die Figuren 5a, 5b und 5c zeigen einen Stützring 30 des Dichtelements 7 des Injektors 1 der Figuren 1 und 2 in einer Aufsicht von oben, im Schnitt und in einer Aufsicht von unten. Der Stützring 30, welcher mit einem Dichtring gemäß Figur 3 kombiniert werden kann, weist mehrere axial verlaufende Öffnungen 31 auf, welche über den Umfang des Stützrings 30 verteilt sind. Die Öffnungen 31 können über den Umfang des Stützrings gleichmäßig verteilt sein, z. B. im 90°-Winkel, aber je nach Anwendungsfall auch ungleichmäßig verteilt sein.
  • Der Stützring 30 weist weiterhin in radialer Richtung ausgerichtete Nuten 32 auf, die an der Unterseite des Stützrings 30 einen Leckageweg für das Druckmittel in radialer Richtung nach innen hin zu einem Spalt 54 bilden. Bevorzugt sind die Nuten 32 durch einen Umformprozess wie Pressen in den Stützring 30 eingebracht.
  • Alle Nuten 32 wiesen einen nach außen radial dichtenden Steg 55 auf, um Leckageströme zwischen Ringfläche 3B und äußerem Rand 30B sicher vermeiden.
  • Bei der gezeigten Ausführung sind vier Nuten 32 gleichmäßig, d. h. im 90°-Winkel zueinander, über den Umfang des Stützrings 30 verteilt. Jedoch kann je nach Anwendungsfall die Anzahl der Nuten 32 und deren Verteilung über den Umfang des Stützrings 30 variieren.
  • Gemäß Figur 5a und 5c kann eine Öffnung 31 relativ zu einer Nut 32 mit einem beliebigen Winkelversatz α angeordnet sein.
  • Bei der gezeigten Anordnung mit 0° Winkelversatz ist die Öffnung 31 vorzugsweise im Bereich der Nut 32 vorgesehen.
  • Die Öffnungen 31 können als runde Öffnungen, wie Bohrungen, ausgebildet sein. Vorzugsweise sind sie mit einem Öffnungsdurchmesser von ca. 0,1 mm bei einem Innendurchmesser des Stützrings 30 von ca. 8 mm und einem Außendurchmesser von ca. 10 mm ausgebildet.
  • Die Öffnungsquerschnitte können je nach Funktionsanforderung in Form, Lage und geometrischer Ausbildung variieren.
  • Erfindungsgemäß sind die Öffnungen vom radial inneren Rand 30A und vom radial äußeren Rand 30B des Stützrings 30 entfernt angeordnet, vorzugsweise in radialer Richtung der Ringfläche mittig des Stützrings, welche an ihrem inneren Rand in einen axial ausgerichteten Bundsteg 56 übergeht.
  • Durch die definierte Ausbildung der Öffnungen 31 wird eine Doppelabdichtung durch Dichtring und Stützring und somit ein Hochwandern des Dichtrings besonders effizient verhindert, wobei dabei die Anordnung der Leckageöffnungen im zentralen Bereich des Stützrings dahingehend vorteilhaft ist, dass eine mögliche Verformung des Stützrings 30 keinen Einfluss auf die Größe der Leckageöffnungen nehmen kann. Dadurch wird das Dichtelement 7 wesentlich weniger toleranzanfällig.

Claims (9)

  1. Injektor (1), insbesondere zum Einspritzen von Kraftstoff in einen Brennraum einer Brennkraftmaschine, mit einem in einem Ventilgehäuse (2) längsverschiebbaren Ventilelement (4) und einer zwischen Ventilgehäuse (2) und Ventilelement (4) ausgebildeten ringförmigen Druckkammer (3) mit einem darin zwischen Ventilgehäuse (2) und Ventilelement (4) angeordneten Dichtelement (7), wobei das Dichtelement (7) einen Dichtring und einen zugeordneten Stützring (30) aufweist und der Dichtring eine radial innen liegende Dichtfläche und eine radial außen liegenden Dichtfläche aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stützring (30) zumindest eine Öffnung (31) aufweist, die von einem radial inneren und radial äußeren Randbereich (30A, 30B) des Stützrings (30) beabstandet ist.
  2. Injektor nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stützring (30) weiterhin zumindest eine Nut (32) aufweist, die einen Leckageweg in radialer Richtung nach innen hin bildet.
  3. Injektor nach Anspruch 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass jede Nut (32) nach außen hin einen Steg (55) aufweist.
  4. Injektor nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass eine Mehrzahl von Öffnungen (31) über den Umfang des Stützrings (30) verteilt angeordnet sind.
  5. Injektor nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Öffnungen (31) über den Umfang gleich verteilt sind.
  6. Injektor nach Anspruch oder 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Öffnungen (31) bezüglich der wenigstens einen Nut (32) in einem Winkel (α) relativ zur Nutlage angeordnet sind.
  7. Injektor nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass jede Öffnung (31) mittig zur Nut, unter Winkellage 0° angeordnet ist.
  8. Injektor nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Öffnungen (31) etwa kreisförmige axiale Öffnungen, insbesondere Bohrungen oder Ausstanzungen, sind.
  9. Injektor nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Öffnungen (31) einen Durchmesser von wenigstens annähernd 0,1 mm aufweisen.
