Definitions

  • the invention relates to a water mattress, in particular for a waterbed, with a water-impermeable enclosure, with a device for changing the supporting force of the water mattress within the water-impermeable enclosure, which device is formed by a group of buoyancy bodies, wherein the buoyancy bodies are substantially rigid blocks whose Specific gravity is only slightly smaller than that of the water within the enclosure, and a method for producing such a water mattress.
  • buoyancy bodies in water mattresses has long been known, these buoyancy bodies being used as support or stiffening of the edge regions of the water mattress. Examples of such constructions are in US Pat. No. 3,864,768 or the US 5 172 438 A described. In the latter US patent two buoyant bodies are combined on the longitudinal sides of the water mattress with damping elements which are intended to dampen unwanted or too large water flows or water vibrations in the water mattress.
  • additional layers or layers of additives may be used inside the watertight covering. These may be nonwovens, foams od. Like. Be.
  • Means for changing the support force of the water mattress within its water-impermeable enclosure which are formed by a group of buoyancy bodies in the form of substantially rigid blocks whose specific gravity is only slightly smaller than that of the water within the enclosure, are in DE 103 06 039 A1 revealed.
  • the object of the present invention was a further improved water mattress with optimum comfort due to pressure-free lying with body-elastic support.
  • a water mattress according to the invention is characterized in that the specific weight of the buoyancy body is smaller, at least in the region of the longitudinal center of the water mattress, than in its upper or lower portion.
  • Such buoyancy bodies provide a constant, almost point-elastic supportive force and, in addition to optimum support in the central body region or in the manner of a lordosis support, has the advantage that the sheathing of the water mattress remains as tension-free as possible so that no pressure points are created on a body located on the water mattress can.
  • the buoyant bodies are distributed over the lying surface and held relative to each other in fixed positions, preferably in the form of a coherent mat.
  • an assisting force can be produced at each point of the lying surface, whereby a constant optimal distribution on the body of coordinated support forces is ensured by the relative positional fixation.
  • each individual buoyant body extends essentially over the width of the lying surface of the water mattress and is spaced from the buoyant bodies adjoining in the longitudinal direction of the lying surface by essentially straight connection areas.
  • the specific weight of the buoyancy bodies in the region of the longitudinal center of the water mattress is the lowest, and the specific weight of the buoyancy bodies in the upper portion of the water mattress between that in the region of the longitudinal center and that in the lower portion.
  • the even pressure distribution and also the gentle water vibrations, but to improve them by proper body support Feature of the invention provided that the buoyancy pressure at any point of the bed surface exceeds the value of 2,400 Pa.
  • the buoyancy bodies are made of cross-linked polypropylene for optimum durability and ease of manufacture.
  • the damping devices preferably comprise a plurality of individual damper elements, which are arranged side by side and interspersed by a plurality of passage channels.
  • the damping effect is particularly good in one embodiment of the damper elements, in which the passage channels over their longitudinal extent at least partially have a changing flow cross-section.
  • a manufacturing method is particularly advantageous in which according to the present invention, the contact pressure of the user's body is measured grid-shaped, then calculated on the basis of the measured data of the desired buoyancy certain areas of the measuring grid and then the one area the buoyancy of the water mattress assigned to the measuring grid is selected such that the desired buoyancy is achieved.
  • the desired buoyancy over the bed surface is different for each person, so that determines the optimum pressure distribution with the method according to the invention and thus the individually matching water mattress can be made.
  • the dimensions of the buoyant body are selected according to the desired buoyancy, since the dimensions of the buoyant body determine the acting buoyancy force.
  • an embodiment may be provided in which the specific weight of the buoyant body is selected according to the desired buoyancy.
  • Fig. 1 shows a water mattress according to the invention in a partially cutaway form, with a mat having a plurality of cube-shaped buoyancy bodies
  • Fig. 2 shows a further embodiment of a mat with buoyant bodies in side view
  • Fig. 3 is a plan view of a mat with buoyant bodies
  • Fig. 4 is a side view of a mat with buoyant bodies in combination with damper elements.
  • a water mattress according to the invention can, for example, the in Fig. 1 have shown basic structure.
  • a water-tight envelope 1 is water filled and has at least one device for changing the supporting force on the lying surface 2 of the water mattress within this water-impermeable enclosure 1.
  • preferably made of crosslinked polypropylene preferably cuboid buoyancy bodies 3 are provided, which are held by, for example, a foam mat 4 relative to each other and also within the enclosure 1 in position.
  • the substantially rigid blocks of the buoyancy bodies 3 have a specific gravity that is only slightly smaller than that of the water within the enclosure 1, so that they provide a constant, point-elastic support force, but not make the mattress hard or uncomfortable. Nevertheless, the wrapper 1 remains tension-free, without acting on the body of the user pressure points.
  • the buoyancy bodies 3 are preferably fastened to the foam mat 4, so that they form together with this a coherent mat that can be inserted as a common component in the enclosure 1 of the water mattress.
  • an assisting force is caused at each point of the mattress supported with this mat 3, 4, and by the relative positional fixation of the buoyancy body 3 through the mat 4, a consistent optimal distribution of different, matched to the body regions support forces can be ensured.
  • another mat 5 for example, also made of foam, provided and connected to the buoyancy bodies 3.
  • the cross section of the buoyancy bodies 3 in a direction normal to the lying surface 2 is preferably rectangular, especially square, which can be achieved together with the spacing of the buoyancy body 3 particularly advantageous perpendicular to each other connecting regions 6, 7, if the dimensions of the buoyancy body 3 in the plane the mat 4 the same and they are aligned the same. With simple production of mats in a unit size, these can then along the straight lines 6 preferably parallel to the longitudinal direction of the mat 3, 4 and the straight lines 7 preferably parallel to the transverse direction of the mat 3, 4 to the respective required size for the concrete water mattress cut.
  • Fig. 3 also different longitudinal areas of the mat 3, 4 are indicated, in which the specific weight of the buoyancy bodies 3 is different in order to effect a coordinated with the weight ratios of the body regions support.
  • the buoyancy force of the buoyancy bodies 3 is smaller at least in the region M of the longitudinal center of the water mattress than in the upper portion O, in which the upper body comes to rest, or the lower portion B for the legs.
  • the specific weight of the buoyant bodies 3 is lowest in the region of the longitudinal center M, and the specific weight of the buoyancy bodies 3 is in the upper one Section O of the water mattress between that in the region M of the longitudinal center and that in the lower section B.
  • the buoyancy pressure should exceed the value of 2400 Pa.
  • buoyancy bodies 3 are likewise essentially rigid blocks and are spaced apart from each other by connecting regions 7 running substantially straight and substantially transversely to the longitudinal direction of the lying surface 2 of the water mattress.
  • this mat can be made in one size, in each case in length and then cut to the desired longitudinal dimension.
  • the dimensions of all buoyancy bodies in the plane of the lying surface 2 are the same here, and in terms of width, a few standard dimensions can be prefabricated.
  • the different, over the width of the lying surface seen integral buoyancy body 3 according to the alternative embodiment described in the previous paragraph along the longitudinal direction of the lying surface 2 different buoyancy, preferably by different specific gravity to effect a matched to the weight ratios of the body longitudinal regions support ,
  • the buoyancy force of the buoyancy bodies 3 will be smaller, at least in the region M of the longitudinal center of the water mattress, than in their upper portion O, in which the upper body comes to rest, or the lower portion B for the legs.
  • manufacturing process is particularly advantageous in which in the course of a Liediagnosis the contact pressure of the user's body is computer-aided raster-shaped.
  • the desired buoyancy for specific regions of the measuring grid can then be calculated and then the buoyancy body of the water mattress assigned to a region of the measuring grid can be selected such that the desired buoyancy is achieved.
  • problem areas are taken into account individually, which can be specifically relieved by weaker support from the buoyancy body 3, possibly in conjunction with a something increased support effect in adjacent areas.
  • the dimensions of the buoyant body 3, which indeed determine the acting buoyancy force, are selected according to the desired buoyancy.
  • this will be the height of the buoyancy bodies 3 perpendicular to the lying surface 2, since the grid distribution within the lying surface 2 is preferably predetermined and the dimensions of the buoyancy bodies 3 in the plane of the mat 4 are the same.
  • their specific weight can be selected according to the desired buoyancy.
  • buoyancy body 3 and any second mat 5 may be provided on the underside of the buoyancy body 3, an arrangement of the water flow or water movements within the water-impermeable enclosure 1 damping devices.
  • damping devices consist of a plurality of individual damper elements 8, which are inserted between the possible lower mat 5 and another mat 9, for example also made of foam, juxtaposed and each damper element 8 penetrated by a plurality of passage channels.
  • the passage channels of these damper elements 8 are designed such that they have over their longitudinal extent an at least partially changing flow cross-section.
