Definitions
- the invention relates to a ventable bag, comprising a flat sheet of bag material, which is formed by overlapping their two opposite longitudinal edge regions to form a tube whose one end is closed or formed as a bottom, wherein the bag material is substantially impermeable to air, but in partial surfaces each of the overlapping longitudinal edge regions has perforation holes, wherein the perforation holes are offset in one longitudinal edge region opposite the perfusion holes in the other, overlapped longitudinal edge region, and the longitudinal edges of the overlapped longitudinal edge regions of the bag material web are fastened by means of a connecting seam to the respectively adjacent and overlapping layer of the bag material ,
- Vented bags are widely used for storage of bulk materials, for example, as sacks for cement and other powdery materials.
- a known method for filling powdery materials in bags is to transport the powder by means of a stream of compressed air into the bags and to close this after the introduction of the powder in the bag.
- the bags so filled in addition to the powdery contents also contain large amounts of air, which give the bags a balloon-like shape. This balloon-like shape prevents stacking of the filled sacks, since such a stack would inevitably slip.
- the stacking is essential for economical transport of the filled bags.
- Another problem of bags filled with bulk goods, in which undesired air is trapped is that the bag tends to burst when pressure is applied from the outside and the contents are thus lost.
- an air-permeable bag material is used in the simplest case according to the prior art.
- a per se airtight bag material can be provided with perforations to remove trapped air from the filled bag can.
- both solutions have the significant disadvantage that with the air flowing out through the perforations even small particles of the contents are entrained, the bag is so leaking for the contents. This is of course generally undesirable, but especially in those cases where chemically aggressive product or product is packed, which reacts chemically with water.
- 5-ply paper bags are known, which are produced so that first a paper web is needled, then the needled paper web is folded and glued to five bag bodies of different sizes, then the five bag bodies inserted into each other and glued together at least at their open edges ,
- the present invention provides a solution to the problems outlined, which involves both significant material savings and excellent auto-manufacturing in a few processing steps and high throughput.
- the invention is characterized by the development of a bag mentioned above in such a way that the perforation holes in the overlapped longitudinal edge region have a formation and / or arrangement for smaller air passage than the perforation holes in the overlapping longitudinal edge region by perforation holes in the overlapping longitudinal edge region with a larger cross-sectional area than those in the overlapped Longitudinal edge region are formed and / or in the overlapping longitudinal edge region per unit area a larger number of perforation holes is formed as in the overlapped longitudinal edge region.
- longitudinal edge region is to be understood as an area of the sack material web which can extend from the respective longitudinal edge of the web or close to it up to one third of the web width towards the web center.
- a plastic bag which has two overlapping longitudinal edges, which are fixed by longitudinal welds on the sack track, so that between the overlapped longitudinal edges of an air chamber is formed. Both longitudinal edges have a series of perforation holes, wherein the perforation holes are offset in one longitudinal edge opposite the perforation holes in the other longitudinal edge, so that a labyrinthine air passage is formed. The size or size of the perforation holes in both longitudinal edges are not defined.
- JP 2000 177 750 A discloses a household bag with a venting area designed to minimize the ingress of pests and dirt into the bag.
- a hose is formed from an airtight film, which has an overlap of the film edges in the longitudinal direction.
- the overlapping foils are connected in sections in two rows at intervals by welding, wherein the welds of the two rows are offset from each other.
- the films themselves have no perforation holes, but only one vent slot is formed between the film ends.
- a package comprising a sheet of synthetic resin having two opposite longitudinal edges and perforated portions near the longitudinal edges, the sheet being folded so that the perforated portions overlap and the opposite longitudinal edges of the folded sheet are welded to the sheet portions under which they lie. Between the overlapped portions of the web is a layer of material (eg paper) which is permeable to a sterilizing gas but impermeable to microbes.
- material eg paper
- GB 2 025 894 A discloses a sack with two overlapped perforated regions between which a microporous filter layer is located. Data on air passage conditions in the overlapped perforated areas or on an offset of the perforation holes are not found in this document.
- a generic packaging container having a degassing valve formed from a flexible outer layer multi-layered package with the individual layers fixed together except in the region of the degassing valve.
- the layers lie loosely on one another and form a longitudinally closed channel. This channel communicates with the interior of the container through a breakthrough in the inner layer.
- the breakthroughs in the inner layer should act as a filter against the contents in the bag.
- a flexible packaging container in the form of a bag or pouch of air-impermeable plastic film or the like. with an air outlet region in a bag wall, wherein the outer wall part is provided with perforations for an air passage from the filling space of the bag and the perforated bag material is covered on the inside by a perforated inner wall part.
- the air permeability of the inner wall part is higher than that of the outer wall part by appropriate design and configuration of the perforation.
- Inner wall part and outer wall part define an air chamber closed on all sides.
- the air chamber is inflated due to the different air permeabilities of the inner wall and outer wall with air during filling of the packaging container with air-laden filling material, which is pressed back into the filling space of the container and thus the perforations of the inner wall part inwardly cleans.
- the construction of this packaging container is thus contrary to the subject invention.
- the shape of the bag according to the invention is not restricted, but a so-called box-bag or a box-valve bag is often preferred for bulk materials.
- a bag material of the invention is preferably plastic film, plastic fabric or paper used.
- the connecting seam consists of an adhesive layer, a weld, an extrusion layer of thermoplastic material or a hot melt adhesive layer, all of which can be excellently applied automatically.
- the overlap of the longitudinal edge regions of the sack material accounts for up to 50% of the bag circumference, resulting in a material saving of at least 50% (compared to 2-layer sacks) compared to the sacks of the prior art.
- plastic webs and microporous plastic films have proven to be particularly suitable filter materials for the purpose according to the invention, wherein preferably plastic films are stretched films with mineral inclusions.
- the latter films are made of thermoplastic polymers, in which the mineral inclusions are embedded. When the film is stretched mono- or biaxially, the polymers, but not the mineral inclusions, expand and hair cracks are intentionally formed in the film, through which air can escape.
- the cutting step can be carried out before the perforation of the web, or even after the overlapping of the perforated regions, or even after the production of the connecting seams between the bag material edges and the material layer applied thereto.
- a filter material is introduced between the overlapped perforated regions of the bag material.
- the bag material provided is selected from plastic film, plastic fabric and paper.
- the joining of the longitudinal edges of the bag material with the respective overlapped position of the bag material adjacent thereto preferably comprises gluing, welding, extruding thermoplastic material or applying hot melt glue.
- Fig. 1A is a flat sheet 1 of a bag material for producing a bag according to the invention shown in plan view.
- the bag material is airtight or made airtight by treatment material, such as coated or uncoated paper, plastic film, or coated plastic fabric.
- the web 1 is already cut to the appropriate length and has opposite longitudinal edges 1a, 1b and a central longitudinal axis 1c.
- Part surfaces 1d, 1e which, viewed from the longitudinal edges 1b, 1a, can extend over a width of up to one third of the width of the sack material web 1, are entrained by a needling process, such as pulling the sack material web through the nip between two needle rollers Perforations have been provided, which allow the passage of air.
- a lower region 1f of the sack material web 1 is used in a later sack-making step for folding a bottom 10a of the sack according to the invention (see Fig. 1D ) needed.
- Fig. 1B Referring to this, it can be seen in cross-section how the longitudinal edge regions of the sack material web 1 have been overlapped over their entire length (ie, the direction of the longitudinal axis 1c) such that the perforated partial surfaces 1d, 1e come to lie one above the other.
- Fig. 1B Referring to this, it can be seen in cross-section how the longitudinal edge regions of the sack material web 1 have been overlapped over their entire length (ie, the direction of the longitudinal axis 1c) such that the perforated partial surfaces 1d, 1e come to lie one above the other.
- the perforation holes 1h are offset in the perforated surface 1e in relation to the perforation holes 1g in the perforated surface 1d, resulting in labyrinthine passages for escaping air through which the air can pass, but in which particles of contents are entrained caught.
- the perforation holes 1h are slightly larger than the perforation holes 1g, so that the overlapping portion 1e of the bag material transmits more air than the overlapped portion 1d.
- the region of the sack material web 1, in which two layers of material lie one above the other, has a width b1 which corresponds approximately to half the width of a front surface 10c of a sack 10 (cf. Fig. 1D ).
- the longitudinal edge 1a of the sack material web 1 is airtight by a connecting seam 2 with the underneath connected lying bag material situation.
- the longitudinal edge 1b of the bag material web 1 is connected by a connecting seam 3 with the overlying bag material layer, wherein this connecting seam 3 does not have to be airtight.
- the connecting seams 2, 3 may preferably be welds, extrusion layers of thermoplastic material or hotmelt adhesive layers.
- Fig. 1C and Fig. 1D show in cross-section or in perspective a box bag 10, which consists of the tube-connected bag material web 1 of Fig. 1B forming a bottom 10a (see Fig. 1D ) was folded. It can be seen that the overlapping area 10b, through which the venting of the bag 10 takes place, occupies approximately half the width and the entire length of the front surface 10c.
- FIGS. 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D show the production of another bag 20 according to the invention in various production steps, again assuming a flat web 1 of a sack material.
- This embodiment differs from the embodiment of FIG Figures 1A to 1D only in so far as the perforated partial surfaces 1i, 1j are made substantially wider, so that when the overlapping of these surfaces results in a width b2, which accounts for about 45% of the circumference of the bag 20.
- the overlapping area 20b occupies not only the entire front surface 20c of the bag 20 but also almost half of the side surfaces 20d. If necessary, as in Fig.
- said filter material 4 preferably comprises a plastic fleece or a stretched plastic film with mineral inclusions, were formed in the drawing process at the interface between plastic and the mineral inclusions hairline cracks ,
- FIGS. 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D show the production of another bag 40 according to the invention in various production steps, again assuming a flat web 1 of a bag material.
- This embodiment differs from the embodiment of FIG Figures 1A to 1D insofar as four perforated faces 1k, 1l, 1m, 1n are provided, which are designed substantially shorter than in the first embodiment, wherein the overlapping of these surfaces again takes place in a width b1, which corresponds to about half the width of the bag front surface ,
- Out Fig. 4D it can be seen that two overlapping areas 40f, 40g have thus been formed, which are separated from each other in the center of the front surface of the bag 40.
- FIGS. 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D show the production of another bag 50 according to the invention in various production steps, again assuming a flat web 1 of a sack material.
- This embodiment has four perforated partial surfaces 1o, 1p, 1r, 1s arranged parallel to one another, the partial surfaces 1o, 1p or 1r, 1s lying on the same side being at a distance of b3 from one another with respect to the longitudinal axis 1c.
- the overall overlapping takes place in FIG a width b2.
- the bag 50 has two overlapping areas 50h, 50j, each extending the full length of the front surface of the bag 50, each overlap area 50h, 50j extending over less than half the width of the front surface of the bag (such that there is a web 50i therebetween) Sack material is formed) and in addition over almost half of an adjacent narrow side 50k, 501 extends.
