Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de freinage ou d'arrêt d'une cabine d'ascenseur guidée dans une cage le long de rails de guidage verticaux (2). Pour permettre une construction simple de ce dispositif, l'organe de freinage est constitué par un rouleau (9) dont l'axe est perpendiculaire au sens longitudinal du rail de guidage (2) et dont la surface d'enveloppe est constituée en tant que surface de frottement (12). Ledit rouleau est logé de façon coulissante avec des épaulements en retrait (11) dans une fente (20) d'un corps de pression (19) s'étendant parallèlement au rail de guidage correspondant (2), la fente (20) présentant une rainure (21) dont l'écart par rapport au rail de guidage (2) diminue en direction d'au moins une extrémité. Ledit rouleau (9) est connecté à un organe de retenue définissant la position de repos inactive du rouleau, et précontraint contre le rail de guidage (2) par l'intermédiaire d'un ressort (28). Lorsque l'organe de retenue libère le rouleau (9), celui-ci est comprimé contre le rail de guidage (2) et roule contre ce dernier. Le rouleau roule jusqu'à l'extrémité de la rainure (21) et se bloque à ce niveau, de telle manière que le frottement provoque un freinage de la cabine d'ascenseur.
