Claims (15)

- A steam iron according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it includes heater means (128) located in said system for diffusing a stream of air.
- A steam iron according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it includes a control unit suitable for causing a stream of air to be diffused simultaneously with steam being produced.
- A steam iron according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it includes a control unit suitable for causing a stream of air to be diffused in alternation with steam being produced.
- A steam iron according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that it includes means (114, 116) for directing the stream of air via a spray (112) located at the front of the iron.
- A steam iron according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that it includes dispenser means (132) for directing the steam into a second dispenser chamber (126) having its own heater means (120) in order to give the steam the appropriate temperature for performing an additional function of moistening the ironing.
- A steam iron according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that it includes at least one additional tank (122, 122A, 122B) to deliver one or more ironing treatment liquids into the stream of air.
- The steam iron according to claim 9, characterized in that said at least one additional tank is located in said external steam-producer member.
- A steam iron according to claim 9, characterized in that it includes one or more pumps (118) for drawing the ironing-treatment liquid(s) from said at least one additional tank.
- A steam iron according to claim 9, characterized in that it includes one or more suction means (120) for drawing the ironing-treatment liquid(s) from said at least one additional tank.
- A steam iron according to claim 12, characterized by said section means including a diverging/converging portion.
- A steam iron according to any one of claims 1 to 13, characterized in that it includes means (108) for enabling a stream of air to be diffused in a handle of the iron in order to cool it.
- A steam iron according to any one of claims 1 to 14, characterized in that it includes means for enabling a stream of air to be diffused horizontally outside the iron in order to prevent the heat given off by the soleplate of the iron passing over the ironing from rising directly to the face of the user of said iron.
