Description

The present invention relates to a laundry drying machine comprising a steam generator.

In general, the invention relates to machines for drying clothes, and more particularly to machines for drying clothes for domestic use.

Une telle machine est divulguée dans le document EP 1666655 .There are known on the one hand front loading laundry machines which provide a direct steam introduction into a drum. The steam is introduced through a pipe connecting a steam generator to the drum directly. This pipe passes through a sheath connecting the drum to the body of the machine. The steam generator is usually supplied with water by a pump. Such a machine is disclosed in the document EP 1666655 .

However, these clothes drying machines have the disadvantage of separating the drive from one or more drying fans to the drum drive to allow the introduction of steam into said rotatably driven drum. The separation of the drive from a fan and the drum makes it possible to stop the circulation of drying air in the drum when steam is introduced into the drum. This stop of the ventilation of the dryer machine makes it possible to maintain smoothing performance of the laundry.

If these clothes drying machines do not have such a separation of the drive of a fan and the drum, they do not make it possible to straighten the laundry by the steam since it is directly sucked from the introduction of steam in the drum to ventilation openings allowing the passage of drying air. Therefore, the laundry items contained in the drum are not traversed by the steam resulting in low steaming performance.

The separation of the drive from one or more fans and the drum requires the use of a different drive motor for the fan (s) and the drum, or to associate a decoupling device of the fan (s) and the fan. drum during the steam introduction phase. Therefore, such clothes drying machines cause an additional cost to obtain them. Laundry drying machines with an additional motor also cause a higher noise level.

Moreover, introduction of direct steam into the drum presents a risk of burning for the user when the drum access door is opened as well as when a user's hand passes in front of a nozzle. discharging steam into the drum by a jet of steam exiting said nozzle. The steam generator continues to introduce steam into the drum after it has stopped and may burn the user's hands if the user opens the drum access door at this time. The steam generator has a certain heating inertia after stopping it and a quantity of residual water remains in said steam generator after stopping a freeze cycle causing the generation of steam introduced into the drum.

These clothes drying machines also have the disadvantage of causing water stains on the laundry items.

At the beginning of the steaming cycle of the laundry, condensation is caused in the steam introduction pipe in the drum because it is cold, or water from a previous steaming cycle can be introduced into the drum.

The laundry items can also be wetted by an excess of water introduced by a pump to a steam generator, particularly in case of drift or dispersion of water flow provided by the pump.

The laundry pieces can also be wetted due to a too low heating power of the steam generator or following a dispersion of the supply voltage.

The present invention aims to solve the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide a laundry drying machine to reduce the creasing of laundry at the lowest cost and without risk of safety for the user.

For this purpose, the present invention is directed to a laundry drying machine comprising a steam generator, a condenser, at least one air circuit, and a drum housed inside a body, said drum containing the washing machine. degrease, said air circuit comprising at least two pipes, at least a first pipe of the air circuit connecting the drum to the condenser, at least a second pipe connecting the condenser to the drum, said at least one second pipe comprising at least one heating element, and at least one fan being placed in one of said at least two pipes of the air circuit.

According to the invention, a steam introducing means opens into said at least one second pipe connecting the condenser to the drum, said steam introducing means being placed upstream of said at least one heating element, and said introducing means of steam being placed downstream of the condenser.

Thus, the dryer machine has a drive of the at least one fan and the simultaneous drum for all cycles implemented by said machine. Said at least one fan and the drum are driven together during the introduction of steam to ensure the smoothing performance of the clothes. The vapor may be mixed with heated air as it passes over the at least one heating element. In this way, the mixture of hot air and steam passes through the laundry items during the rotational drive by the drum.

Moreover, no risk of burning the user is possible since the steam is introduced into the drum by the ventilation generated through a pipe connecting a condenser to said drum. The steam generator is thus moved away from the drum and does not allow a flow of steam to said drum. In addition, the vapor is diffused into the air conveyed in the ventilation duct opening into the drum. A clothes drying machine does not present a risk of burning by a jet of steam introduced directly into the drum.

The position of the steam introduction means downstream of the condenser makes it possible to prevent the condensation of part of the steam in said condenser. Thus, the energy consumption for the steam generation and the straightening of the laundry is optimized.

According to a preferred feature of the invention, the steam introduction means opening into said at least one pipe connecting the condenser to the drum is placed in the vicinity of a condensate discharge circuit.

Thus, a possible flow of water at the outlet of the steam generator can not be poured on said at least one heating element. The water leaving the steam generator is discharged towards a condensate recovery tank. In this way, the dryer is protected against a possible short circuit related to a water spill on said at least one heating element.

The steam introduction means is connected to a vent pipe so as to allow a flow of water to flow into a condensate condensate collection tank.

The condensate evacuation circuit makes it possible to recover a surplus of water supplied to the steam generator where still residual condensas form in a pipe connecting the steam generator to the ventilation duct, in particular at the beginning of a generation cycle. of steam.

According to another preferred feature of the invention, said at least one heating element is used at half of its power during the introduction of steam into the drum.

Thus, the half-power preheating of said at least one heating element makes it possible to save energy and to limit the power of the machine to dry the laundry.

In addition, the operation of said at least one heating element to half of its power limits the temperature inside the drum for better preservation of laundry. In this way, overheating is not caused on the surface of the laundry placed inside the drum.

According to another preferred feature of the invention, said at least one heating element is used on a single part, said single part used of said at least one heating element being the upstream part.

L'utilisation de la partie amont dudit au moins un élément chauffant 6 permet d'éviter la condensation sur la totalité dudit au moins un élément chauffant 6.The use of the upstream portion of said at least one heating element 6 makes it possible to avoid condensation on the whole of said at least one heating element 6.

The operation of the upstream portion of said at least one element makes it possible to heat the air mixed with the steam, and then this air is introduced into the drum in order to improve the steaming performance of the laundry.

Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent in the description below.

We will first describe with reference to the figure 1 a dryer 1 equipped with a steam generator.

This dryer may be a household clothes dryer or a washer-dryer.

In this embodiment, an overhead loading machine has been illustrated. Of course, the present invention applies to all types of machine for drying clothes, including front loading.

This dryer 1 comprises a bodywork comprising an access opening inside the bodywork. In top loading machines, this access opening is made in an upper portion of the body, and in this example, in an upper plane of the body.

An access door is adapted to close this opening of the body of the machine 1, in particular during operation thereof.

Dans cet exemple de réalisation, et de manière nullement limitative, la porte d'accès est montée pivotante autour d'un axe de rotation solidaire de la carrosserie de la machine 1.In this embodiment, and in no way limiting, the access door is pivotally mounted about an axis of rotation integral with the body of the machine 1.

The body of the machine 1 is adapted to accommodate a drum 2 which is particularly suitable for drying laundry by a hot air circulation. The drum 2 is rotatable about an axis 3 during the different phases of the drying cycles of the machine.

Note that the figure is schematic and that many organs necessary for the operation of the machine have been omitted and do not need to be described in detail here.

To allow the introduction and removal of laundry inside the rotating drum 2, it comprises in a known manner a door. This access door, for example formed of two gates and pivotally mounted on the shell of the drum 2, allows to close an opening in said shell of said drum 2.

Un tableau de commande est également prévu en partie supérieure de la machine 1.A control panel is also provided in the upper part of the machine 1.

Only the specific means for the implementation of the method of unwinding the laundry according to the invention will be described below.

Of course, the dryer according to the invention comprises all the equipment and means necessary for the implementation of a conventional drying process in such a rotary drum machine.

The laundry dryer 1 comprises a steam generator 12 with a water supply by drip.

The diameter of the tube of the steam generator 12 is of the order of 8 mm.

On va décrire à présent une machine à sécher le linge adapté à mettre en oeuvre le procédé de défroissage du linge conforme à l'invention, en référence à la figure 1.We will now describe a drying machine adapted to implement the method of degreasing the laundry according to the invention, with reference to the figure 1 .

A first air circuit is commonly called hot air circuit 4 and a second air circuit called cold air circuit 5.

The hot air circuit 4 is in a closed loop and the air heated by at least one heating element 6. The heated air passes through the laundry contained in the drum 2 and the heated air is charged with the moisture contained by the laundry. During this phase, the air is cooled from a temperature of about 110 ° C to a temperature of about 70 ° C.

Puis, l'air est de nouveau chauffé par ledit au moins un élément chauffant 6.The heated and moist air passes through a filter 7 placed at a discharge outlet of the drum 2 to recover the lint contained in said heated and moist air. A fan 8 circulates the hot and humid air inside a condenser 9. The hot and humid air is cooled in tubes of the condenser 9 and the humidity of the air is condensed. The condenser 9 is cooled by heat exchange with ambient air. Then, the air is again heated by the at least one heating element 6.

The laundry dryer 1 may also be provided with a plate condenser 9 in place of a condenser 9 with tubes.

The cold air circuit 5 is in an open circuit where ambient air is sucked by a fan 10 at the rear of the dryer 1. The fan 10 propels the ambient air into the condenser 9 on the floor. outside the tubes of said condenser 9 in order to cool it. The ambient air heated in the condenser 9 is discharged into a room through a front face of the dryer 1.

A motor 11 allows the driving of the drum 2 for brewing the laundry with an alternating rotation to prevent the knotting of the laundry. Said motor 11 can also drive the two fans 8 and 10.

The air flow is greater in a positive direction relative to a reverse direction said negative. The air flow factor between the positive direction and the negative direction of the fans 8 and 10 is substantially of the order of 3.

The water recovered by the condenser 9 can be raised by a pump to a tank placed in the upper part of the machine 1, or recovered by gravity in a tray at the bottom of the machine 1 according to said dryer machine 1 .

The dryer 1 is also equipped with a steam generator 12 supplied with water by a pump from a tank. During the implementation of a laundry cycle, the steam produced by the steam generator 12 is injected into the hot air circuit 4 to moisten the laundry in order to straighten it.

The tank of the steam generator 12 can be filled by the user with mains water, condensate water or demineralised water.

The laundry cycle unwinds with a rotation of the drum 2 alternating to avoid the knotting of the laundry. The rotation of the drum 2 containing the laundry to be straightened makes it possible to stir the laundry and to create an exchange between the moist air and the steam and with the laundry.

On va décrire à présent le procédé de défroissage du linge conforme à l'invention, en référence à la figure 1.We will now describe the method of unwinding the laundry according to the invention, with reference to the figure 1 .

The load of laundry introduced into the drum 2 of the dryer 1 is mainly dried and creased at the start of the laundry cycle.

The method of straightening the laundry in a dryer 1 comprises a steam generator 12, a condenser 9 and a drum 2 housed inside a body.

Et ledit au moins un ventilateur 8 est relié audit tambour 2 par une conduite 15.Said drum 2 contains the laundry to be stripped and is connected to said condenser 9 by a pipe 13. Said condenser 9 is connected to at least one fan 8 by a pipe 14. And said at least one fan 8 is connected to said drum 2 by a pipe 15.

  • une première phase de préchauffage du générateur de vapeur 12;
  • une seconde phase de préchauffage du tambour 2 par au moins un élément chauffant 6 et une circulation d'air chaud générée par ledit au moins un ventilateur 8 ;
  • une troisième phase de génération de vapeur et de circulation de la vapeur du générateur de vapeur 12 au tambour 2 ;
The method of degreasing the laundry successively comprises the following steps:
  • a first preheating phase of the steam generator 12;
  • a second preheating phase of the drum 2 by at least one heating element 6 and a hot air flow generated by said at least one fan 8;
  • a third phase of steam generation and steam circulation of the steam generator 12 to the drum 2;
  • a fourth step of evacuating the steam from the drum 2 and cooling the laundry contained in said drum 2.

The filling of the tank of the steam generator 12 can be filled at any time with the method of unwinding the laundry according to the invention. This filling is possible thanks to the steam generator 12 supplied with water drip through an inlet opening. The steam generator 12 may be a closed heating tank at its lower part. The steam generator 12 includes an outlet opening for directing the generated steam to the hot air circuit 4 of the dryer 1.

The first phase of the laundry stripping process involves heating the steam generator 12 so that the water introduced into it falls on a heated surface and the water is vaporized instantly.

To allow the introduction of steam into the hot air circuit 4 of the clothes dryer 1, the structure of said machine, in particular the drum 2, must be sufficiently hot to prevent condensation of the steam on the machine. metal parts and / or cold and on said at least one heating element 6. Said at least one heating element 6 could be degraded by the presence of water. In particular in the case where said at least one heating element 6 is unshielded.

In addition, preventing the condensation of steam eliminates the possibility of observing water spots on the laundry.

Ledit au moins un élément chauffant 6 est utilisé à la moitié de sa puissance lors de la seconde phase de préchauffage du tambour 2.Said at least one heating element 6 is used at half of its power during the second preheating phase of the drum 2.

The operation of said at least one heating element 6 at half of its power makes it possible to limit a too rapid rise in temperature at the level of the laundry and thus to limit its creasing.

During a steaming cycle using the steam generation, said at least one heating element 6 can operate over a short period of time, which can last between two and ten minutes, depending on the parameters of the anti-crease cycle, such as the type of linen and its humidity.

The steam generation time during a wrinkle cycle can be of the order of 13 minutes.

La partie amont dudit au moins un élément chauffant 6 correspond à la première moitié inférieure dudit au moins un élément chauffant 6 illustré à la figure 1.Preferably, said at least one heating element 6 is used on a single part and in particular that placed in the upstream part in the hot air circuit 4. The use of the upstream part of said at least one heating element 6 makes it possible to avoid the condensation on all of said at least one heating element 6. The upstream portion of said at least one heating element 6 corresponds to the first lower half of said heating element. minus one heating element 6 illustrated in the figure 1 .

L'utilisation de la demi puissance dudit au moins un élément chauffant 6 permet d'économiser de l'énergie et de limiter la puissance de la machine 1.The use of the half power of said at least one heating element 6 saves energy and limits the power of the machine 1.

In addition, the operation of said at least one heating element to half of its power limits the temperature inside the drum for better preservation of laundry. In this way, overheating is not caused on the surface of the laundry placed inside the drum.

The drum 2 is rotated to stir the laundry and homogenize the introduction of steam into said drum 2 during the third steam generation and steam circulation phase of the steam generator 12 to said drum 2.

The hot air circuit 4 makes it possible to minimize steam condensation in order to optimize the consumption of water and the supply of thermal energy.

The hot air circuit 4 makes it possible to condense as little steam as possible, coming from the drum 2, in order to consume a minimum quantity of water and to limit the supply of thermal energy, and to reduce the noise of the machine to drying the laundry 1 of the order of 2dB.

The means used to reduce the efficiency of the condenser 9 is to reduce the flow of ambient air to limit the heat exchange.

During the third steam generation and steam circulation phase of the steam generator 12 to the drum 2, an inverted rotation of a fan 10 of the cold air circuit 5 is carried out. The rotation of the fan 10 of the cold air circuit 5 is reversed relative to the optimum operating direction of said fan 10. Thus, the condensation of the steam is minimized in order to optimize the unwinding of the laundry.

During the rotation in opposite direction of said fan 10 of the cold air circuit 10, the air flow is limited and therefore the efficiency of the condenser 9 is reduced. The condenser 9 is cooled less so the steam present in the hot air circuit 4 is less condensed. Said steam can then be reinjected into the drum 2 of the dryer 1.

Thus, a gain in energy and water consumption is achieved.

In the case where a single motor 11 drives the drum 2 and said fan 10 of the cold air circuit 5, the rotation of the drum 2 is also reversed during said third phase.

The use of the same motor 11 for driving the fan 10 of the cold air circuit 5 and the drum 2 makes it possible to save money and space in the machine 1.

The efficiency of the condenser 9 with a fan 10 of the cold air circuit 5 rotating in the positive direction is of the order of 70%.

La puissance échangée dans le condenseur 9 est de l'ordre de 2000W.The power exchanged in the condenser 9 is of the order of 2000W.

Ainsi, le rendement du condenseur 9 est de l'ordre de 30%.The change of direction of rotation of the drum 2 also makes it possible to modify the direction of rotation of the fan 10 and thus to modify the flow of ambient air passing through the condenser 9. A lower air flow generated by the fan 10 creates an exchange less heat between moist warm air and ambient air. Thus, the efficiency of the condenser 9 is of the order of 30%.

La puissance échangée dans le condenseur 9 est de l'ordre de 800W.The power exchanged in the condenser 9 is of the order of 800W.

In addition, the fan 8 of the hot air circuit 4 is also driven by the motor 11 and said fan 8 also rotating in the opposite direction. Thus, the hot air circuit 4 has a lower air flow. Moreover, the power of said at least one heating element 6 is lower to obtain a temperature at the outlet of the pipe 15 substantially identical.

A lower hot air flow rate also makes it possible to limit the risk of entrainment of water droplets that can be discharged with the steam in the hot air circuit 4 and consequently to limit the risk of short circuiting of said at least one a heating element 6.

The steam generation can be interrupted during the rotation of the drum 2 in said positive direction.

The cooling by the condenser 9 is also less important, hence a minimized heat exchange.

The steam is introduced and put into circulation in a hot air circuit 4 of the dryer 1 during the third steam generation and steam circulation phase of the steam generator 12 to the drum 2.

L'introduction de vapeur est régulée par des temps de marche et d'arrêt du générateur de vapeur 12.The introduction of steam is regulated by the on and off times of the steam generator 12.

The stopping time of the steam generator 12 is present to stabilize the temperature of said steam generator 12 by cooling it with water drip into it.

The water introduced dropwise is at ambient temperature and cools the steam generator being hot. During water supply stopping times in the steam generator, the latter heats up. Stopping water introduction times are necessary to cause the temperature rise of the steam generator. If these water supply stoppages are not provided, the steam generator discharges water droplets into the hot air circuit 4.

Thus, the water is not introduced in liquid form into the hot air circuit 4 of the dryer 1 but only in vapor form.

In the case of a tube steam generator 12, the flow of water supplied to said steam generator 12 can be continuous without causing a flow of water into the hot air circuit 4.

The condenser 9 operates at its maximum efficiency during the fourth phase of evacuation of the steam from the drum 2 and cooling the laundry contained in said drum 2.

During this fourth phase of the laundry degreasing process, the fans 8 and 10 operate in the positive direction.

This fourth phase of the laundry degreasing process makes it possible to remove the laundry from the drum 2 of the dryer 1 without the evacuation of a cloud of steam when the access door of said machine 1 is opened.

In addition, the fourth phase of the method avoids the evacuation of steam condensing on a control panel (not shown) on the front of the dryer machine 1. Said control panel is generally equipped with an electronic card that can be damaged by steam or moisture.

Par ailleurs, la quatrième phase du procédé permet d'éviter à l'utilisateur de se brûler les mains en retirant le linge du tambour 2.In addition, the fourth phase of the method avoids the user to burn his hands by removing the laundry drum 2.

The first phase of the laundry degreasing process has a duration of the order of 1 minute to 3 minutes. The duration of the first phase of the laundry degreasing process is dependent on the type of steam generator and its power.

The second phase of preheating of the drum 2 by at least one heating element 6 and a circulation of hot air generated by said at least one fan 8 has a duration of the order of 1 minute to 3 minutes.

The first phase and the second phase can be performed simultaneously. In this embodiment of the invention, the second phase of the laundry unwinding process extends from about one minute to three minutes with respect to said first phase.

The third phase of steam generation and steam circulation of the steam generator 12 to the drum 2 has a duration of the order of 10 minutes.

The fourth phase of evacuating the steam from the drum 2 and cooling the laundry contained in said drum 2 has a duration of the order of two minutes.

La quantité d'eau injectée à chaque cycle de défroissage du linge dans le générateur de vapeur 12 est de l'ordre de 300mL à 400mL.The amount of water injected at each cycle of straightening of the laundry in the steam generator 12 is of the order of 300mL to 400mL.

The method of straightening laundry in a condensing dryer 1 comprises a steam generator 12, a condenser 9 and a drum 2 housed inside a body.

Said drum 2 contains the laundry to be stripped and is connected to said condenser 9 by a pipe 13. Said condenser 9 is connected to at least two fans 8 and 10 each by a pipe 14 and 16.

Et ledit au moins un ventilateur 8 est relié audit tambour 2 par une conduite 15.And said at least one fan 8 is connected to said drum 2 by a pipe 15.

  • une phase de brassage du linge où le fonctionnement du condenseur 9 est à son rendement minimum afin de minimiser la condensation de vapeur lors de son passage dans ledit condenseur 9 ;
The method of straightening the laundry in a condensing dryer 1 comprises at least the following step:
  • a laundry mixing phase where the operation of the condenser 9 is at its minimum efficiency in order to minimize the condensation of steam during its passage in said condenser 9;
  • said brewing phase of the laundry being performed during a steam introduction phase in a hot air circuit 4 of said machine 1.

This brewing phase of the laundry makes it possible to limit the cooling of the condenser 9 and consequently the condensation of the steam.

Thus, the consumption of water and energy is optimized during the implementation of a laundry cycle by steam steaming. The duration of the anti-crease cycle is also optimized.

Said at least one fan 10 operates periodically and predominantly in the opposite direction of rotation with respect to the operating rotation direction having a maximum flow rate during the brewing phase of the laundry to obtain the minimum efficiency of the condenser 9.

Thus, the efficiency of the condenser 9 is minimum to prevent condensation of the steam as it passes through said condenser 9.

The operating time ratio of said at least one fan 10 in the direction of rotation having a maximum flow rate relative to the reverse direction of rotation is between 1/5 th and 1/15 th , and preferably of the order of 1 / 10 th .
