Definitions
- the invention relates to a vacuum cleaner with a vacuum cleaner housing which comprises a dirt collecting container having a lower part and a lower part, a suction unit receiving upper part, and with a pivotable about a pivot axis mounted on the lower part of the handle bar, which is U-shaped and has a handle and two legs projecting from the handle, locking elements being arranged on the legs and on the upper part, which engage behind each other when the handle is vertically aligned.
- Such a vacuum cleaner is from the GB 2 250 427 A known.
- the lower part forms a dirt collecting container, which can be acted upon by means of the suction unit arranged in the upper part with a negative pressure, so that dirt can be sucked into the collecting container.
- the upper part can be locked by means of the handle bar with the lower part. For this purpose, it is necessary in the known vacuum cleaner to pivot the handle bar in its vertical position.
- the handle bar has on the inner sides of the legs in each case a pin and on the outer sides of the upper part a pin receptacle is in each case arranged, in which the pin engages with vertical alignment of the handle bracket. In this position, the pin engages behind the associated receptacle, so that the upper part is locked to the lower part.
- the pin thus serves for one of the locking of the upper part with the lower part, on the other hand, the handle bar is fixed by means of the pin in its vertical position.
- the definition of the handlebar simplifies handling of the vacuum cleaner. The handle thus undergoes a considerable mechanical load, so that there is a risk of damage and thus a limitation of the life of the vacuum cleaner.
- Object of the present invention is to develop a vacuum cleaner of the type mentioned in such a way that the risk of damage to the vacuum cleaner can be reduced during its handling.
- the elements for locking the upper part are decoupled with the lower part of the elements for fixing the handle bracket in its vertical position.
- cooperating locking elements are used, and in addition comprises the vacuum cleaner locking elements with which the upper part can be locked to the lower part. This makes it possible to design the locking and locking elements in a structurally different manner and to optimize for their respective function. The risk of damage to the vacuum cleaner during its handling is thereby significantly reduced.
- the at least one latching element arranged on the vacuum cleaner housing is connected to a form-elastic one Exterior wall molded.
- This has the advantage that the formula elasticity of the outer wall can be used to form an elastic restoring force against whose action the locking elements arranged on the at least one leg and on the vacuum cleaner housing can be brought into engagement with one another.
- the Anformung of the locking element to an outer wall of the vacuum cleaner housing also makes it possible to produce the vacuum cleaner cost, wherein the integrally connected to the outer wall locking element holds high mechanical stress conditions.
- the at least one latching element arranged on the vacuum cleaner housing is integrally formed on an edge portion of an outer wall of the upper part facing the lower part.
- the outer wall is elastically deformable in such an edge portion with relatively little effort, without damaging the outer wall is to be feared.
- the elasticity of the marginal section of the outer wall can be used to ensure a mechanically resilient determination of the handle bar in its vertical position.
- the locking element arranged on the at least one leg is integrally formed on a form-elastic wall section of the leg.
- the locking element may be formed particularly stable in such a configuration, without it being necessary that the locking element is deformable, the deformability required for the preparation of a locking connection is rather ensured by the edge portion of the leg, which is designed according to form-elastic.
- the two legs are configured double-walled at least at the level of the locking elements and have an inner wall facing the vacuum cleaner housing and an outer wall facing away from the vacuum cleaner housing, wherein the inner wall carries at least one latching element and is form-elastic in the area of the latching element is trained.
- the inner wall is connected via connecting webs with the outer wall, wherein the locking elements of the respective leg are integrally formed on a free-standing edge portion of the inner wall of the leg.
- the locking elements are designed as an arcuate, concentric with the pivot axis aligned and at least in the vertical orientation of the handle bracket engaging behind wall elements which are arranged on the outside of the upper part and the inside of the legs.
- the wall elements are integrally connected to the upper part or the respective leg.
- the wall elements engage behind over a pivoting range of the handle bracket of at least 90 °. This has the advantage that the upper part is still locked to the lower part even if the handle bar does not exactly occupy its vertically oriented position.
- the wall elements engage behind over a pivoting range of at least 135 °, in particular over a pivoting range of about 160 ° to 180 °.
- the risk is reduced that a user mistakenly by deflecting the handle bar from its vertical position, the locking of the upper part with the lower part and thus solves their flow-tight connection.
- For unlocking it is rather necessary to deliberately pivot the handle over a relatively large pivoting range, preferably starting from a vertical orientation by at least 90 °.
- the locking of the upper part with the lower part, starting from a vertical orientation of the handle bracket can only be canceled by pivoting the handle bracket in a first pivoting direction.
- the user must be deliberately pivoted in a particular pivoting direction in such an embodiment of the vacuum cleaner according to the invention, the handle bar to lift the lock between the upper part and the lower part. The risk of erroneous unlocking is thereby reduced.
- a stop is arranged on one of the interlocking locking elements, which can be applied to limit the pivoting movement of the handle bar to the other locking element.
- the handle bar In a first pivoting direction, the handle bar can thus be pivoted starting from its vertical orientation so far that release the associated locking elements and therefore the top can be removed from the base, while in a second pivoting direction of the handle can only be pivoted so far until the arranged on a locking element stop on the other assigned Locking element strikes. In this position, the inter-engaging arrangement of mutually associated locking elements remains, so that the upper part is reliably locked to the lower part.
- a mechanically particularly resilient embodiment of the vacuum cleaner according to the invention can be achieved in that the respectively arranged on a leg wall element is designed as an annular wall, which is aligned concentrically to the axis of rotation and has a recess for the passage of the upper part arranged projection. If the upper part is placed on the lower part, so previously pivoted on the lower part handle bar is pivoted in such a position that the recess of the arranged on the legs ring wall is oriented vertically upwards, so that the upper part can be placed on the lower part, said the wall element of the upper part dips into the recess of the annular wall. Subsequently, the handle bar can be pivoted into its vertical position, in which case the annular wall engages over the wall element of the upper part and thus can act on the upper part with a clamping force in the direction of the lower part.
- annular wall is arranged concentrically to a bearing bush of the respective leg, which surrounds a journal held on the lower part.
- the annular wall is connected via at least one connecting wall with the bearing bush.
- the connecting wall is preferably radially aligned relative to the pivot axis.
- the connecting wall can form a stop for limiting the pivoting movement of the handle bracket.
- the arranged on the upper wall element is preferably designed as a strip-like projection.
- a total occupied by the reference numeral 10 vacuum cleaner is shown schematically, which is designed substantially cylindrical and a vacuum cleaner housing 11 with a lower part 12 and an attachable to this upper part 14 includes.
- the lower part 12 forms a dirt collecting 16, in the via a suction nozzle 17 dirt can be sucked.
- suction nozzle 17 is a known per se and therefore not shown in the drawing suction hose connected, which carries a suction nozzle at its free end in the usual way.
- the lower part 12 is covered by the upper part 14, which receives in a known manner a suction unit with a suction turbine and an electric motor.
- suction units are known in the art.
- the dirt collecting 16 can be subjected to negative pressure.
- the lower part 12 In its upper edge region, the lower part 12 carries an externally hinged to this handle bar 20 which is mounted pivotably about a pivot axis 22 on the lower part 12. It is designed substantially U-shaped and comprises a parallel to the pivot axis 20 extending web, which forms a handle 24, and end of the handle 24 projecting legs 25, 26 which are configured identically and end in diametrically opposite areas of the lower part 12 at these are articulated.
- the legs 25 and 26 are each formed double-walled and comprise an inner wall 28 and an outer wall extending substantially parallel to this 29.
- the inner wall 28 facing the upper part 14 and the outer wall 29 is remote from the upper part 14.
- the inner wall 28 is integrally connected to the outer wall 29, and run between the inner wall 28 and the outer wall 29 a plurality of spaced apart connecting webs 30, which give the handle bar 20 a mechanically strong resilient design.
- the upper part 14 has a lid 32 with a cylinder jacket-shaped outer wall 33 which in a bottom portion 12 facing the edge portion 34 each have a leg 25 and 26 associated with two outwardly facing ribs 36, 37 carries, which form between them a locking receptacle 38 and in one piece are connected to the outer wall 33.
- a locking receptacle 38 emerges in vertical alignment of the handle bar 20 formed on the inner wall 28 of the respective leg 25 and 26, rib-shaped locking lug 40 a.
- the latching receptacle 38 and the latching lug 40 thus form latching elements which can be brought into engagement with one another by the handle bar 20 being pivoted into its vertical position.
- the latching receptacle 38 and the latching lug 40 each associated with a leg 25 and 26 respectively disposed on diametrically opposite sides of the vacuum cleaner 10, the handle bar 20 is reliably held in its vertical position.
- the outer wall 33 of the lid 32 is formed as well as the inner wall 28 of the legs 25 and 26 form-elastic.
- the handle bar 20 When the handle bar 20 is pivoted into its vertical position, therefore, the region of the outer wall 33 adjacent to the catch receptacle 38 can be deformed radially inwardly with respect to the cylinder axis 42 of the vacuum cleaner 10, and the inner wall 28 can move radially outwards, namely in the direction of the outer wall 29 be deformed to bring the locking receptacle 38 and the detent 40 with each other.
- Additional spring elements to ensure a latching connection are therefore not required and the ribs 36 and 37 may be designed as well as the locking lug 40 dimensionally stable.
- the legs 25 and 26 each have a bearing bush 45 at its free end, which bears slidably on a bearing pin 46 fixed to the lower part 12.
- the bearing bush 45 is integrally connected via radially extending to the pivot axis 22 connecting walls 48 with a wall element in the form of an annular wall 50 which surrounds the bearing bush 45 in the circumferential direction and has a recess 52. The latter forms an access to the annular space between the bearing bush 45 and the annular wall 50.
- a circular-arc-shaped support wall 54 is arranged radially offset inwardly between the annular wall 50 and the bearing bush 45, which is integral with the bearing bush 45 and the annular wall 50 connected is.
- each assigned to a bearing pin 46, the upper part 14 at a distance from the pivot axis 22 below the locking receptacle 38 has a wall element in the form of a strip-shaped projection 56 which is circular arc-shaped with respect to the pivot axis 22 and projects radially outward from the upper part 14 relative to the cylinder axis 42 ,
- the strip-shaped projection 56 of the upper part 14 is overlapped with vertically aligned handle bar 20 of the annular wall 50, which bears flat against the top of the strip-shaped projection 56.
- the handle bar 20 pivot about the pivot axis 22 so far that the recess 52 of the annular wall 50 is located at the height of the strip-like projection 56 is.
- the upper part 14 can be lifted from the lower part 12, in which case the strip-like projection 56 passes through the recess 52.
- the upper part 14 can be placed on the lower part 12 in this orientation of the handle bracket 20, in which case the strip-like projection 56 passes through the recess 52 and can be applied to the radially outer side of the support wall 54.
- the handle bar 20 can be pivoted, in which case the annular wall 50 engages behind the strip-like projection 56 and consequently the upper part 14 is locked to the lower part 12.
- the alignment of the recess 52 to the strip-like projection 56 thus defines an unlocked position.
- This is the user of the vacuum cleaner 10 dictated by a substantially tangential to the bearing bush 45 extending intermediate wall 58, via which the support wall 54 is integrally connected to the annular wall 50, abuts the strip-like projection 56.
- the radially aligned connecting wall 48 abuts the strip-like projection 56, wherein the locking of the upper part 14 with the lower part 12 is maintained.
- the radial connecting wall 48 thus forms, like the intermediate wall 58, a stop limiting the pivoting movement of the handle bar 20.
