Das Antriebsrad 33 ist dabei drehfest auf der Motorwelle eines elektromotorischen, reversiblen Antriebes, vorzugsweise eines Schrittmotors 34, angeordnet, der über eine Steuerleitung 36 an einen Steuerungsrechner 35, beispielsweise einen Zentralrechner der Textilmaschine angeschlossen ist und über diesen definiert angesteuert werden kann.
In alternativer Ausführungsform kann als Steuerungsrechner 35 selbstverständlich auch ein Sektionsrechner oder ein separater Arbeitsstellenrechner zum Einsatz kommen.
