Derartige an sich bekannte Offenend-Rotorspinnmaschinen weisen eine Vielzahl von Arbeitsstellen 2 auf, die jeweils mit einer Spinnbox 3 sowie einer Spuleinrichtung 4 ausgerüstet sind.
In der Spinnbox 3 wird das in einer Spinnkanne 5 vorgelegte Faserband 6 zu einem Faden 7 versponnen, der anschließend auf der Spuleinrichtungen 4 zu einer Kreuzspule 8 aufgewickelt wird.

Der Führungsschuh 26 ist außerdem an der Außenseite 40 eines Endloszugmittels, vorzugsweise eines Zahnriemens 30, befestigt. Wie angedeutet ist der Zahnriemen 30 im dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel wenigstens über Umlenkräder 31, 32 sowie ein Antriebsrad 33 geführt.
Das Antriebsrad 33 ist dabei drehfest auf der Motorwelle eines elektromotorischen, reversiblen Antriebes, vorzugsweise eines Schrittmotors 34, angeordnet, der über eine Steuerleitung 36 an einen Steuerungsrechner 35, beispielsweise einen Zentralrechner der Textilmaschine angeschlossen ist und über diesen definiert angesteuert werden kann.
In alternativer Ausführungsform kann als Steuerungsrechner 35 selbstverständlich auch ein Sektionsrechner oder ein separater Arbeitsstellenrechner zum Einsatz kommen.
Wie insbesondere aus Fig. 3 ersichtlich, sind die seitlich neben dem Changierbereich B des Fadenführers 25 angeordneten Umlenkräder 31, 32 so positioniert, dass der Zahnriemen 30 ständig mit seiner Außenseite 40 an den Wandungsabschnitten 38, 39 des Gehäuses 23 anliegt bzw. an diesen entlang gleitet.
