Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a fixing device and a mounting method for fixing a dispensing member such as a pump or a valve on an opening of a fluid reservoir.
  • this opening is formed by a neck which protrudes from a tank body serving as a storage volume for the fluid product.
  • the device has an axis of symmetry and comprises a fixing ring provided with receiving means for the dispensing member and fastening means on the opening of the reservoir.
  • the fixing device comprises a hoop intended to surround the ring, the hoop comprising an outer wall intended to come into contact with the outer wall of the ring. This type of ring and ring fastening device is frequently used in the fields of perfumery, cosmetics or even pharmacy.
  • the fixing ring comprises a peripheral skirt intended to be positioned around the opening of the reservoir to achieve a fixation.
  • the opening of the reservoir is formed by a neck which is provided with a peripheral reinforcement which protrudes outwards. This reinforcement thus forms a downwardly directed shoulder which serves as an attachment zone for the skirt.
  • the skirt is provided with attachment heads advantageously distributed regularly on the inner periphery of the skirt. Alternatively, these attachment heads may be replaced by a continuous peripheral bead also intended to engage under the shoulder of the neck.
  • the skirt may be continuous over its entire periphery or split so as to form segments separated by slots. Each segment can be formed with one or two head (s) of attachment.
  • the documents EP 0 653 359 and EP 0 707 895 show fasteners of this type.
  • the skirt split and provided with hooking heads, while in the document EP 0 707 895 , the skirt is continuous and formed with internal bosses similar to the attachment heads.
  • the fixing ring is provided with outwardly protruding profiles intended to form an abutment zone for the lower end of the hoop.
  • protruding profiles have sufficient strength to allow the establishment of the ring on the opening of the tank by pressing the collar which itself bears on the protruding profiles.
  • the ring can initially be mounted on the opening of the tank, and in a second time a stronger pressure allows the hoop to deform or to break the protruding profiles for him. allow to engage permanently around the ring and more particularly the skirt to thereby lock the ring on the opening of the tank.
  • elements which protrude outwards with respect to the substantially cylindrical outer wall of the ring in association with the lower end edge of the hoop are used to effect a temporary prepositioning of the ring. fret on the ring.
  • the object of the present invention is to remedy the aforementioned problem of the prior art by defining a device with a fixing ring and a ring in which the prepositioning of the hoop on the ring and / or the definitive fixing of the hoop on the ring are made. easier and safer way.
  • the present invention proposes that the outer wall of the ring is provided with at least one housing and that the inner wall of the hoop is provided with at least one projecting profile intended to engage in the housing of the ring. This produces a real snap of the band on the ring.
  • the engagement of the profile in the housing corresponds to a final mounting position of the hoop in the ring.
  • the profile of the hoop is not used to preposition the hoop on the ring.
  • the engagement of the profile in the housing corresponds to an intermediate position of assembly of the hoop in the ring.
  • the housing of the ring is not used for the final fixing of the band on the ring, but only to its temporary prepositioning.
  • said at least one housing extends in a plane perpendicular to the axis.
  • the housing may for example be in the form of an annular groove or several groove segments which extend annularly.
  • the inner wall comprises an upper end and a lower end, said at least one projecting profile being formed closer to the upper end than the lower end, preferably close to the end. higher.
  • This embodiment is particularly well suited to the final fixing of the hoop on the ring.
  • the inner wall comprises a lower end, said at least one projecting profile being formed at said lower end, said at least one profile being engaged in said at least one housing in an intermediate mounting position.
  • This embodiment is more particularly adapted to a prepositioning and then to a final fixing of the band on the ring.
  • said at least one profile engages under the lower edge of the ring in a final mounting position.
  • the ring can be free from the housing so that the projecting profile of the hoop only snaps under the ring in the final mounting position.
  • the hoop comprises an outer wall provided with at least one recess.
  • said at least one recess is situated axially at the same level as said at least one projecting profile.
  • said at least one recess and said at least one protruding profile are formed by peripheral deformation towards the inside of the hoop. It is thus possible to mount a cover on the fixing device, the cover being provided with at least one inner boss intended to engage in said at least one recess of the hoop.
  • the combination of the recess and the boss form a snap fastening system for a good hold of the hood on the fastener.
  • the deformation of the hoop which generates an outer recess and an inner projecting profile serves both an intermediate and / or final fixing of the hoop on the ring and a temporary fixing of a cover on the hoop.
  • the ring comprises an upper peripheral ring and a skirt which extends downwards from the crown, the skirt forming segments which are separated by slots, each segment forms at least one hooking head which projects inwards, said at least one housing being formed at the level of the crown.
  • the invention also defines a method of mounting a fixing device as defined above on a tank opening provided with a hooking shoulder, wherein said at least one projecting profile remains engaged in said at least one housing until the gripping heads are engaged under the hooking shoulder of the opening of the tank.
  • the fixing device of the invention is intended to be permanently mounted on an opening 41 of a fluid reservoir 4.
  • the reservoir may be identical in all the embodiments of the invention. invention. However, it can also present with different shapes, colors or aspects.
  • the opening 41 is here formed by a neck 40 which is connected to a shoulder 44 which already forms a portion of the body of the reservoir for containing fluid.
  • the neck 40 protrudes from this shoulder 44 and internally defines the opening 41.
  • the neck 40 has an axial symmetry with respect to an axis of symmetry X.
  • the neck 40 comprises an inner wall which defines the opening 41 This inner wall may be cylindrical or slightly recessed. It may for example have a narrowed opening section below which the inner wall of the neck is slightly dimmed.
  • the neck also has an upper peripheral edge 42 at which can be formed a sealing ring 421 which protrudes upwards.
  • the neck 40 forms a peripheral reinforcement 423 which protrudes outwards.
  • This reinforcement 423 connects the lower part of the neck via a shoulder 43 which is oriented downwardly and outwardly.
  • This shoulder 43 will serve as an attachment zone for the various fixing devices of the invention.
  • the design of this neck 40 is quite conventional for a tank made of glass, or even plastic.
  • the various fixing devices of the invention are associated with a dispensing member 3 which may be a pump or a valve.
  • the dispensing member comprises a body 30 defining an inlet inserted in the neck 40 or even in the body of the tank.
  • the body 3 here comprises a peripheral flange 31 which protrudes outwards.
  • the underside of this collar 31 may be provided with a neck seal 34 intended to come into compression on the peripheral edge 42 of the neck 40 to achieve a seal.
  • the peripheral ring 421 helps improved sealing by locally compressing the seal more strongly.
  • the body 30 is associated with a dispensing head 32 which may for example incorporate a dispensing orifice in the form of a spray nozzle.
  • the dispensing head 32 can also serve as a push on which is pressed to operate the dispenser.
  • a return spring 33 may for example push the dispensing head 32 into its rest position.
  • This design for a dispensing member, whether it is a pump or a valve, is quite classic. In any case, the particular design of the dispensing member is not critical at all for the present invention.
  • the various fixing devices of the invention comprise both constituent elements, namely a fixing ring 1 and a hoop 2.
  • a fixing ring 1 a fixing ring 1
  • a hoop 2 a fixing ring 2
  • the structure of the fixing ring and the hoop is globally identical, similar or similar.
  • the fixing ring 1 generally comprises receiving means for receiving the dispensing member 3 and fixing means for fixing on the neck 40 of the container.
  • the fixing ring 1 here comprises an upper ring 11 and a lower skirt 12.
  • the ring 11 comprises an outer wall 111 and an inner wall 112.
  • the ring 11 also comprises a free upper end 115.
  • the ring 111 connects the lower skirt 112 forming a reentrant shoulder 113 which is oriented downwards.
  • This shoulder 113 is intended to engage with the outer edge of the radial collar 31 formed by the body 30 of the dispensing member 3.
  • the retracting shoulder 113 engages the upper face of the collar 31 and the skirt 12 extends around the edge of the collar 31.
  • the ring 111 is positioned above the collar 31: the internal diameter of the ring at its inner wall 112 is smaller than the external diameter of the collar 31.
  • the skirt 12 also comprises an inner wall 122 and an outer wall 121. Due to the presence of the reentrant shoulder 113, the inner wall 122 of the skirt 12 is situated radially further out than the inner wall 112 of the skirt 12. In other words, the diameter of the skirt 12 at its inner wall 122 is greater than the internal diameter of the ring 11 at its level. internal wall 112.
  • the outer wall 121 of the skirt 112 may be perfectly circular cylindrical. It may have an external diameter slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the outer wall 111 of the ring 11 outside the housing 114. However, it is also possible for the outer wall 121 to extend in the extension of the outer wall 111 so that that they have the same external diameter.
  • the skirt 12 in the embodiments of the invention is not continuous, but instead formed by several segments 123 which are separated by vertical slots 125.
  • the slots 125 can extend to the level of the ring 11 or stop before.
  • the height of the skirt is essentially formed by an alternation of segments 123 and slots 125. It is conceivable, however, embodiments in which the slots 125 do not extend to the level of the ring 111 so that the skirt remains continuous on a higher part.
  • the inner wall 122 of the segments 123 of the skirt 12 is provided with attachment or latching heads 124 which project radially inwards.
  • two heads 124 may be provided per segment 123. In place of these two heads 124, it is also possible to provide a continuous bead segment.
  • the heads 124 are formed at the lower end 126 of the skirt 12. More specifically, they extend over the lower half of the segments 123. These heads 124 are intended to engage under the shoulder 43 of the neck, as can be seen on the figures 2 , 3 , 5 , 6 , 8 and 9 . In this configuration, the upper peripheral edge 42 of the neck 40 is pressed against the underside of the seal 34, possibly with the ring 421 which penetrates relatively deep into the seal 34. A solid and waterproof attachment is thus achieved.
  • the hoop 2 in its final mounting position shown on the figures 3 , 6 and 9 surrounds the skirt 12 from outside so as to block the heads under the shoulder 43.
  • the function of the hoop 2 is therefore a blocking function, but it also incorporates an aesthetic function of dressing and even protection of the 1.
  • the hoop 2 is in the form of a substantially cylindrical tube having an inner wall 21, a outer wall 22, an upper end 25 and a lower end 27.
  • the upper end 25 forms a reentrant flap which defines a passage opening 26. This general configuration is common to all the frets of the embodiments of the invention. Figures 1 to 9 .
  • the fixing ring 1 is provided at the outer wall 111 of the ring 11 of a housing 114 which is in the form of a depression or a recess in the wall 111, which may be circular cylindrical.
  • the diameter of the ring 11 at the housing 114 is smaller than the external diameter at the wall 111.
  • This housing 114 can extend over the entire periphery of the ring 11 so as to form a continuous annular groove.
  • This groove 114 has a bottom flanked by two flanks which respectively join the outer wall 111.
  • the outer diameter of the ring 11 at the wall 111 outside housing 114 may be identical to or slightly greater than the outer diameter of the skirt 12 to In other words, the ring 11 can protrude very slightly outwards with respect to the skirt 12.
  • the band 2 it has an internal diameter at its inner wall 21 which is identical or slightly less than the outer diameter of the ring 11 at its outer wall 111.
  • the inner wall 21 of the hoop is cylindrical for the most part. It is thus possible to engage the band 2 on the ring 11 with a tight fit so that the band 2 can be held in place or prepositioned on the ring 1.
