Definitions
- the present invention relates to an optical fiber distribution cabinet according to the preamble of claim 1.
- distribution cabinets are required to ensure structured cabling.
- One requirement that is placed on fiber optic distribution cabinets is that they be populated to the maximum with a high packing density and at the same time that the optical fiber is subjected to little mechanical stress.
- Optical waveguide distribution cabinets are known from the prior art, in which assemblies for connecting optical waveguides guided by means of patch cables are arranged in a frame which can be pivoted relative to a housing of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet.
- the cables are led into the optical waveguide distribution cabinet from an upper side and / or a lower side of the housing in the region of a rear side of the housing and are led to the pivoting frame starting from the rear side of the housing.
- the cables are fastened on the one hand in an area of the rear of the housing and on the other hand on the pivotable frame.
- the frame is pivoted relative to the housing or out of the housing in such optical waveguide distribution cabinets.
- the cables are also moved and mechanically stressed by fixing the cables to the frame. Due to the rigid fixation of the cables to the pivoting frame, which is customary in the prior art, the cables are kinked, compressed or else twisted, which in any case leads to an impairment of the optical transmission properties of the optical fibers running in the cables. In addition, due to the rigid fixing of the cables to the swiveling frame, a mechanical force is exerted on the frame, which in extreme cases can lead to the frame no longer being able to be moved.
- the present invention is based on the problem of creating a new type of optical waveguide distribution cabinet.
- optical fiber distribution cabinet with the features of claim 1.
- at least one holding device for the cables is fastened to the pivotably mounted frame, the cables being fixable to the or each holding device, and the or each holding device on the one hand together with the frame opposite the housing and on the other hand the frame is pivotable.
- the pivotability of the or each holding device relative to the frame, which can also be pivoted, minimizes the mechanical stress on the cables when the frame is pivoted.
- the or each holding device can be pivoted relative to the frame in such a way that in any position of the frame the or each holding device extends onto the rear of the housing. is aimed.
- the or each holding device is aligned with an area of the rear or rear wall of the housing, at which the cables are to be inserted into the optical fiber distribution cabinet and / or are to be routed or fastened from the same.
- the or each holding device is preferably fastened to the rear of the housing by means of at least one pulling device, to be precise in the region or in the vicinity of the region at which the cables are to be inserted into and / or guided out of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet are.
- the or each traction device is relatively relaxed in the position in which the relative distance between the respective holding device and the area of the rear of the housing is the smallest, the or each traction device being tensioned as the relative distance increases.
- FIG. 2 a highly schematic plan view of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet according to FIG. 1 with a swivel frame pivoted out of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet,
- FIGS. 1 and 2 a highly schematic side view of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the pivot frame being shown in the basic position and in the pivoted-out position
- 4 a detail of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet according to the invention in a perspective side view.
- 1 and 2 show a plan view of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet according to the invention
- Fig. 3 shows a front view of the same.
- An optical waveguide distribution cabinet 10 has a housing 11, the housing 11 including, among other things, two spars 12, 13 in the region of a rear wall or rear side 14 of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet and of two spars 15, 16 in the region of a front wall or front side 17 it is formed.
- a pivotable frame 18 is arranged in the optical waveguide distribution cabinet 10, the frame 18 being pivotable about a pivot axis 19 relative to the fixed housing 10.
- 1 shows the optical waveguide distribution cabinet with a frame 18 pivoted into the housing 11, and
- FIG. 2 shows the same with a frame 18 pivoted out of the housing 11. It follows immediately that in the position shown in FIG Frame 18 can be accessed on the front of modules positioned in the frame, whereas in the position of frame 18 shown in FIG. 2, the rear of these modules can be accessed.
- cables (not shown in detail) are led into the optical waveguide distribution cabinet 10 adjacent to the rear side 14 and, if appropriate, are led out of the latter.
- the cables to be introduced into the optical waveguide distribution cabinet 10 or out of the same are guided in an area 20 of the rear wall 14 and, if necessary, fastened. Starting from this area 20, the cables are then fed to the pivotable frame 18 in order to finally finally assemblies arranged in the frame 18 for connecting the optical fibers guided in the cables.
- the cables are fed from the area 20 to an end 21 of the pivotable frame 18, a guide rail 22 being rigidly connected to the frame 18 in the area of this end 21.
- the cables can be guided along the pivotable frame 18 in the vertical direction. It is now within the meaning of the present invention not to fasten the cables directly to the guide rail 22, but rather to a holding device 23, the holding device 23 on the one hand being designed to be pivotable together with the frame 18 relative to the housing 11 and on the other hand likewise is pivotable relative to the frame 18.
- the holding device 23 is accordingly not rigidly fixed to the pivotable frame 18, but rather engages the same via a pivot bearing or hinge 24.
- FIG. 3 shows the frame 18 in two different positions. The position according to FIG. 1 is shown with solid lines in FIG. 3, and the position according to FIG. 2 is shown with dashed lines in FIG. 3.
- the holding device 23 is designed to be pivotable relative to the frame 18 such that in any position of the pivotable frame 18 - be it in the position shown in FIG. 1 pivoted into the housing 11 or in the position shown in FIG. 2 out of the housing 11 pivoted position - the holding device 23 is aligned with the rear 14 of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet 10. 1 and 2 can can be seen that the holding device 23 is always aligned to the area 20, at which the cables to be inserted into the optical waveguide distribution cabinet 10 or out or out of the same are guided or fastened. It can further be seen from FIG.
- the holding device 23 is connected to the rear side 14, namely the region 20 of the rear side 14, via a pulling device 25 connected.
- the pulling device 25 is fastened with a first end 26 to a fixed point 27 of the region 20 of the rear side 14 and with a second end 28 to the holding device 23.
- the pulling device 25 can be used as a pulling rope or tension spring.
- the pulling force in the pulling device 25 is set such that the pulling device 25 is relatively relaxed at the smallest distance between the holding device 23 and the fixed point 27 or the area 20.
- the auxiliary device 25 is tensioned more. This can be seen in particular in FIG. 3.
- the pulling device 25 is designed as a pulling rope, the pulling device is tensioned by the weight of the cables.
- An embodiment of the traction device is preferred, in which two traction cables are present, a receiving trough made of plastic film being formed between the two traction cables, and the cables being able to be inserted into this receiving trough.
- the two pull cables and the receiving trough are then tensioned in this case and the cables inserted into the receiving trough are raised.
- the pull cables are tensioned by the weight of the cables inserted in the trough.
- the frame is pivoted into the position of FIG. 2
- the cables are lowered with the receiving trough, the weight of the cables being transmitted as a tensile force via the pull cables to the holding device pivotably mounted on the frame.
- the movement of the cables is divided into two main components or zones by the holding device 23 which is designed to be pivotable relative to the pivotable frame 18 when the frame 18 is pivoted.
- the first main movement to be carried out by the cables is determined by the free hanging of the cables between the region 20 of the rear side 14 of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet 10 and the holding device 23 to which the cables are attached.
- the cables In the position of the frame 18 shown in FIG. 1, pivoted into the optical waveguide distribution cabinet, the cables are raised, however, when they are pivoted into the position shown in FIG. 2, they are lowered. This follows immediately from FIG. 3.
- the cables perform a relative movement between the holding device 23 and the guide rail 22 arranged above the holding device 23. While the guide rail 22 is rigidly connected to the pivotable frame, the holding device 23 can be pivoted relative to the frame 18. In the area between the holding device 23 and the guide rail 22, the cables accordingly carry out a slight bending movement with weak torsion.
- FIG. 4 shows a preferred embodiment of the holding device 23.
- the holding device 23 shown in FIG. 4 has an approximately E-shaped cross section.
- the holding device 23 has a plate-shaped base element 29, three holding elements 30 being angled at approximately 90 ° with respect to the base element 29 in the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 4.
- the holding elements 30, together with the base element 29, delimit two receiving spaces 31 and 32, the two receiving spaces 31 and 32 being open in the direction of the rear side 14 of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet 10. This can be seen in particular in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the design of the two receiving spaces 31 and 32 makes it possible to separate incoming and outgoing cables from one another. This facilitates possible routing work on the cables.
- openings 33 are integrated in the holding elements 30 and in the base element 29. Cable ties or Velcro strips, for example, can be pulled through the openings 33 in order to fix the cables arranged in the receiving spaces 31 and 32 in the holding device 23.
- FIG. 4 also shows the hinge 24, which enables the relative movement between the holding device 23 and the frame 18.
- the hinge 24 engages the base element 29.
- the holding device 23 can be fastened to the pivotable frame 18 via a fastening element 34, which also acts on the hinge 24.
- a holding device 23 is attached to the pivotable frame 18. As already mentioned, this holding device 23 engages the end 21 of the frame 18. In contrast to the exemplary embodiment shown, it is also possible to fasten the holding device 23 to the frame 18 at an end 35 opposite the end 21. Furthermore, it is possible to arrange a holding device 23 at both ends 21 and 35. In the sense of the invention, it is also possible to arrange a holding device 23 on the frame 18 as well as on the rear wall 14 of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet 10.
- optical waveguide distribution cabinet With the aid of the optical waveguide distribution cabinet according to the invention, particularly gentle handling of the cables guiding the optical glass fibers or the optical waveguides is possible with unrestricted freedom of movement of the frame pivotably arranged in the optical waveguide distribution cabinet.
- Optical fiber distribution cabinet housing spar spar rear spar spar front frame swivel axis area end guide rail holding device hinge pulling device end point end base element holding element receiving space receiving space opening fastening element end
