Definitions
- the invention relates to elevator systems with a plurality of individually movable elevator cars and a method for operating such elevator systems.
- Each elevator system occupies a certain amount of space in a building depending on the traffic volume.
- the performance of an elevator installation can be expressed by the so-called handling capacity.
- the handling capacity indicates how many people can be transported per minute in an office building when there is a high volume of traffic, for example at the beginning of a working day.
- the double deck cabin is an elevator car with two passenger compartments arranged one above the other.
- Such a double-decker cabin when stopped in an entry zone of the elevator installation, can be simultaneously loaded / unloaded from two floors. This significantly improves the handling capacity.
- an approach with double deck cabins also brings disadvantages.
- such an elevator system is not flexible, since on the one hand always the entire double deck cabin must be transported, even if only a lower transport capacity is required and on the other hand always both cabin decks interrupt their journey when passengers on the one cabin deck must be stopped on a floor ,
- the decking distance of the double deck cabin must take into account the floor clearance. Often, the distance between floors is not the same, which requires complex measures in the double deck cabin.
- the invention is based on the fact that the relatively time-consuming process of loading and unloading the elevator cars can take place so that at least two elevator cars can be loaded / unloaded more or less simultaneously. At the same time, however, a high degree of flexibility in providing and moving the elevator cars is made possible by the use of several elevator cars which are individually driven or drivable and thus can move independently of one another in the elevator installation.
- An additional increase in the handling capacity can be achieved by providing two or more elevator shafts instead of just one elevator shaft, which is operated as a two-way shaft, which allow a spatially separate up and down transportation of the elevator cars.
- FIG. 1 A first embodiment of the invention is described in connection with FIG.
- the elevator installation 20 comprises at least one vertical elevator shaft 11.1.
- n 3 juxtaposed vertical elevator shafts 11.1, 11.2 and 11.3 are provided.
- the vertical elevator shafts 11.1, 11.2 and 11.3 may, but need not, be spatially separated.
- a total of five floors 13.1 - 13.5 are served.
- Within the elevator shafts 11.1, 11.2 and 11.3 are several individually movable elevator cars 16.1 - 16.8.
- at least one transition zone 12.1 is provided in the area below a boarding zone 17.1, which allows the elevator cars 16.1-16.8 to be moved between the elevator shafts 11.1, 11.2 and 11.3.
- the entry zone 17.1 can also be located, for example, in the area of a main entrance, a main entrance, or an entrance hall (main lobby).
- the opened doors are shown in black.
- the two elevator cars 16.5 and 16.6 form a temporary multi-deck arrangement in order to accelerate the loading / unloading process.
- it is concretely a temporary double-deck arrangement.
- the elevator installation 20 can now be operated as follows: If required, for example at times when there is an increased need for transportation, two elevator cars 16.5, 16.6 are simultaneously provided in the area of the entry zone 17.1 of the elevator shaft 11.1 for immediate loading / unloading.
- elevator cabins 16.7, 16.8 are preferably kept available in the area of the transition zone 12.1. Elevator cabs move after each, when elevator cars have left the boarding zone 17.1.
- an elevator car 16.4 has begun to move upwards in an elevator shaft 11.3, and the elevator car 16.7 moves from the transition zone 12.1 ago.
- the elevator car 16.8 moves into an area of the transition zone 12.1, which is located below the elevator shaft 11.1.
- Another elevator car 16.3 is located in the elevator shaft 11.1 in upward travel and an elevator car 16.2 is located in the elevator shaft 11.2 in downward direction.
- the elevator car 16.1 is currently undergoing a shaft change in the area of a transition zone 15.1.
- the transition zones 12.1, 15.1 are designed so that the elevator cars can be moved horizontally individually or together.
- at least one transition zone is provided, the height of which is designed so that two elevator cars can be moved in a temporary double-deck arrangement, which leads to a further acceleration of the shaft change, in particular because in temporary double deck Arrangement shifted elevator cars in this arrangement can be jointly introduced into an elevator shaft 11.1 and provided there.
- first elevator car 16.5 retracts a distance which is at least as great as the distance to be covered by the second elevator car 16.6. It is also important to ensure that the first elevator car 16.5 moves at least as fast as the second elevator car 16.6 to avoid collisions.
- An elevator system with several individually driven elevator cabins operating in double deck operation could also be operated in two-way operation. In this mode, the elevator cars always move in the same elevator shaft, both up and down. For such an operation, no transition zone is required.
- a temporary multi-deck arrangement is provided when an increased demand for transport is expected or when an increased demand for transport is recognized.
- An elevator shaft is an area of a building which is designed for the vertical up and / or down movement of elevator cars.
- Eleator shaft it has to be considered that a spatial separation between the individual elevator shafts of an elevator installation is not mandatory.
- the invention can be transferred to elevator systems with spatially separated or unseparated elevator shafts.
- the elevator cars are individually movable.
- the individual mobility can be realized in various ways, and there are several embodiments of such elevator systems known from the prior art, which can be used in connection with the invention.
- the elevator installation has more than one elevator shaft, it is advantageous if the elevator cars can be moved from one elevator shaft into another elevator shaft.
- the elevator shafts and the elevator cars must be designed so that the latter can be moved horizontally between the elevator shafts in addition to the vertical mobility or can automatically perform a horizontal displacement.
- entry level zones Two or more access areas arranged one above the other are called entry level zones.
- the ground floor and an additional floor above or below the parterre are regarded as an entry zone, since here, depending on the layout of the entire building, a particularly large volume of traffic prevails.
- the boarding zone can also be located in the area of a single floor, for example a Schohts, a main entrance or a lobby (main lobby), with stairs or moving walks of a Main access level to one or more access areas.
- a first staircase leads to a first floor 13.2 and there to an elevator car placed in the elevator shaft 11.1 16.5 and a second staircase leads into a first basement 13.1 to an elevator car 16.1 placed in the same elevator shaft 11.1.
- the corresponding floors are referred to together as the entry zone 17.1 within the meaning of the invention.
- An entry zone can also be arranged in another area of an elevator installation, for example in the upper shaft area. There may also be several entry zones in an elevator system.
- the access areas do not have to correspond to the floors of the building. It is also conceivable that the loading / unloading of the elevator cars of a temporary multi-deck arrangement takes place via intermediate floors, ramps or the like.
- exit zone and "entry level” is synonymous synonymous for exit zones, respectively levels apply.
- loading should also include unloading.
- access area should also include exit areas.
- the direction of travel in the individual elevator shafts does not have to be fixed.
- the invention can also be applied to elevator installations which have a fixed allocation of the upward and downward shafts.
- the invention is essentially independent of the position and arrangement of the access openings, or the doors.
- the doors in Figures 2 to 6 may be in the drawing plane or in another plane perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.
- the invention can be used particularly advantageously if n ⁇ 2 elevator shafts are provided. Further advantageous is an elevator installation which has at least one transition zone for horizontal displacement of the elevator cars.
- FIG. 2 Arrangement and operation of an elevator system 20 according to the invention are shown in FIG. 2, wherein only the basic elements are shown.
- Within the elevator shafts 11.1 - 11.3 are several individually movable elevator cars 16.1 - 16.6, which are currently in use.
- An elevator car 16.7 does not move at the moment and thus blocks the elevator shaft 11.3 (marked by driving prohibition symbol 18).
- the elevator car 16.7 blocks the elevator shaft 11.3.
- the traffic must now be handled in the two remaining elevator shafts 11.1, 11.2, influenced by a suitable elevator control system.
- the elevator shaft 11.1 serves as an upward shaft and the elevator shaft 11.2 as a downward shaft.
- a temporary multi-deck arrangement of elevator cars 16.5 and 16.6 is assembled in the area of access zone 17.1. Temporarily serve the immediate One above the other floors 13.1 and 13.3 together as an entry zone 17.1 This can be displayed by appropriate signaling in the access openings 14.1, 14.2.
- the elevator car 16.4 moves to the position previously occupied by the elevator car 16.5.
- the elevator car 16.2 will shortly later move up to the position previously occupied by the elevator car 16.6.
- the elevator installation 20 has three elevator shafts 11.1 - 11.3. Below the floor 13.1 two transition zones 12.1 and 12.2 are arranged. Another transition zone 15.1 is located at the upper end of the shaft. Again, the elevator shaft 11.3 is blocked (marked by the driving prohibition symbol 18). Two elevator cabs 16.5 and 16.6 are ready for loading / unloading. Two further elevator cars 16.4 and 16.8 are moved horizontally under the elevator shaft 11.1, in order then to be able to move up as quickly as possible after the elevator cars 16.5, 16.6 have been moved away individually or in a double-deck arrangement.
- the two elevator cars 16.4 and 16.8 can be brought into a Nachschreibposition to accelerate the move-up.
- the transition zones 12.1, 12.2 are designed so that the introduction into the vertical elevator shaft 11.1 is quick.
- a special mechanical device can be provided, which lifts the two elevator cars 16.4 and 16.8 from the Nachschreibposition and passes into the elevator shaft 11.1.
- the embodiment shown in FIG. 3 may preferably be designed so that two elevator cars in the multi-deck arrangement can be moved together horizontally, which leads to a further increase in the handling capacity.
- the elevator installation 20 again has three elevator shafts 11.1 - 11.3.
- the floors 13.1, 13.2 serve at the same time as transition zones and as entry zone 17.1.
- the elevator cars 16.7, 16.8 are already in a Nachschreibposition.
- This embodiment is particularly advantageous if there is not enough space for one or more transition zones below the elevator shafts.
- the change mechanism is designed so that a quick change of the elevator cars from the Vietnameseschreibposition is possible in the elevator shaft 11.1.
- Particularly preferred is a variant in which two elevator cars in the multi-deck arrangement can be moved together horizontally.
- FIG. 5 an elevator system 20 is shown, which is designed analogously to the elevator system shown in Fig. 3.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to elevator systems with a plurality of individually movable elevator cars and a method for operating such elevator systems.
Each elevator system occupies a certain amount of space in a building depending on the traffic volume. The greater the volume of traffic and the higher the building, the more space the elevator system needs in relation to the usable area (net usable area) of the building. The performance of an elevator installation can be expressed by the so-called handling capacity. The handling capacity indicates how many people can be transported per minute in an office building when there is a high volume of traffic, for example at the beginning of a working day.
It is a major concern to minimize the space requirement of a lift installation.
There are various approaches for providing and operating more than just one elevator car in an elevator shaft, for arranging a plurality of parallel elevator shafts of an elevator installation, and for changing the shaft of the elevator cars from one elevator shaft into another elevator shaft.
It is a disadvantage of the known lifts with several elevator shafts that the shaft change is mechanically very complex and often proceeds slowly. This limits the amount of traffic handled by the handling capacity.
From the European patent application, which was published under the number EP 1367018-A2, an elevator system with several elevator cars is known, which have a self-sufficient, cabin-side linear drive, which allows the elevator cars independently in the vertical direction in the elevator shafts to move. The elevator cars are designed so that a transverse displacement can be accomplished reliably.
There are known conventional elevator systems, which are equipped to increase the handling capacity with a so-called double-deck cabin. The double deck cabin is an elevator car with two passenger compartments arranged one above the other. Such a double-decker cabin, when stopped in an entry zone of the elevator installation, can be simultaneously loaded / unloaded from two floors. This significantly improves the handling capacity. However, it has been found that an approach with double deck cabins also brings disadvantages. Thus, such an elevator system is not flexible, since on the one hand always the entire double deck cabin must be transported, even if only a lower transport capacity is required and on the other hand always both cabin decks interrupt their journey when passengers on the one cabin deck must be stopped on a floor , In addition, the decking distance of the double deck cabin must take into account the floor clearance. Often, the distance between floors is not the same, which requires complex measures in the double deck cabin.
It is a disadvantage of the known elevator systems with several elevator cars that run in a shaft that the transport capacity is limited by a relatively small number of elevator cars traveling per unit time away from a main station. The maximum achievable number of elevator cars traveling per unit time is limited, inter alia, by the time required for opening and closing the doors and for the passengers getting in and out.
It is in view of the known arrangements an object of the present invention to provide an elevator installation and a corresponding method which reduce or completely avoid the disadvantages of the prior art.
It is a particular object of the invention to provide an elevator installation and a corresponding method in which the handling capacity, based on a surface or room unit of a building, is higher than in known approaches.
The object is achieved by the features of
Advantageous developments of the inventive method are defined by the dependent claims 2 to 7, and those of the elevator system according to the invention by the dependent claims 9 to 14.
The invention is based on the fact that the relatively time-consuming process of loading and unloading the elevator cars can take place so that at least two elevator cars can be loaded / unloaded more or less simultaneously. At the same time, however, a high degree of flexibility in providing and moving the elevator cars is made possible by the use of several elevator cars which are individually driven or drivable and thus can move independently of one another in the elevator installation.
An additional increase in the handling capacity can be achieved by providing two or more elevator shafts instead of just one elevator shaft, which is operated as a two-way shaft, which allow a spatially separate up and down transportation of the elevator cars.

A first embodiment of the invention is described in connection with FIG. There is an
According to the invention, the two elevator cars 16.5 and 16.6 form a temporary multi-deck arrangement in order to accelerate the loading / unloading process. In the present example, it is concretely a temporary double-deck arrangement.
The
Die Aufzugskabine 16.1 vollzieht gerade einen Schachtwechsel im Bereich einer Wechselzone 15.1.Further elevator cabins 16.7, 16.8 are preferably kept available in the area of the transition zone 12.1. Elevator cabs move after each, when elevator cars have left the boarding zone 17.1. In the exemplary embodiment shown, an elevator car 16.4 has begun to move upwards in an elevator shaft 11.3, and the elevator car 16.7 moves from the transition zone 12.1 ago. The elevator car 16.8 moves into an area of the transition zone 12.1, which is located below the elevator shaft 11.1. Another elevator car 16.3 is located in the elevator shaft 11.1 in upward travel and an elevator car 16.2 is located in the elevator shaft 11.2 in downward direction. The elevator car 16.1 is currently undergoing a shaft change in the area of a transition zone 15.1.
The transition zones 12.1, 15.1 are designed so that the elevator cars can be moved horizontally individually or together. In order to enable a common horizontal displacement, preferably at least one transition zone is provided, the height of which is designed so that two elevator cars can be moved in a temporary double-deck arrangement, which leads to a further acceleration of the shaft change, in particular because in temporary double deck Arrangement shifted elevator cars in this arrangement can be jointly introduced into an elevator shaft 11.1 and provided there.
If two or more elevator cars form a temporary multi-deck arrangement, it is important that when conveying the two elevator cars it is noted that the first of the two elevator cars 16.5 moves to a first destination floor that is above a second destination floor that is from the second both elevator cars is approached 16.6. In other words, the first elevator car 16.5 retracts a distance which is at least as great as the distance to be covered by the second elevator car 16.6. It is also important to ensure that the first elevator car 16.5 moves at least as fast as the second elevator car 16.6 to avoid collisions.
An elevator system with several individually driven elevator cabins operating in double deck operation could also be operated in two-way operation. In this mode, the elevator cars always move in the same elevator shaft, both up and down. For such an operation, no transition zone is required.
By using a temporary multi-deck arrangement, the handling capacity is significantly improved without impairing the flexibility of the elevator system.
Advantageously, a temporary multi-deck arrangement is provided when an increased demand for transport is expected or when an increased demand for transport is recognized.
It is an advantage of the invention that the provision of two or more elevator cars in the temporary multi-deck arrangement can also be terminated at any time and normal operation can be carried out with individually loading / unloading and individually moving elevator cars.
In the following, some of the terms used are specified more precisely before further embodiments of the invention are dealt with.
An elevator shaft is an area of a building which is designed for the vertical up and / or down movement of elevator cars. When designing the term "elevator shaft", however, it has to be considered that a spatial separation between the individual elevator shafts of an elevator installation is not mandatory. The invention can be transferred to elevator systems with spatially separated or unseparated elevator shafts.
According to the invention, the elevator cars are individually movable. The individual mobility can be realized in various ways, and there are several embodiments of such elevator systems known from the prior art, which can be used in connection with the invention.
If the elevator installation has more than one elevator shaft, it is advantageous if the elevator cars can be moved from one elevator shaft into another elevator shaft. For this purpose, the elevator shafts and the elevator cars must be designed so that the latter can be moved horizontally between the elevator shafts in addition to the vertical mobility or can automatically perform a horizontal displacement. Again, there are some examples from the prior art, which will not be discussed in detail, since the horizontal displacement is not essential to the invention.
Two or more access areas arranged one above the other are called entry level zones. In the present description, the ground floor and an additional floor above or below the parterre are regarded as an entry zone, since here, depending on the layout of the entire building, a particularly large volume of traffic prevails. However, the boarding zone can also be located in the area of a single floor, for example a Haupthts, a main entrance or a lobby (main lobby), with stairs or moving walks of a Main access level to one or more access areas.
In an elevator installation according to FIG. 1, it is conceivable, for example, that from a ground floor located between the floors 13.1 and 13.2-not shown in FIG. 1-a first staircase leads to a first floor 13.2 and there to an elevator car placed in the elevator shaft 11.1 16.5 and a second staircase leads into a first basement 13.1 to an elevator car 16.1 placed in the same elevator shaft 11.1. The corresponding floors are referred to together as the entry zone 17.1 within the meaning of the invention. An entry zone can also be arranged in another area of an elevator installation, for example in the upper shaft area. There may also be several entry zones in an elevator system.
The access areas do not have to correspond to the floors of the building. It is also conceivable that the loading / unloading of the elevator cars of a temporary multi-deck arrangement takes place via intermediate floors, ramps or the like.
The term "entry zone" and "entry level" is synonymous synonymous for exit zones, respectively levels apply. Of course, the term loading should also include unloading. The term access area should also include exit areas.
According to the invention, the direction of travel in the individual elevator shafts does not have to be fixed. By means of a traffic-dependent elevator control system, an elevator installation with n = 5 elevator shafts can be controlled such that more elevator shafts are provided in the morning for the upward movement of the elevator cars than for the downward movement. In the evening, more downward than upward shafts can be provided. However, the invention can also be applied to elevator installations which have a fixed allocation of the upward and downward shafts.
The invention is essentially independent of the position and arrangement of the access openings, or the doors. The doors in Figures 2 to 6 may be in the drawing plane or in another plane perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.
The invention can be used particularly advantageously if n≥2 elevator shafts are provided. Further advantageous is an elevator installation which has at least one transition zone for horizontal displacement of the elevator cars.
Arrangement and operation of an
The advantages of the invention will be described with reference to an (exceptional) situation, which is indicated in FIG. In the example shown, the elevator car 16.7 blocks the elevator shaft 11.3. The traffic must now be handled in the two remaining elevator shafts 11.1, 11.2, influenced by a suitable elevator control system. The elevator shaft 11.1 serves as an upward shaft and the elevator shaft 11.2 as a downward shaft. In order to be able to continue to ensure sufficient handling capacity, a temporary multi-deck arrangement of elevator cars 16.5 and 16.6 is assembled in the area of access zone 17.1. Temporarily serve the immediate One above the other floors 13.1 and 13.3 together as an entry zone 17.1 This can be displayed by appropriate signaling in the access openings 14.1, 14.2.
As soon as the elevator cars 16.5 and 16.6 have left the boarding zone 17.1, the elevator car 16.4 moves to the position previously occupied by the elevator car 16.5. The elevator car 16.2 will shortly later move up to the position previously occupied by the elevator car 16.6.
Another, similar embodiment will be explained with reference to FIG. 3, which will be discussed only to the extent that this figure differs from the previous figures. The
The embodiment shown in FIG. 3 may preferably be designed so that two elevator cars in the multi-deck arrangement can be moved together horizontally, which leads to a further increase in the handling capacity.
A further, similar embodiment will be explained with reference to FIG. 4, which will be discussed only to the extent that this figure differs from the previous figures. The
In Fig. 5, an
It is important in the case of an evacuation that the elevator control system is intelligently designed to provide as quickly as possible a large transport capacity depending on the situation. Preferably, an appropriate optical signaling is used in an emergency situation in order to handle the loading / unloading of the elevator cars safely and quickly. In addition, acoustic signals can be used.
Autonomous linear drives are preferably used for vertically moving the elevator cars. An exemplary technical realization for the horizontal displacement of the elevator cars can be found in the publication EP 1367018-A2.
Instead of having a self-sufficient cabin-side linear drive, the elevator cars can also be provided with a friction wheel drive, gear drive, rack drive or the like.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the
According to a preferred embodiment, the control system of the elevator installation is designed such that at least one of the elevator cars of a temporary multi-deck arrangement can execute a long-distance journey in which this elevator cabin passes several floors without stopping. It makes sense to use that elevator car for long-distance journeys, which is the uppermost in the upward shaft and the lowest elevator car of the temporary multi-deck arrangement in the downward shaft.
It is an advantage of the approach according to the invention that it can be expanded as desired and used in a wide variety of elevator systems. Thus, according to the invention, several floors can be accommodated in the area of the access zone 17.1, in which case more than two elevator cars form a temporary multi-deck arrangement.
It is an advantage of the invention that the handling capacity related to the building surface occupied by the elevator installation can be increased compared to conventional elevator installations.
According to the invention, the handling capacity per elevator shaft is maximized and the required shaft volume related to the traffic performance is minimized.
It is a further advantage of the invention that in an elevator installation with several elevator shafts in the event of the failure of an elevator shaft, residual availability can be ensured, which lies above the availability of a conventional elevator installation.
To counteract the disadvantage that the passengers on two different floors or access areas must get on and off, special supportive measures to be hit. For example, an optimally informing signaling may be provided and / or escalators or moving walks may be used to bring passengers to the respective access areas.
Preferably, the elevator control system is provided with a destination call function which allows each passenger to be assigned to the multideck arrangement elevator car according to his / her individual destination and to be routed by means of signaling provided for stopping on the desired floor. With the thus possible destination-dependent assignment of the passengers to an approaching the desired destination elevator car of the multi-deck arrangement is achieved that the individual targets driving each elevator cars of the multi-deck arrangement hinder each other as little as possible on their journey.
There are provided according to the invention, an elevator system and a method that allow good flow rates at a reasonable construction cost. The invention offers a great deal of flexibility, since in case of need several elevator cars can be provided together.
The more changeover zones are provided, the more flexible the traffic concept of the elevator installation can be designed, on the other hand, of course, the space requirement increases.
The waiting times in front of the elevator shafts and the dwell time in the elevator cars are shorter for the passengers by the invention. The construction costs can be reduced compared to conventional approaches.
