Definitions
- the invention relates to a mine-protected tank trough structure with a in particular the underside of the armored vehicle protective bottom plate.
- Land mines are linked to one due to their extremely high destructive power frequent occurrences in crisis and war zones is a major threat to vehicles and their crew. Especially in peacekeeping operations the The probability of picking up mines is high, even in lightly armored Vehicles have the highest requirements for protection against landmines.
- Older vehicles with low or insufficient mine protection usually become retrofitted with mudguards which are screwed to the bottom of the floor. This design has the disadvantage that a high weight expenditure arises, and thereby Both payload and mobility are significantly reduced.
- the essential mode of action of blast mines against armored structures is based on an extreme gas pressure, which almost like a bullet the armored structure loaded. As the pressure wave expands three-dimensionally, the energy density decreases Increasing distance from strong, and the pressure cone loses its effect.
- the welds are the main vulnerability, because on the one hand technology-related lower strength than the steel armor and on the other hand by the welding process in the heat affected zone comes to a hardening, as the inner notch the basic material in this area embrittled and thus prone to cracking against the sudden stress of the Detonation pressure during a mine explosion.
- the unavoidable Welded seams the technology-related significantly lower strength than the have connecting armor plates, and caused by the welding process Curing areas in the heat affected zone in areas with already reduced To lay effect of the detonation pressure, and by additional mudguards to relieve the weld over the welds. Moreover, should allowing free expansion of the detonation pressure.
- FIGS. 1 to 4 schematically show various protective plates and FIG. 5 represents a perspective view of an armored vehicle from below.
- Fig. 1 shows a trained as a protective sheet 1 weld cover, the According to the invention, a weld seam 4 between the side wall 2 and bottom plate. 3 covers, wherein both the bottom-side leg of the mudguard 1 and the sidewall-side legs welded or preferably can be glued to to prevent additional hardening areas. It is essential that the Heat affected zone of the weld 4 is sufficiently covered to the support effect the weld seam cover opposite the metallurgical notch Heat affected zone of the weld 4 to be optimally effective.
- an apron 5 is mounted inside, wherein the same Mechanisms of action as in the external attachment come into play.
- Fig. 3 shows an embodiment with both an inner fender 5 and a outer fender 1, wherein to a better support effect and to avoid constructive notches the overlap length of the legs inside and outside can be different.
- Fig. 4 shows a preferred embodiment of the invention, in which to increase the Mass effectiveness of armor Additional armor plates 13 in the vehicle floor be used.
- This additional armor plates 13 are in guide rails fourteenth guided.
- the guide rails 14 are connected to the side wall 2.
- these guide rails are in regions of the welds 4 attached and by their shape, their strength and their method of attachment the side wall 2 in an analogous embodiment as described above executed so that they also serve as a weld seam cover.
- the stable wheel suspension elements 6 are used here Fixing plates 7, which the direct blast effect of the explosion to the Wheel arch area 8 should partially prevent by the explosion blast dispel.
- the scattering plates 7 on the suspension elements 6 so attached so that the movement of the wheel 9 is not limited.
- any discontinuities in the bottom of the tank which are necessary for the protected guidance of propulsion and suspension components may be required with the vehicle floor panel 11 overlapping cover plates 10 protected.
- the wheel well 8 is a large area covered to the detonation blast only in much attenuated form in the vulnerable wheel arch area (8) to penetrate.
- the spring dome 12 in the form of a externally open structure formed, which gives the blast a lowest possible attack surface offers and also gives him the possibility of its effectiveness through expansion dismantle. This is shown in the left part of FIG. 5.
- fenders covering the welds can also be applied if the wheel arches have no structure open to the outside, and vice versa.
