Definitions
- the invention relates to a glazing of at least two juxtaposed multiple glass panes, each consisting of at least two mutually parallel and spaced individual glass panes and are held at the lower and upper edges by profiles of wood, metal, plastic or the like.
- Such glazings are e.g. known from the patent BE 1 012 820 A3.
- the multiple glass panes are held by metal or wood profiles on the floor and ceiling;
- the vertical edges of the multiple glass panes are bordered by such profiles and connected to each other, so that there is a kind of frame construction for the glass panes.
- This has the disadvantage that it not only hinders the view of the glazing, but also requires an increased design effort.
- the invention has the object of providing a glazing of the type described above in such a way that the overall impression of a glass surface achieved with the glazing is optically uninterrupted and that the stiffening between the consisting of at least two individual glass panes multiple glass panes is achieved by simple technical means.
- the solution to this problem is characterized in that the formation of a respective vertical gap adjacent individual glass panes with respect to the spaced individual glass panes are supported by an over the entire height of the individual glass panes and at right angles to these extending glass blade, which is slightly stronger than the gap formed and held by a simultaneously causing a seal adhesive.
- the great advantage is achieved that the glass surface is no longer interrupted by the profiles of wood or metal between the vertical joints of the multiple glass panes, but that the multiple glass panes abut each other almost immediately. They form a slight vertical gap, in which perpendicular to the individual glass panes extending glass swords are arranged, which are held by a simultaneously causing a seal adhesive.
- the stiffening of the glazing is thus carried out by glass swords, which only together with the adhesive represent a negligible interruption of the overall impression of the glass surface, which is based on the different light reflection.
- the glass wall according to the invention is no longer interrupted at the vertical joints of the multiple glass panes by different materials.
- the gluing of the individual glass panes with the stiffening glass swords is done successively by an adhesive, which also causes a seal.
- an adhesive a preferably transparent silicone is used, so that the already small limitation of the overall effect of the glazing is further reduced.
- the glass vanes are made slightly stronger than the gap between the individual panes of glass.
- the adhesive thus fills the gap between the individual glass panes and the small space between the individual panes of glass and the glass bar, without entering the gap of the multiple panes.
- edges of the individual glass panes and / or the glass swords are provided with a chamfer. Create these chamfers a limited volume for the penetration of the adhesive and prevent at the same time an uncontrolled outflow into the space between the multiple glass panes.
- the glazing according to the invention can also be designed as fire-resistant glazing in that each multi-pane glass pane is formed from three individual glass panes, the middle of which is designed as a fire-resistant glass pane.
- the support is done in this case by means of two glass swords.
- This embodiment of a glazing according to the invention for fire-resistant glazing has the advantage that, in spite of the use of a fire-resistant glass pane, preferably with a greater thickness, it acts visually like a continuous glass wall. Since the glazing without metal or wood profiles is held on the vertical joints, there is an increased fire safety.
- the glazing thus follows a predetermined by the elastic deformability of the glass radius or arc, so that not only flat but also curved glass walls can be made.
- the glazing of the invention results in a simple design effort for the stiffening a visually particularly favorable effect, since the vertical joints of the adjacent multiple glass panes visually in the background and represent a quasi-continuous glazing.
- the glazing shown in the drawing of at least two multiple glass panes 1 are held at the top and bottom, horizontal edge in profiles that can be made of wood, metal, plastic or similar material. These profiles are not shown in the drawing.
- the multiple glass panes 1 consist of two mutually parallel and spaced individual glass panes 1a and 1b.
- the second embodiment according to Fig. 2 shows two individual glass panes 1, which consist of three individual glass panes 1a, 1b and 1c.
- the held by the profiles on the horizontal edges of individual glass panes 1a and 1b or 1a, 1b and 1c are characterized in that in the embodiment according to Fig. 1 a glass sword 2 and in the embodiment according to Fig. 2 two glass blades 2a and 2b are arranged. These glass blades 2 and 2a and 2b extend over the entire height of the individual glass panes 1a, 1b and 1c and are arranged at right angles to these.
- an adhesive 3 is introduced.
- it is a transparent silicone, which causes not only a bonding of the items, but also a seal of these items.
- both the individual glass panes 1a, 1b and 1c as also the Glass swords 2 and 2a and 2b provided with chamfers 1d and 2c.
- a defined spatial shape of the gap 4 is created, which allows a targeted penetration of the adhesive 3 in the gap 4, but prevents leakage of the adhesive 3 in the interstices 5.
- Fig. 2 shows, the average individual glass panes 1c, which have a larger pane thickness, designed as fire-resistant glass panes.
- the elimination of profiles made of wood or metal and their replacement by the glass blades 2a and 2b results in a construction that is particularly well protected against fire, since no parts of the glazing can warp or burn due to the effects of heat.
- the glazings represented by the two exemplary embodiments provide an overall impression of the glass surface which is only insignificantly impaired by the stiffeners, since these likewise consist of glass or of transparent silicone. These have different reflections result, but no interruption of the glass effect of the glazing.
- the bonding of the individual glass panes 1a and 1b or 1a, 1b and 1c to the stiffening serving glass vanes 2 and 2a and 2b results in a particularly simple construction, so that in addition to the good optical effect and an inexpensive production of the glazing is possible.
Description
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
Fig. 1 und Fig. 2 zu erkennen.
