Definitions

  • the invention relates to a piece of furniture with an at least partially or temporarily transparent, horizontal in functional position plate, which is supported by a support assembly.
  • a known table consists of a transparent glass plate which is fastened on a center column serving as a support arrangement.
  • the center column goes into a table base, by means of which the table is supported on a substrate.
  • Document DE-A-31 13 670 shows a chess computer formed as a table having a timer tube in a frame.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a piece of furniture of the type mentioned, which has an extended functionality.
  • the support assembly or the plate is associated with at least one movement, and that coupled with the clock mechanism time display means are positioned below or in the plate.
  • the corresponding horizontal plate thus in addition to the basically known storage or storage function at least one more function in that the plate is part of a clock assembly.
  • the inventive solution gives the piece of furniture the additional function of a clock, so that when viewing the piece of furniture, the time can be detected.
  • the term "transparency" in the sense of the invention is to be understood as meaning a range of light transmittance from a milk glass similarity to a complete transparency. It is essential that the time display means can be recognized outside the plate surface. In particular, mechanically movable hands for hours, minutes or seconds are provided as the time display means.
  • the invention provides to provide below or in the table top digital display, a liquid crystal display or the like. It is also alternatively provided to integrate time indication means in the plate. Thus, by electrical and physical means numbers or numbers in the transparent plate can be made visible.
  • a non-transparent plate in particular a colored glass plate
  • transparent a non-transparent plate in particular a colored glass plate
  • the coupling of the movement with the time display means can be done mechanically, electrically, electronically or in another way.
  • the movement itself can be mechanical, electromechanical, electric, electronic.
  • Particularly advantageous solution according to the invention for coffee tables can be used, in which due to the relatively low plate height by viewing the corresponding table top, the time can be detected while sitting by appropriately grouped around the coffee table people.
  • an application of the invention is also provided in other pieces of furniture, in particular in the form of bedside tables, dressers, showcases or office furniture.
  • the movement is integrated in the support assembly.
  • the integration of a movement in the support assembly is understood to mean both the spatial installation of a movement in corresponding parts or portions of the support assembly and the cultivation of a clockwork or a housing for the movement to corresponding parts or portions of the support assembly.
  • the support arrangement may in particular comprise a frame with one or more frame legs or also a central base with at least one upwardly projecting support column.
  • an at least partially mechanical movement is provided, and as a time display means a minute hand and an hour hand are rotatably mounted about a central axis of rotation in at least one plane parallel to the plate below and coupled to the movement.
  • the plate forms the "watch glass", because through the plate, the hands can be viewed, which rotate in their horizontal plane time-dependent. Because the pointers are in a common or different Rotate horizontal planes, the load on corresponding bearings of the hands is dependent on gravity in each position of the pointer.
  • the support assembly on a coaxial with the axis of rotation support column on which the minute hand and the hour hand are stored.
  • the two pointers have corresponding ring-shaped or sleeve-shaped bearing elements which coaxially enclose the support column.
  • the movement is arranged centrally in the region of the support column, in particular integrated in a base region of the support column.
  • the movement is preferably mechanically coupled by means of appropriate transmission elements with the hour hand and the minute hand to initiate the time-dependent rotational movement of both hands.
  • the plate is provided with tuned to the trajectories of the minute hand and the hour hand time marks.
  • time markers are in particular both numbers or numbers and simple line, dot or line markers to understand that allow orientation for the assignment of the pointer states at the appropriate times.
  • the plate performs a multiple function by providing - as compared to a conventional clock - both the time-indicating means protecting the watch glass and the orientation-forming dial.
  • the plate has the usual Abstell- or storage functions, as they are known from a conventional table top.
  • At least the minute hand or the hour hand are formed by asymmetrically projecting from the support column space profiles, which are arranged one above the other and envelop the support column over its height.
  • the support column is preferably completely hidden by the pointer profiles, so that the pointer profiles when viewed optically be regarded as plate or table legs. This results in a continuously changing table image depending on the time-dependent rotation of the pointer profiles.
  • the asymmetrical arrangement is preferably understood to mean an eccentric arrangement of the at least one pointer profile.
  • the minute hand and the hour hand are formed by asymmetrically projecting from the support column room profiles, which are arranged one above the other and envelop the support column over its height.
  • the space profiles i. the hands, visually the central plate column.
  • hollow space profiles are provided as room profiles.
  • the clockwork is associated with an energy source which is attached to the support assembly.
  • an energy source in particular an electrical energy source such as batteries, batteries or a power grid connection is provided.
  • a solar cell arrangement is provided as the energy source.
  • drive transmission means are provided between the hands and corresponding output shafts of the movement.
  • the drive transmission means serve to enable the time signals to be converted from the movement to the hands even if the hands and the movement are provided at a greater spatial distance from one another.
  • this embodiment is particularly advantageous when the movement is housed in a base of the support assembly. Because in this case, the pointers, regardless of whether they are located immediately below the plate or spaced below the plate and stored, such a large distance to the arranged in the base clockwork that no additional drive transmission means no coupling between the movement and hands can be achieved is.
  • the drive transmission means to a mechanical transmission.

  • the drive transmission means have contactless effective transmission means.
  • magnet arrangements preferably permanent magnet arrangements, are provided as non-contact transmission means.
  • the magnet arrangements are preferably arranged at the level of the hands and provide the connection between transmission shafts, which are vertically aligned and are directly connected to the output shafts of the movement, and the laterally projecting pointers.
  • Transmission waves may be designed as hollow shafts or as solid waves depending on how they are arranged within the support assembly.
  • At least one pointer is designed as a flat profile. This makes it possible to provide only a small height for the rotational movement of the pointers available.
  • a dimensionally stable sheet-like arrangement is provided as part of the support arrangement, which is peripherally connected to an edge region of the plate.
  • the fabric arrangement on the one hand and the plate on the other hand thus form the boundary surfaces for the cavity in which the time-indicating means, in particular the hands, are arranged.
  • the dimensionally stable fabric arrangement serves to support the plate. If the dimensionally stable sheet-like arrangement has an at least partially transparent lower plate whose base area corresponds to the base of the plate, it is possible to obtain the supporting function of the piece of furniture, in particular of the table, for the plate largely invisible.
  • the dimensionally stable fabric arrangement can be curved flat or concave or be designed in a different manner plate or shell-like.
  • the lower plate is connected by means of a peripheral edge profile with the plate.
  • the peripheral edge profile as well as the plate and the lower plate is also made transparent.

  • the support bracket in the region of its free end face on a base plate which is glued to the underside of the glass plate. The glass plate thus creates an over the hands substantially free floating impression.
  • the table top is designed circular and is supported by a support column 3, which is designed as a hollow cylinder and is anchored on the bottom side in a standing up on a base base plate 4.
