Definitions

  • the invention relates to a kitchen tool for opening rotating lids of containers such as glasses and bottles according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Rotary lids are often e.g. Hard to open for older people.
  • the force necessary for opening is not available to some.
  • the necessary friction between the hand and the edge of the lid can often not be achieved without tools.
  • the movable jaw is expediently arranged on a jaw carrier which is movably mounted on a guide disk.
  • the jaw carrier with one acts advantageously over the Guide disk rotatable adjusting disk together such that the distance of the clamping jaw to the center can be changed by a relative rotation between the adjusting disk and the guide disk.
  • Such a rotary movement is very simple to carry out, so that even technically awkward people can adjust the lid opener to a specific radius of a rotary lid.
  • a rotary handle can be connected to the adjusting disk, or there can be two levers on the handle which can be pivoted relative to one another in the manner of forceps handles, the relative movement of which, e.g. via a gear drive, results in a relative movement of the guide disc and the adjusting disc.
  • the adjusting disk can also be connected to the handle and the guide disk can be made rotatable relative to the handle, the reverse configuration is nevertheless preferred. It is therefore advantageous to connect the guide disc to the handle. As a result, force can be transferred to the clamping jaws for unscrewing a rotating lid from the handle via the guide disk.
  • the jaw carrier is preferably linearly guided in a guide rail on the guide disc. But it can also be pivoted to the guide disc.
  • the clamping jaw can be arranged on a toothed swivel part.
  • the teeth of the pivoting part are in engagement with the teeth of a gear wheel of the adjusting disk.
  • a guide member is present on the jaw carrier which engages in a spiral guide on the adjusting disk. This allows both a training in which the Klem back carrier is pivotable and one in which it is translationally displaceable.
  • the guide parts of a plurality of jaw carriers engage in one and the same spiral guide. This allows a stronger formation of the channel walls of the spiral guide.
  • the spiral guides are not guided with the geometrically smallest possible inclination from the inside out. Nevertheless, the inclination is advantageously less on the outside than on the inside. Since the lid diameters are standardized, the spiral guide can be flatter in the areas in which the clamping jaws are at a suitable distance from the center in order to be able to grip a certain lid radius than in the other areas. In the other areas, there is no need for jamming between the guide part and the spiral guide, since they only have to be traversed to get from one standard cover radius to the next. It is therefore advantageous not to design the inclination of the spiral guide to be constant.
