Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for processing flat Consignments according to the preamble of claim 1, as e.g. from WO-A-00/53344.
  • the invention is based on the object, a generic To provide a method in which fixed identifiers of consignment containers into which the consignments from the terminals be reloaded by consignment sorting, the variable Destination addresses of the terminals are low-effort and secure be assigned to identify the identifiers for further process steps after sorting, e.g. automatic Application of a label or connection to a consignment container management system, can be used.
  • the object is achieved by a method having the features of claim 1.
  • an acknowledgment element for the presence of a mail item is provided for each buffer belonging to a terminal.
  • an empty container is reloaded in this buffer memory.
  • the identification identifier of the mail item container previously read by a reading device is assigned and stored to the destination address or the destination address range assigned by the current sorting plan of this terminal.
  • the consignment sorting system also has a complete or semi-automatic feeder for empty consignment containers on.
  • each with a reading device equipped for the identifiers of consignment containers Provide supply for the empty consignment containers.
  • a reading device equipped for the identifiers of consignment containers Provide supply for the empty consignment containers.
  • the terminals are the destination addresses according to the sorting plan of the assigned to next sort, so using from e.g. Separation cards without interruption with the next sorting pass can be started.
  • the consignment container removed for these transmissions from the buffer memory is and a new empty shipment container for the Shipments of the new sorting pass after reading its identification code located in the respective buffer memory, the corresponding switching element is twice in a row actuated, wherein by the first operation the presence of the consignment container is signaled in the buffer memory and by the second operation of the change of the assignment of Identification identifier for the new destination address takes place. It is also advantageous if at each terminal a signal generator is located, which by the correct actuation of the switching element when loading the buffer memory turned on and by one in each buffer memory Presence sensor when removing the mail item the buffer memory is switched off automatically. Thereby the surgeon can recognize the switching and assignment state and avoid mistakes.
  • each terminal 2 includes a buffer memory 4 for receiving a mailing container 5 with a fixed identification code 9, in which the transmissions 3 are reloaded from this terminal 2 when the terminal 2 is filled accordingly.
  • the buffer 4 are usually located below the terminals 2 and are preferred only for the transhipment operations and repacking with consignment containers 3 on telescopic rails in the position shown in the drawing for better explanation for all terminals 2.
  • a switching element 6 designed as a button
  • a signal generator 7 designed as a lighting element
  • a presence sensor 8 is arranged, which detects whether a mail item 5 is in the buffer memory 2 or not.
  • a feeder 10 for empty mail containers 5 with a plurality of feed points 11 is arranged at a distance that leaves enough space for the surgeons.
  • Each feed point 11 has a reading device 12 for the identification codes 9 of the mail item 3.
  • These identifiers 9 can be both optically readable barcodes and RFID tags.
  • the number of feeders 11 is determined depending on the number of terminals 2 so that the operator or operators have to travel as short distances as possible.
  • Each feed point 11 with the reading device 12 is assigned in this example a range of 4 terminals 2. Another reason for the division is the protection of the assignment of read identification 9 and terminal 2 or the corresponding destination address. To ensure this, the terminal areas and the associated reading devices 12 are also assigned to certain operators.
  • the reading device 12 is blocked after the reading of an identification code 9 until the next confirmation signal is triggered by the new presence of a mailing container 5 in a terminal 2 of this area.
  • the programs 3 are sorted into the terminals 2. If a terminal 2 is filled to approximately 2/3, then the relevant buffer memory 4 is pulled out, the programs 3 are reloaded from the terminal 2 in the mail item 5 in the buffer memory 4. Then, the mail container 5 is removed. The surgeon now removes the feeder 10 an empty container 5 at the corresponding feed 11, can read the identification code 9 of the reading device 12 and puts it in the empty buffer memory 4, in which signaled the signal generator 7 no container absence.
  • this assignment change is only made with respect to the identifiers 9 of the mailing container 5 for each terminal 2 when all mailings 3 of the previous sorting run of the terminal 2 have been reloaded into a mailing container 5 and this mailing container 5 has been removed.
  • the new empty mail container 5 has been removed after reading the identification code 9 of the feed 11 and placed in the respective buffer memory 4, there is a two-time operation of the relevant switching element 6 in a row.
  • the first operation signals the presence of the currently-read mail item 5 in the buffer memory 4 and the second operation has the new assignment of this terminal 2 to the destination address in accordance with the sorting plan of the new sorting sequence. This is done until all terminals have been processed. If no mailing 3 has been sorted during a sorting run into a specific terminal 2, terminal 2 and associated mailing container 5 are empty. In this case, the signal generator 7 is still lit and the switching element 6 must be pressed only once to perform the change to the new sorting plan.
