Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Scheinwerfer (1) insbesondere nach dem Projektionsprinzip, bei dem im Brennpunkt des Reflektors (2) eine Halbleiterlichtquelle (4) als Lichtquelle angeordnet ist, welche ausschließlich oder im wesentlichen Umfang infrarote Strahlung aussendet. Darüber hinaus ist der Scheinwerfer mit einem Kühlelement (5) versehen. Dieses Kühlelement (5) erstreckt sich von der Halbleiterlichtquelle (4) bis zu der transparenten Scheibe (3), durch welche das durch den Reflektor (2) reflektierte Licht ausgestrahlt wird, durchstößt die transparente Scheibe (3) und überragt diese. Durch diese Anordnung aus Halbleiterlichtquelle (4), Kühlelement (5) und transparente Scheibe (3) ist sichergestellt, dass eine wirksame Kühlung der Lichtquelle (4) gegeben ist. Zusätzlich ist durch die Anordnung und Gestalt des Kühlelements (5) sichergestellt, dass keine oder nur eine geringe Abschattung des reflektierten Lichtes durch das Kühlelement (5) gegeben ist. Dies führt zu einer hohen Lichtausbeute des erfindungsgemäßen Scheinwerfers (1) und zu einer langen Lebensdauer.
