Definitions
- the subject of the invention is a head of reversible spray, especially for spray gun spray.
- heads or nozzles of high pressure spray comprising an element rotary in the form of a key placed in a central body and crossed by a canal having a spray orifice and a seal ensuring the seal between the rotary element and the gun.
- the rotating element has in its part central a spherical shape able to collaborate with the seal placed inside the central body, the central part, being crossed by the canal at the end of which is the orifice of spray.
- These spray heads are in particular described in European patents No. 1192011 and No. (D98906788.9).
- These nozzles offer the advantage of being reversible, i.e. the rotating element is presenting as a key is in a position determined, ready to operate to perform the spray, and if you turn the key 180 °, reversing the flow of liquid then allows clean the nozzle and the duct in case it clogs.
- the so-called reversible nozzles are therefore particularly interesting, because in if they have to be cleaned, the operation is very simple and is achieved by simply turning the 180 ° rotating element. Reverse flow generally allows to unclog the conduit, and a further 180 ° rotation of the key returns the head to working position.
- the object of the invention is to try to at least partially delete this operation, and to have available on a spray head reversible two nozzles with angles of different spraying.
- the reversible spray head especially for spray gun, comprising a reversible element placed in a central body and crossed by a canal presenting to one of its ends a spray hole and a seal ensuring the seal between the rotary element and the pistol on which the central body is fixed, is characterized in that the element channel reversible has a spray orifice each of its ends.
- the presence of the two orifices of reverse spray placed at each end of the channel allows atomization of the spray product which reveals excellent and far superior to that which was obtained in the heads of the prior art.
- the spray head operation reversible according to the invention is therefore perfectly satisfactory and the spraying is such as during the tests, a spraying was observed high performance.
- the spray holes placed at each of ends of the channel include two inserts of spray placed in opposition, a joint sealing being disposed between the two inserts, the assembly formed by the two opposite inserts and the joint abutting on the one hand against a stop arranged at one end of the channel and being put under tension on the other hand by a screwed clamping ring at the other end of the canal.
- the two inserts can be aligned one relative to each other by means of an inner tube made of metal.
- the inserts forming the orifices of spray are made of tungsten carbide, and are cut in V, so as to obtain different angles and different flow rates.
- the seal placed between the two inserts opposite can be made of Teflon P T F T or a polyamide (nylon).
- the inserts are cut so that arrange one end of the channel at an angle of spray from 30 to 120 °, while at the other end of the channel, the spray angle will be an opening of 5 to 25 °.
- the element reversible in which the containing channel is placed the two spray holes is a key to cylindrical shape crossing the central body of the spray head, a 180 ° rotation of the key to go from a spray hole to the other.
- the element reversible in which the containing channel is placed the two spray holes is a key presenting at its central part a sphere introduced into the central body of the head, the channel crossing the sphere in the middle, a 180 ° rotation of the key to go from one spray hole to the other.
- the element reversible includes a support piece having a conical front part, into which is screwed an interior part with a rear part also conical, the angle of the cones of the parts front and rear of the element being the same, the two pieces enclosing a set formed of two opposite inserts separated by a joint.
- the two inserts can be aligned with each other by means an inner metal tube and two pieces having a frustoconical front and rear part can be made of metal and screwed glued one inside the other.
- Reversible parts frustoconical are intended to be used in pistols found on the market and in which simply unscrew the gun head, invert the reversible part, and screw the all.
- the head has at its upper part two pins placed at the periphery of the head and face to face above the upper surface of the head, the pins having slots for directing a additional air supply from the gun by through channels passing through the head, slots being arranged to atomize the main jet high pressure from the central nozzle of the insert.
- the slots are arranged to direct additional air on the ball which emerges from two to five millimeters from the top surface of the head.
- the head presents more to its part upper four additional air nozzles placed on either side of the main slot of the insert, the nozzles being connected to channels additional air supply, themselves in connection with an annular chamber supplied with air by the pistol so that a variation of air pressure exiting the nozzles allow hit the outgoing high pressure main beam insert and close said beam based increase in air pressure additional from the gun.
- Nozzles and channels can be arranged so that you can go from an angle of 90 to 120 ° of the beam coming from the insert (10) at a 30 ° angle.
- the nozzles can be arranged so as to allow to pass from a beam angle of 25 ° from the insert at an angle of 5 °.
- the drawing represents, by way of example, several modes of execution of the head of reversible spray according to the invention.
- the mode of execution represented in the Figures 1 to 6 includes a spray head High pressure "airless" 1 mounted on gun schematically represented in 2.
- Head 1 is secured to the pistol by means of a screw tightening 3.
- head 1 has a security guard 4 intended protect the user of the gun.
- a reversible key is introduced 5 which, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, is likely to turn in the head so as to occupy positions opposite 180 °.
- the figures 1 and 2 are shown for a key position 5 as shown in Figure 2, and the Figures 3 and 4 for a position of the key 5 turned 180 ° to the position of Figures 1 and 2.
- Figure 5 shows a section through key 5 of Figures 1 to 4.
- the key or reversible element 5 has in the middle a spherical part 8 crossed by a channel 9 crossing the spherical part right through go.
- channel 9 In channel 9 are inserted two inserts spray 10 and 11 placed in opposition, a seal 12 being positioned between the two inserts.
- the two inserts 10 and 11 placed in opposition are aligned with each other by means of a 13 stainless steel tube placed inside the formed assembly by the two inserts 10 and 11.
- the assembly formed by the two inserts 10 and 11 introduced into the channel 9 abuts its upper part against a constriction 14 of the canal and at the bottom of the canal, the whole of the two inserts is pressed against the throttle 14 by means of a clamping ring 15 screwed into the threaded lower part 16 of the channel 9.
- Inserts 10 and 11 are inserts classics made of tungsten carbide and cut in V so as to obtain different angles and different spray rates. As shown in the drawing of Figure 5, the insert 10 will be a insert allowing a spray flow under a large angle from 30 to 90 ° and insert 11 will be cut in V so as to obtain a more spray angle reduced from 5 to 20 °
- the spray head fitted with a key reversible similar to that described in Figures 1 to 5 can be advantageously used in the painting of boats, cars, planes etc, where surfaces have reinforcements or members. To squirt the big ones surfaces, the user then uses the large angle, and for reinforcements or members, can switch to the small spray angle with a simple key rotation.
- the skilled person sees immediately the many applications allowed by a head fitted with an element or a key reversible 5 according to the invention. These applications consist of all applications where apply paint or processing: in carpentry, carpentry, door frames, etc. Such a head can also be used for squirting putty in the automobile construction.
- spray head, element or key reversible and all constituent parts to with the exception of inserts can be made in ferrous or non-ferrous metal.
- the inserts, them will advantageously be made of carbide tungsten, and PTFE or Teflon seals in a polyamide (nylon).
- the head and constituent parts can also be made of plastic.
- an opening angle of the flow of 30 ° spray corresponds to a sweeping strip of 150mm, and with an opening angle of 90 °, we arrives at a 450mm spray strip. It is evident on the other hand, that spray holes can be made for other angles between 30 and 90 °. It is even possible to widen the beam of spraying up to 110-120 °.
- the reversible element or key 20 is an element cylindrical introduced into a head provided for this effect. Aside from the fact that the item or key reversible is cylindrical, all the constituents of this element 20 are the same as those described in look at Figure 5.
- the channel 9 crossing the key 20 the inserts 10 and 11 kept aligned by the tube 13, all of the inserts and the seal 12 being clamped against an annular shoulder 14 placed at the top of the channel by a ring 15 screwed into a threaded part 16 provided at the bottom of the channel.
- Both inserts 10 and 11 forming with the seal 12 a spray set will have the same angles the previous execution mode is to say a nozzle at the top presenting a spray opening of 30 to 90 °, and to the part lower nozzle with a spray angle from 5 to 20 °. It is obvious that the whole as well formed and having spray angles different will have in one or the other of uses the same flow. The user must therefore take this into account and have a speed of larger scan when using the smaller nozzle.
- the reversible element or key 30 comprises at its central part a sphere 31 crossed by a channel 32.
- channel 32 is introduced, as in the previous embodiments, the two inserts 10 and 11 tightened by a joint 12, and aligned by a tube metallic 13.
- the assembly thus formed comes abut on the upper part of the sphere 31 against an annular throttle 14, the assembly being clamped by a ring 15 screwed into a bore threaded 16 practiced at the bottom of channel 19.
- inserts with opening angles ranging from 30 to 90 °, respectively from 5 to 20 ° you can choose at the upper part an insert of 90 ° or more, and at the lower part an insert with an angle opening of 20 °.
- the use of air additional fitted to the TRI-A heads will allow choose any spray angle between 5 ° and 120 °.
- This ring is intended to tighten the element 50, which can thus be easily turned 180 ° in the when the pistol front ring is unscrewed.
- this element 50 or part 50 was usually fitted with a single nozzle at one of its ends, and its reversible function was intended to allow the nozzle to be unblocked by turning the 180 ° piece when the duct was blocked. he it was enough to simply unscrew the part before the pistol, turn part 50, and screw the gun ring back to unclog the part or return it to its spraying function.
- the reversible element or part 50 thus has a upper part 51 of annular shape, having at its upper part a conical surface 52.
- the part 51 has a bore 53 inside it having a threaded part into which is screwed a lower part 54 also having a conical surface 52 identical to that of the part 51.
- the two parts 51 and 54 enclose in the mode of execution of the Figure 9, the two inserts 10 and 11 in opposition aligned by means of the tube 13, and sealed against gasket 12. All of the inserts 10 and 11 is clamped between the two parts 51 and 54, the connection between the two parts being a "screwed connection glued ”.
- the two pieces forming the reversible element 50 could be made of stainless steel, brass or aluminum, and also ferrous and non-ferrous metals ferrous.
- the inserts will preferably be made of tungsten carbide and cut to size slot corresponding to the desired spray angle.
- the invention is not limited to a rotary key, and that the principle of a set two inserts or two spray holes mounted in opposition can be applied to all gun systems with one piece of reversible spraying.
- the invention therefore consists in the concept of placing in a reversible element a spray head, an assembly where two spray holes are placed in opposition. The spray ports will be cut to provide two possibilities different spray flow when flipping the reversible element.
- Spray heads fitted with a reversible key as shown in Figures 1 to 8 obviously represent a ideal application of the invention on the understanding that you can change the nozzle by simply turning the 180 ° key.
- a spray head is shown called TRI-A intended to receive the key described opposite of Figure 8.
- the spray head 60 shown in Figures 10 to 13 includes a central body 61 crossed by the key 30 of the figure 8.
- the key 30 comprises in its part central a sphere 31 crossed by a channel 32 in which the inserts 10 are mounted in opposition and 11.
- the head 60 will not be described in detail, it being understood that it is the subject of the patent European N ° 1.193 011. However the possibilities additional air supply will be described for show the different spray angles that one can get.
- the head 60 present on its upper face two pins 62 and 63 covered by caps 64, 65.
- the pins 62 and 63 protrude the top of the head 60, and are used to provide additional air that hits ball 31 and will thus atomize the jet leaving the nozzle of the insert 10.
- the pins 62 and 63 have two grooves 66, 67 in connection with a supply channel 68, 69, which will be in contact with low pressure air supply controlled by the gun on which the head 60. As shown in Figure 2, the air additional comes out of slots 66 and 67 so as to hit ball 31. The high pressure jet coming out of insert 10 is then disturbed, and the product thus forming the jet is atomized.
- Slots 66 of pins 62 and 63 are horizontal and the slots 67 form an angle of 12 °. This 12 ° angle can vary more or less 5 ° and thus be understood between 7 ° and 17 °.
- the upper part of the head spray 61 still has four air nozzles additional 70, 71, 72 and 73 placed on the side and on the other side of the main slot of the insert 10.
- the four nozzles 70 to 73 are connected to channels supply air 74 and 75 themselves in connection with an annular supply chamber 76 connected to an air supply supplied by the gun.
- the supply channels 74 form a angle of about 55 ° with the horizontal and are arranged in the circumference of the head 60, so air exiting from nozzles 70, 71, 72, and 73 directly strike the main stream of material leaving the nozzle of insert 10 or insert 11 if the key 30 has been rotated 180 °.
- the variation of the additional air coming from the gun thus more or less close the beam principal of insert slot 10 or 11. So, if for example the angle of the spray beam from insert 10 is 90 ° without air additional, as shown in figure 6, said beam can be closed gradually until 30 ° by varying the additional air pressure from the gun.
- the same effect can be obtained on the nozzle of insert 11 whose angle maximum opening is 20 ° and which can be reduced to at least 5 °.
- the head 60 which has just been described, allows thus adapting the high pressure beam from inserts 10 or 11 for all situations and insert 11 and from 20 or 25 ° to 90 °, even 120 ° for insert 10.
