Definitions
- the invention relates to a suction siphon for a drain installation, with a housing, with one arranged in this housing helical flow channel for the to be derived Liquid that runs in a plane that is essentially extends at right angles to an inlet connector and the the inlet opening of this nozzle with an outlet opening combines.
- Suction siphons for drainage installations and especially for Flushing devices have been known for a long time.
- EP 1 170 426 A1 describes a suction siphon for a urinal.
- the siphon has an S-shaped flow channel, which in a plane that is parallel to the direction of inflow.
- the dimensions and in particular the depth of such suction siphons is comparatively large.
- suction siphons that have a helical shape
- An example of such a suction siphon shows DE 195 45 907 A1. This suction siphon is comparative bulky and requires a relatively large amount of flushing water.
- the invention has for its object a suction siphon to create named genus, the more compact and is hydraulically optimized.
- the suction siphon is intended in particular require a smaller amount of rinse water.
- the invention is in a generic suction siphon solved that the flow channel at least in some areas tubular and an almost circular cross-section having.
- the flow channel is not rectangular in cross-section as before, but rather almost circular in cross-section. Under almost circular is also understood slightly oval here.
- a longstanding prejudice is overcome, according to the cross section of the flow channel in the generic suction siphon is to be trained at right angles. It has shown, that with a flow channel that is essentially circular in cross section an improved suction power with a smaller cross-sectional area of the flow channel is reached.
- the needed Flush volume is in the range of 0.8 to 1.5 1 and the swallowing ability is above 0.7 1 / sec.
- With the suction siphon according to the invention significant hydraulic optimization is possible.
- the A flow channel with a circular cross section also enables more compact design of the housing.
- the inlet connection preferably runs when the suction siphon is installed horizontally, while the outlet nozzle is horizontal or can run vertically.
- the cross section essentially circular flow channel also enables the production of a Suction siphons with a particularly aesthetically pleasing harmonic External shape. From the usual box-shaped Training can thus be gained distance.
- the housing consists of at least two shell halves, the interface of the two shells being substantially rectangular runs to the inlet port.
- To one of the bowls is preferably the inlet nozzle and to the other shell the outlet nozzle is molded.
- the suction siphon 1 is used in particular for the drainage of a urinal and especially for a flush-mounted installation, in which the suction siphon 1 between a building wall and a cover for example a plasterboard cover on a frame is assembled. It has a housing 2 consisting of two bowl-shaped halves 3 and 4 is assembled. These two shell-shaped halves 3 and 4 are preferably made of plastic manufactured.
- the front half 3 has an inlet connection 5 on, which extends horizontally in the assembled state. He owns 4, an inlet opening 7 and is connected to one Sanitary body, especially a urinal, connected.
- the one to be derived Liquid flows according to Figure 1 in the direction of the arrow 17 into the opening 7 of the inlet connector 5.
- the inlet connector 5 could also be slightly inclined to the horizontal.
- the rear housing half 4 has an integrally formed outlet connection 6, which extends horizontally according to FIG. 1 and which has a circular outlet opening 8.
- the one to be derived Liquid flows in the direction of arrow 18 from suction siphon 1 away and into a connected disposal line, not shown here.
- the outlet nozzle 6 can also be vertical downwards or at any angle to the horizontal extend. An apprenticeship would also be possible the outlet nozzle 6 is designed to be movable or elastic.
- a tab 9 is formed.
- the two housing halves 3 and 4 are preferably by welding tightly connected. Basically, too other connecting means possible, for example the two Housing halves 3 and 4 screwed or locked together his.
- the separating surface E of the two housing halves 3 and 4 4 runs at right angles to the inflow direction according to FIG Arrow 17.
- the suction siphon 1 has a helical flow channel K, which connects the inlet opening 7 with the outlet opening 8. After a rinsing process, liquid F remains in a lower bend 14 of the flow channel K according to FIG. 3, which forms an odor trap and prevents gas from reaching the inlet opening 7 from the disposal line.
- the flow channel K has a circular and at least slightly oval cross section, as can be seen in particular in FIG. 4.
- the circular or slightly oval design of the flow channel K preferably extends at least from a rounded transition edge 13 of the inlet connector 5 to a transition 21 which leads to the outlet connector 6.
- the edge 13 and the transition 21 are optimally rounded in terms of flow technology.
- the flow channel K is tubular with the mentioned cross section and has the mentioned lower bend 14, an ascending area 15, an upper bend 16, a descending area 17 and the mentioned transition 21.
- the flow channel K is formed by two channel walls K 'and K "of the housing halves 3 and 4, as can be seen in particular in FIG. 4.
- the cross section of the flow channel K can be essentially the same everywhere or decrease continuously in the flow direction, which causes acceleration.
- the cross sectional area of the flow channel K is preferably in the range of 550 up to 750 mm 2 .
- the channel K becomes comparatively fast during a rinsing process and completely filled with liquid.
- Flow channel K When emptying the Flow channel K creates a suction effect due to a negative pressure, through which the flow channel K is largely emptied becomes.
- the odor trap is then replaced by rinsing water re-formed.
- This known suction effect has the advantage of being rinsed with comparatively little water can be.
- the rinsing process hydraulically optimal he follows. A flush that is satisfactory from a hygienic point of view a urinal can be rinsed with water from 0.8 to 1.5 1 can be achieved.
- a rinse with only a liter or even less possible In particular, a rinse with only a liter or even less possible.
- the swallowing ability the suction siphon 1 is more than about 0.7 1 / sec and the flow channel K is nowhere narrower than 20 mm.
- a spherical object with a diameter of 20 mm can thus the flow channel from the inlet opening 7 to Pass through outlet opening 8.
- the inner surface 10 of the flow channel K is from the inlet opening 7 rounded all the way to the outlet.
- the outside surface 11 of the housing 2 corresponds to the inner surface 10 and is therefore also largely rounded. This has the advantage that the outside of the housing 2 is very compact can be what, especially for flush mounting, at which usually little space is available, advantageous is.
- the silhouette of the Sifons 1 essentially oval and therefore particularly compact.
