Definitions
- the invention relates to a waste fitting according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a pop-up waste of this kind is known in the art from the EP 0 446 177 A have become known to the applicant.
- This has a drain pipe, in which a closure plug, a float and a mushroom plug are used.
- the plug can be lifted by a linkage and thereby opens the partition between the riser and the return channel.
- the float forms with a sealing edge of the mushroom plug a check valve, which prevents a withdrawal of any contaminated water in the sanitary apparatus, for example in a sink.
- a similar waste is in the EP-A-0 305 572 which is understood as the closest prior art.
- the DE-U-20 2004 019 780 discloses a drain fitting in which the overflow is integrated in a pool wall.
- the performance of the overflow is essential.
- the performance must be so great that an overflow of the sanitary apparatus can be prevented even if water is continuously introduced into it.
- the power could be increased by a larger cross section of the overflow.
- the existing space for accommodating the overflow is usually very limited and also a larger cross-section would increase the production cost accordingly.
- the invention is based on the object to provide a drain fitting of the type mentioned, the overflow allows a higher performance, the manufacturing cost and space requirements are at least not increased.
- the object is achieved in a generic waste set according to claim 1.
- the overflow fitting according to the invention that with such a cross section of the partition, the transition of the water from the riser channel into the return duct is more favorable in terms of flow than in the case of the previously usual straight overflow edge.
- the flow after the overflow edge is more constant and more laminar than before.
- the cross section of the return channel can be formed smaller than previously by this much cheaper transition.
- the reason for the higher efficiency presumably lies in the fact that, after the overflow edge, air entrapment and separation of the water from the dividing wall immediately after the overflow edge can be largely avoided. It has also been shown that even previously common noise can be largely avoided by the arcuate design of the partition. By reducing trapped air to the overflow edge, corresponding pulsating movements are avoided, resulting in noise reduction.
- the riser is formed substantially rectangular. This allows optimal space utilization.
- the partition wall is integrally formed on a side wall of the outer wall.
- the partition is thus no longer formed as before on opposite side walls but on only one side wall.
- the cross-sectional area of the riser is substantially greater than the cross-sectional area of the return duct of the riser. Due to the more efficient transition into the return channel, the return channel can thus have a cross-section which is substantially smaller than the cross-sectional area of the riser channel.
- the cross-sectional area of the Riser channel is preferably at least 1.3 times larger than the cross-sectional area of the return channel. Even more preferably, the cross-sectional area of the riser channel is about 1.5 times larger than the cross-sectional area of the return channel. This results in optimum performance also in terms of manufacturing costs and space requirements.
- the overflow has a straight and substantially horizontal connecting tube, which is connected at one end to the housing of the drain valve and which can be cut to length at the other end and to which the riser is placed.
- the overflow can be easily and quickly adapted to the installation situation.
- both the connecting tube and the riser are formed substantially straight, which is advantageous in terms of manufacturing.
- the connection of the riser pipe with the connecting pipe takes place with two molded-in plug-in parts, which are sealed with a sealing element in relation to the connecting pipe.
- drain fitting 1 has a drain valve 2, which is fastened with a screw-collar 15 below an opening, not shown here, of a sanitary appliance, such as a sink, sink, a bathtub or a bidets.
- the collar 15 forms a drain opening, over which a removable cover 14 is arranged.
- the valve 2 has a housing 3, on which a connecting tube 27 is formed, which forms an overflow 5 with a riser 12.
- a nozzle 16 is attached, which is connectable to a disposal line, not shown here.
- nozzle 16 also has a rod 18 is mounted a known actuation, with which the in FIG. 3 shown Closure body 11 can be raised.
- the rod 18 extends through a nut 17, according to FIG. 3 is screwed onto the socket 16.
- the closure body 4 has on its underside a sealing surface 25 which cooperates with a valve seat 33.
- a sealing surface 25 which cooperates with a valve seat 33.
- an opening 30 of a partition wall 19 is opened.
- this opening 30 can be closed.
- the closure body 4 can be lifted out of the housing 3.
- the connecting pipe 27 is divided by the partition 19 into an upper channel 6a and a lower channel 6b.
- the channel 6a is connected to a riser channel 6 which extends in the riser 12 substantially vertically and thus substantially perpendicular to the channel 6a.
- the lower channel 6b is connected to a likewise vertically extending in the riser 12 return channel 7.
- the riser 12 is a straight and separately manufactured tube, according to FIG. 3 is attached to the connecting tube 27.
- the riser 12 has two molded plug-in parts 20 and 21, which engage in the channel 6a and 6b and which are sealed with a sealing member 22 relative to the connecting pipe 27.
- the sealing element 22 is in particular a rubber-elastic sealing sleeve.
- a hood-shaped cover 14 On the upper end of the riser 12, a hood-shaped cover 14 is placed, which has a vent valve 13. This valve is in particular a check valve and in itself from the EPO 0 446 177 A known.
- the closure body 4 If the closure body 4 is in the closed position, when the sanitary appliance is filled with water, it enters the channel 6a and rises in the riser pipe 12 in accordance with the level of the water in the sanitary apparatus. Does the water have the in FIG. 3 reached overflow edge 10 is reached, the water flows through this overflow edge 10 in the return channel 7 and finally via the lower channel 7a in the nozzle 16 and from this in the disposal line, not shown.
- the level of water in the sanitary apparatus is thus limited by the height of the overflow edge 10. The level in the sanitary apparatus can thus not increase even if it continues to be supplied with water. If the closure body 4 raised from the closed position with the rod 18, so the water in the sanitary apparatus and also the water in the overflow 5 can flow through the opening 30.
- the riser 12 has an outer wall 8, which is substantially rectangular in cross section, as the FIG. 2 shows.
- the outer wall 8 has two opposite side walls 8a and 8b and narrower also opposite straight side walls 8c and 8d.
- the side wall 8a is curved in an arc outward and has a corresponding curved and convex outer surface 28.
- the partition wall 9 is integrally formed on this side wall 8a.
- the corresponding connection points 29 are arranged at a distance from the side walls 8c and 8d.
- the partition wall 9 is approximately semicircular in cross-section and has an arcuate concave inner surface 31 and a likewise arcuate convex outer surface 32.
- the riser channel 6 is formed as shown substantially U-shaped and surrounds the return channel 7.
- the riser channel 6 as well Return channel 7 are according to FIG. 2 designed so that there are no places where the water has a reduced flow velocity. There are thus no so-called dead spaces in which could develop harmful germs.
- the partition 9 is formed on the side wall 8a so as to extend substantially perpendicular thereto.
- the shown arcuate design of the partition wall 9 has the consequence that the flowing at the overflow edge 10 in the return channel 7 water does not substantially detach from the surface 31 and on this surface 31 substantially no trapped air space is formed.
- the cross-sectional area of the return channel 7 is substantially smaller than the cross-sectional area of the riser channel 6.
- the cross-sectional area of the riser channel 6 is preferably at least 1.3 times greater than the cross-sectional area of the return channel 7
- the cross-sectional area of the riser channel 6 is about 1.5 times greater than the cross-sectional area of the return channel 7
- FIG. 2 shown cross-section ensures a high overflow performance and at the same time avoids low-flow spaces.
- the avoidance of an air space after the overflow edge 10 also has the effect that in the return channel a substantially constant and laminar and less pulsating flow is achieved.
- the flow path in the overflow 5 is thus efficient and quieter than before.

Description
