Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft ein Geschoss für Infanteriemunition nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.
  • Geschosse für Infanteriemunition bestehen bekanntermaßen aus einem Geschosskern mit einer Geschossspitze und einem Metallmantel, wobei der Geschosskern aus Blei besteht. Das Verschießen von Bleigeschossen erzeugt bleistaubhaltige Gase, die gesundheitsschädlich sind. Außerdem gefährdet Blei die Umwelt.
  • US 6,186,071 B1 zeigt ein Geschoss für Infanteriemunition mit einem Geschosskern mit einer Geschossspitze und einem Mantel, wobei der Mantel eine stirnseitig offene Hülse ist, die am Geschosskern anliegt, und die Geschossspitze aus dem Mantel herausragt und am Geschosskern eine Einschnürung angeordnet ist, in die das offene stirnseitige Mantelende hineinragt, und der Boden des Mantels geschlossen ist und am Außenumfang des Geschosskerns zumindest eine Entlastungsrille angeordnet ist und der Mantel im Bereich der Entlastungsrille am Geschosskern anliegt und der Zylinderdurchmesser des Mantels am bugseitigen Ende dem entsprechenden Geschosskaliber entspricht.
  • Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein Geschoss nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 so weiterzubilden, dass eine haltbare Verbindung zwischen Geschosskern und Metallmantel erreicht ist.
  • Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch die Merkmale des Anspruchs 1 gelöst.
  • Dadurch, dass der Mantel ein Metallmantel ist und von hinten auf dem Geschosskern aufgezogen ist, ist eine haltbare Verbindung zwischen Geschosskern und Metallmantel erreicht.
  • Die Einschnürung hält den Metallmantel fest und verhindert ein Abziehen desselben beim Eindringen in ein weiches Medium. Außerdem ist von großem Vorteil, dass das Mantelende hierdurch im Strömungsschatten der Geschossspitze liegt.
  • In vorteilhafter Ausgestaltung der Erfindung besteht der Geschosskern aus härtbarem Stahl, Wolfram, Metallkarbiden, Sintermetallen oder Keramik.
  • Der Metallmantel ist bevorzugt aus Kupfer, einer Kupferlegierung, plattiertem Stahl, Weicheisen oder einer Zink-Zinn-Legierung hergestellt.
  • Am Außenumfang des Geschosskerns ist zumindest eine Entlastungsrille angeordnet, wobei der Metallmantel im Bereich der Entlastungsrille am Geschosskern anliegt. Diese Entlastungsrillen können unterschiedliche Durchmesser und Breiten haben und über die gesamte Länge des Geschosses verteilt angeordnet sein.
  • Eine Drallübertragung erfolgt durch die Geschossabschnitte, deren Durchmesser dem entsprechenden Geschosskaliber entsprechen.
  • Vorteilhaft weist der Boden des Metallmantels eine größere Dicke als die Wandstärke des zylindrischen Teils auf. Die Dicke des Bodens des Metallmantels kann jedoch auch kleiner oder gleich der Dicke der Wandstärke des zylindrischen Teils sein. Der Boden kann konvex oder konkav mit z. B. Radien zwischen 0,5 und 10 Kalibern oder flach sein. Alternativ kann der Boden des Metallmantels auch eine konkave oder konvexe Kegelspitze bilden.
  • Die Heckform des Metallmantels kann konisch ausgebildet sein mit einem Winkel zwischen 0° und 90°. Das Heck ist der an den Boden angrenzende Bereich des Metallmantels.
  • Vorteilhafterweise ist der Geschosskern aufgeraut oder gerändelt, wodurch ein besserer Sitz des Geschossmantels bzw. Metallmantels auf dem Geschosskern erreicht ist.
  • Weitere Merkmale der Erfindung ergeben sich aus der einzigen Figur, die nachfolgend beschrieben ist.
  • Mit dem Bezugszeichen 1 ist der Geschosskern bezeichnet, der aus härtbarem Stahl, Wolfram, Metallkorbiden, Sintermetallen oder Keramik besteht. Der Geschosskern 1 weist eine Geschossspitze 13 auf, die aus einem Metallmantel 2 herausragt.
  • Der Metallmantel 2 besteht entweder aus Kupfer, einer Kufperlegierung, plattiertem Stahl, Weicheisen oder einer Zink- Zinn- Legierung. Es sind jedoch auch andere Metalle denkbar.
  • Der Metallmantel 2 ist von hinten, also vom Heck 12 auf den Geschosskern 1 aufgezogen, wobei die Geschossspitze 13, wie schon erwähnt, freiliegt.
  • Zur dauerhaften Befestigung ist am Geschosskern 1 eine Einschnürung 4 angeordnet, in die das offene stirnseitige Mantelende 5 hineinragt. Hierdurch liegt das Mantelende 5 im Strömungsschatten der Geschossspitze 13.
  • Der Durchmesser der Geschossspitze ist kleiner als der Felddurchmesser.
  • Am Außenumfang des Geschosskerns 1 ist in diesem speziellen Falle eine einzige Entlastungsrille 7 vorgesehen, wobei der Metallmantel 2 am Geschosskern 1 anliegt. Es kann jedoch auch eine Ausführungsform mit mehreren Entlastungsrillen gewählt werden, z. B. mit unterschiedlichen Breiten und Durchmessern.
  • Eine Drallübertragung erfolgt durch Geschossabschnitte deren Zylinderdurchmesser dem entsprechenden Geschosskaliber entsprechen (siehe z. B. Abschnitte 9).
  • Der Boden 10 des Metallmantels 2 weist eine größere Dicke als die Wandstärke im zylindrischen Bereich auf. In diesem Ausführungsbeispiel ist der Boden flach ausgebildet. Er kann jedoch auch konvex oder konkav mit Radien zwischen 0,5 und 10 Kalibern ausgebildet sein. Die Bodenform kann auch als konvexe oder konkave Kegelspitze ausgeprägt sein.
  • Das an den Boden angrenzende Heck 12 ist in der hier gezeigten Ausführungsform zylindrisch ausgebildet. Es kann jedoch auch konisch geformt sein.
  • Die Geschossspitze kann jede übliche Form aufweisen, d. h. spitz bis abgeflacht.

Claims (8)

  1. Geschoss für Infanteriemunition mit einem Geschosskern (1) mit einer Geschossspitze (13) und einem Mantel (2), wobei der Mantel (2) eine stirnseitig offene Hülse ist, die am Geschosskern (1) anliegt, und die Geschossspitze (13) aus dem Mantel (2) herausragt und am Geschosskern (1) eine Einschnürung (4) angeordnet ist, in die das offene stirnseitige Mantelende (5) hineinragt, und der Boden (10) des Mantels (2) geschlossen ist und am Außenumfang des Geschosskerns (1) zumindest eine Entlastungsrille (7) angeordnet ist und der Mantel (2) im Bereich der Entlastungsrille (7) am Geschosskern (1) anliegt und der Zylinderdurchmesser des Mantels (2) am bugseitigen Ende dem entsprechenden Geschosskaliber entspricht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Mantel (2) ein Metallmantel ist und von hinten auf den Geschosskern (1) aufgezogen ist und der Zylinderdurchmesser des Mantels (2) am an den Boden (10) angrenzendem Heck (12) dem entsprechenden Geschosskaliber entspricht und der Außenumfang des Mantels (2) an der Entlastungsrille (7) gegenüber dem Geschosskaliber eingezogen ist.
  2. Geschoss nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Geschosskern (1) aus härtbarem Stahl, Wolfram, Metallkarbiden, Sintermetallen oder Keramik besteht.
  3. Geschoss nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Mantel (2) aus Kupfer, einer Kupferlegierung, plattiertem Stahl, Weicheisen oder einer Zink-Zinn-Legierung besteht.
  4. Geschoss nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Boden (10) des Mantels (2) eine größere Dicke als die Wandstärke des zylindrischen Teils aufweist.
  5. Geschoss nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Boden (10) des Mantels (2) konvex oder konkav mit Radien zwischen 0,5 und 1,0 Kalibern oder flach ist.
  6. Geschoss nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Boden (10) des Mantels (2) eine konkave oder konvexe Kegelspitze bildet.
  7. Geschoss nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Heckform des Mantels (2) konisch ausgebildet ist mit Winkeln zwischen 0° und 90°.
  8. Geschoss nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Geschosskern (1) aufgeraut oder gerändelt ist.
