Definitions

  • the invention relates to a bullet for infantry ammunition according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Bullets for infantry ammunition are known to consist of a bullet core with a bullet tip and a metal shell, wherein the bullet core is made of lead.
  • the shooting of lead bullets produces gases containing gases which are harmful to health.
  • lead endangers the environment.
  • US 6,186,071 B1 shows a bullet for infantry ammunition with a bullet core with a bullet tip and a coat
  • the jacket is a frontally open sleeve which rests against the projectile core
  • projecting the projectile nose from the shell and the bullet core is arranged a constriction into which the open end-side coat end protrudes
  • the bottom of the shell is closed and at the outer periphery of the projectile core at least one relief groove is arranged and the jacket rests in the region of the relief groove on the projectile core and the cylinder diameter of the shell at the bow end corresponds to the corresponding bullet caliber.
  • the invention has the object of developing a projectile according to the preamble of claim 1 so that a durable connection between bullet core and metal jacket is reached.
  • the jacket is a metal jacket and reared on the bullet core, a durable connection between bullet core and metal shell is achieved.
  • constriction holds the metal shell tight and prevents it from peeling off when penetrating a soft medium.
  • sheath end thereby lies in the flow shadow of the projectile nose.
  • the projectile core consists of hardenable steel, tungsten, metal carbides, sintered metals or ceramics.
  • the metal shell is preferably made of copper, a copper alloy, plated steel, soft iron or a zinc-tin alloy.
  • At least one relief groove is arranged on the outer circumference of the projectile core, with the metal jacket resting against the projectile core in the region of the relief groove.
  • These relief grooves may have different diameters and widths and be distributed over the entire length of the projectile.
  • a swirl transmission takes place through the projectile sections whose diameters correspond to the corresponding bullet caliber.
  • the bottom of the metal shell has a greater thickness than the wall thickness of the cylindrical part.
  • the thickness of the bottom of the metal shell can also be less than or equal to the thickness of the wall thickness of the cylindrical part.
  • the floor may be convex or concave with z. B. radii between 0.5 and 10 calibers or flat.
  • the bottom of the metal shell may also form a concave or convex apex.
  • the rear shape of the metal shell may be conical with an angle between 0 ° and 90 °.
  • the stern is the area of the metal shell adjacent to the floor.
  • the bullet core is roughened or knurled, whereby a better fit of the bullet jacket or metal shell is achieved on the bullet core.
  • the reference numeral 1 denotes the projectile core, which consists of hardenable steel, tungsten, metal basket, sintered metal or ceramic.
  • the projectile core 1 has a projectile nose 13, which protrudes from a metal shell 2.
  • the metal shell 2 consists of either copper, a copper alloy, plated steel, soft iron or a zinc-tin alloy. However, other metals are also conceivable.
  • the metal shell 2 is mounted from the rear, so from the rear 12 on the bullet core 1, wherein the projectile nose 13, as already mentioned, exposed.
  • a constriction 4 is arranged on the projectile core 1, in which the open end-side shell end 5 protrudes.
  • the jacket end 5 lies in the flow shadow of the projectile tip 13.
  • the diameter of the projectile nose is smaller than the field diameter.
  • a single relief groove 7 is provided on the outer circumference of the projectile core 1.
  • a swirl transfer takes place through projectile sections whose cylinder diameters correspond to the corresponding bullet caliber (see eg sections 9).
  • the bottom 10 of the metal shell 2 has a greater thickness than the wall thickness in the cylindrical region.
  • the bottom is formed flat. However, it may also be formed convex or concave with radii between 0.5 and 10 calibers. The bottom shape may also be pronounced as a convex or concave cone point.
  • the tail 12 adjacent the floor is cylindrical in the embodiment shown here. However, it can also be conically shaped.
  • the projectile nose may be of any conventional shape, i. H. pointed to flattened.
