Definitions
- the invention relates to a heating device and radiator elements, the parts of the Are heater.
- the invention further relates to an associated manufacturing method.
- the invention relates to such heaters for Air heating can be used.
- heaters or radiators for heating used by interior and engine.
- heaters are also for others Suitable for a wide range of applications, for example in the field of house installations (room air conditioning), industrial plants and the like.
- heating devices in particular those with PTC heating elements (Positive temperature coefficient, positive temperature coefficient, PTC thermistor), via radiator elements that serve to dissipate heat.
- PTC heating elements Positive temperature coefficient, positive temperature coefficient, PTC thermistor
- radiator elements that serve to dissipate heat.
- The is supported Heat dissipation through an air flow generated by a fan.
- radiator elements are known in various designs.
- many conventional radiator elements have fins attached to the retaining plates or cover plates are soldered or otherwise mechanically attached to them.
- the production of soldered designs requires a very high level of effort and is also not process-reliable, since often not all contact points of the slats are soldered on and therefore there is no uniform heat dissipation. hereby can even influence the heat output of the (PTC) radiator so much that the radiator is no longer within the specified specification operated.
- a radiator is known from EP 0 575 649 B1 which forms prefabricated units contains assembled heating elements made of riveted sheet metal strips exist that include a slat band.
- the PTC elements used are held in windows or openings in plastic frames.
- heating elements carrying PTC elements are layered with corrugated fins.
- the position of the corrugated fins between the heating elements serves as projections on the sheets that surround the PTC elements. This measure also does not work for an improved assembly.
- EP 0 379 873 A2 describes a device for heating gases under Use of PTC elements, which are contained in a frame part, the U-profile is located and covered by a cover plate.
- the arrangement to sit Heat is given off to the surrounding air by frictional lamellae leading to this Have a breakthrough for the purpose. This does indeed result in heating units created, the heat output fins sit on clamped, but one can assemble such a device also only with great effort, since the slats are pushed on individually Need to become. In addition, the arrangement is not very stable and leaves do not stratify easily.
- EP 1 061 776 A1 describes a heating device for heating the air Position frame with means for snap-locking latching of Radiator elements and electrode sheets.
- the positioning frames enable the Assembly into radiator assemblies, which are then layered or stacked can be.
- PTC elements are used as heating elements.
- For fixing of lamellar elements on radiator sheets serve crimp plates.
- the invention is based on the object a heating device, a radiator element and an associated method with improved Specify mounting properties.
- the radiator element comprises at least one lamella element (or corrugated fin element) and a radiator plate (or holding plate), the radiator plate at least two edges protrusions for fastening the lamella element to the radiator plate having.
- the projections can be used to attach the lamella element are bent and have a notch to facilitate bending along the edge.
- the manufacturing method comprises the provision of at least one lamella element and a radiator sheet which has projections on at least two edges Attachment of the lamellar element on the radiator plate. It will at least one notch is attached to the projections along the respective edge and then placed the lamella element on the radiator plate. Finally the projections are bent to fasten the lamella element.
- the invention is advantageous because it uses radiator elements made from a radiator sheet and a lamella element are formed.
- the corrugated fin shape of the lamella elements can be manufactured inexpensively and leads to a low overall weight and enables due to the channels formed by them as well as the large ones Surface of the lamella elements the heat emission to the air flowing in particularly cheap way.
- the notching of the protrusions facilitates the bending process, as with the notching a material displacement goes hand in hand that enables that when pressing the projections on the inserted slat element no crushing of material occur.
- a crushing or throwing of material in this Bending area would prevent the flat contact of the lamellae on the sheet that the slats are not held securely when the projections are pressed on from the side could become.
- the invention is Notch technique advantageous, since otherwise only corresponding bends would be feasible with the greatest effort.
- an elongated protrusion design is an additional advantage an improved strength of pre-assembled modules. Furthermore, on this way a safe thermal contact between the lamella element and the radiator sheet, so that the desired heat output is reliable can be achieved and maintained. In addition, the advantage is achieved that the assembly of the radiator elements can be done quickly, automatically and therefore also inexpensively can. This technology is particularly advantageous for very large heating elements.
- a configuration of the projections over the entire length of the radiator plate or Slat element leads to a particularly stable and compact unit.
- the risk of injury during assembly is reduced because there is little or no risk cantilevered elements occur.
- the notch has a length that is the length of the edge of the radiator sheet corresponds, in particular no transverse or shear forces occur during the Bending process could lead to warping of the radiator sheet.
- a notch is particularly advantageous if it is deeper than half the sheet thickness takes place because in this way the material displacement during the bending process in particularly suitable extent.
- a particularly advantageous assembly skill can be achieved if the length of the Projection perpendicular to the edge course, i.e. the length of the projection to be bent, in the order of magnitude of the radiator sheet thickness. There are also the assembly properties against the assembly strength to be achieved and the material consumption optimally weighed.
- a particularly advantageous projection length is 0.4 mm with a sheet thickness of 0.5 mm.
- the lamellar element has a plurality of lamellar lamellas and it is attached to the radiator plate so that adjacent slats abut each other, so the same number of meanders (or lamellas or wave ribs) over a PTC element.
- the number of meanders that in the area of a PTC heating element is crucial for the thermal Efficiency and therefore also for the heating output.
- advantageously increases the operational reliability of the heating device.
- a position frame If a position frame is used, the it enables radiator elements to be clipped or clipped onto position frames, i.e. Ready to connect snap-in connection, prefabricated units are created without special care is easy to handle. Because these prefabricated units also include the radiator elements, the number of for the assembly of the heater required parts reduced. These few prefabricated radiator assemblies can then be stacked quickly and by hand. Particularly advantageous the invention is therefore for thin PTC elements that have a thickness of about 1.1 mm and special manual care in conventional arrangements require.
- Rivet connections for current-carrying Parts result in a contact resistance that leads to the failure of a heating element can lead. Rivet connections of different materials are particularly problematic.
- a rivetless arrangement is particularly advantageous for large heating elements Heating power (1,500 W, 12 V / 125 A), where the introduction of electricity is special Importance. Avoiding riveted joints is also special advantageous for heating elements with only one ground connection, as in corresponding conventional arrangements, the entire heating current via a single rivet connection is initiated.
- Clip lugs and corresponding recesses in the positioning frame allow in an advantageous manner How the position-secure and twist-proof mounting of the radiator element.
- radiator elements clicking enables the prefabrication of a variety of different radiator assemblies and further increases the suitability for assembly.
- connection lugs allow a variety of Connection techniques for electrical power supply.
- angled Connection lugs advantageous for both welding connections and plug connections.
- the position frame can accommodate the at least one PTC element Have breakthroughs that are inexpensive to manufacture and to reduce weight contribute.
- the positioning frame has bulges on its end faces, this will result in the positional security of the radiator elements is further promoted. Bulges on the face and the side edges of the positioning frame also lead advantageously for a silent redirection of the air flow.
- the positioning frame is made of glass fiber reinforced polyamide, the Advantages of high stability and high temperature resistance with the favorable properties the precise manufacturability and low thermal expansion combined.
- radiator plate is simple in addition to the power supply can be used, what the combination possibility prefabricated assemblies during the assembly of the heater further promotes.
- the final assembly is hereby advantageously the heating device significantly favored.
- a Heating device created largely without complex screw or rivet connections is producible.
- An additional holding bar further stiffens the overall arrangement and thus allows in advantageously the use of further increased spring forces.
