Definitions
- the invention relates to a lane limitation for multi-lane Roadways, consisting of an essentially horizontal, extending in the longitudinal direction of the beam and from from spaced posts, at the upper ends of the Profile carrier is attached.
- guardrail systems Such lane boundaries have long been known as so-called guardrail systems known and have on highways and highways the task of a sideways breakout of the vehicles over the roadside prevent beyond.
- These systems are permanently installed i.e. the rigid metal posts are firmly anchored in the subsurface and the individual segments of the guard rails designed as profile beams are firmly connected to each other to form a continuous rail connected.
- barriers to blocking have been known for a long time Blocking off, for example, border crossings, access roads military exclusion zones and other security-related areas Systems are used. These barriers consist of one or even several high-strength locking segments that run across the street are sunk in the floor and, if necessary, with the help of e.g. hydraulic jacks to lift a vehicle to prevent the passage.
- the object of the invention is a lane limitation for multi-lane To create roadways, especially motorways, through the risk of serious traffic accidents and therefore also the causes of extreme fires in road tunnels are significantly reduced becomes.
- This object is achieved in that the profile carrier by means of the pillars between a road level Crossing position and a raised limit position can be raised and lowered.
- the invention thus relates to a lane limitation for multi-lane carriageways consisting of an essentially horizontal, extending continuously in the longitudinal direction of the road Profile carrier exists, which is provided at predetermined intervals rigid post is mounted, this profile beam by means of the post from an upper one, which limits the direction of traffic Normal position in a lower one, located at road level Passing over position is movable, in which e.g. for extra wide Heavy load transportation both lanes are available.
- the profile carrier in this way at the upper ends of the posts to arrange that in the run-over position a level closure of the The upper edge of the profile beam with the level of the road surface is created, so that the lane boundary can be safely crossed.
- the profile carrier should sufficient height in its raised limit position and have transverse strength to safely prevent passenger vehicles and also commercial vehicles in the event of a collision overcome and get on the opposite lane.
- the profile beam should be made from guardrail systems have known protective functions, in particular in the Road tunnels that somewhat decreased compared to normal roads Road width affects, as a skidding vehicle at a more acute angle to the lane boundary or strikes the profile beam, which correspondingly reduced shear force components causes.
- this mechanical protection function causes the lane limitation according to the invention also an essential safety psychological effect on vehicle drivers, since this is now due to the continuous boundaries on both sides the tunnel carriageway have the feeling of driving in a "canal" and no longer from oncoming traffic through e.g.
- An expedient embodiment of the invention includes one in the Roadway expediently running in the middle of the roadway Slot trench to accommodate the posts and the support profile in their lowered position.
- the width of this trench is small larger than the width of the profile beam, so that the slot trench is covered by the lowered profile beam and thereby can easily be run over by the vehicles.
- the width and contour of this trench should be chosen so that not only the posts and the beam, but also others Operating units are protected against external influences can be.
- this trench can be lined with robust sheet metal or made of concrete his.
- each boundary element a profile beam and at least two lifting and lowering posts having.
- the division of the lane boundary into a variety of delimiting segments arranged in a row one behind the other has a number of advantages because each segment is separate can be manufactured and installed, whatever the assembly and also the maintenance of the entire system is simplified. Especially after the profile beam has been deformed by the impact a segment can be expanded and be replaced by a new one. Furthermore, individual Segments can be lowered, for example at a construction site to create a passage for vehicles.
- the lifting and also Lowering movement of the profile beam takes place evenly, independently whether the profile beam is in one piece over its entire length is or consists of support segments.
- the even raise and lowering of the profile beam is achieved by at least a control device which is based on the drives of the respective Post acts and a synchronization of their lifting and lowering movements causes.
- the profile beam itself can have different cross-sectional shapes.
- the profile carrier has one U-shaped cross section, the legs of which are on both sides of the Extend the post.
- the top can with the known median markings be provided so that when lowered, in which the top of the profile beam is flush with the road, gives the impression of a normal street scene.

- the sides of the profile cross section Have the shape of a lying W. It is also beneficial between the legs of a profile energy-absorbing deformation body provided.
- the profile carrier can also be designed in several parts, the connection of the individual profile parts with each other and / or with the posts by means of elastic or deformable parts can be done to dampen the impact of an impact.
- An advantageous one Design of the lane boundary provides for one Longitudinal profile, preferably in the form of a lying W, on both sides the post in the longitudinal direction of the road.
- a horizontal cover may be provided at the top of the Post is attached and in the lowered position of the lane boundary is flush with the road to a level To achieve area to run over.
- cover plate under the profile carrier to cover the slot trench when the profile beam is raised, to prevent objects from entering the To prevent trench.
- the cover plate can be attached to the lifting post, raised or lowered to close the slot trench in the raised position.
- Another useful embodiment of the invention provides additional lifting cylinders, which the cover plate when extended Raise or lower profile support 4. These additional lifting cylinders can be supplied by the same hydraulic unit that operates the lifting posts. It can also be an advantage further sealants for sealing between cover plate and trench, such as a flexible rubber lip to provide to prevent liquids from entering the trench. In order to drain any liquids in the trench, it is also advisable to drain the water at suitable points to be provided and to provide the slot trench with a slope, which allows liquids to flow to the drains.
- FIG. 1 For example, top-opening ones Cover flaps possible, which when the profile carrier is lowered Cover the slot trench and allow it to be driven over.
- the cover flaps can be designed in such a way that they can also be raised Profile beams can be closed to the trench cover, or remain in the open position to a side Form the boundary of the roadway to the trench.
- the drive units are expediently those that can be raised and lowered Post to a supply line that is protected in the trench connected.
- the trench allows supply lines from mechanical damage, for example by colliding vehicles, and protect them on simple Way along the entire lane boundary of the drive units supply.
- the total lane boundary, including the supply line, the drive units and the hydraulic lines between drive units and lifting posts, can be arranged compactly in the slot trench, which requires space and the effort for installing the lane boundary is reduced.
- the lane boundary can be a monitoring device be provided which include the states of the individual segments of the Lane limitation determined. If necessary, the monitoring device individual segments or entire sections of the route the lane boundary from the boundary position to the Crossing position can be lowered, for example, at one Accident or a construction site dodging vehicles on one to allow other lane.
- the monitoring device can be central, for example for the entire lane boundary of a tunnel, or be provided in sections.
- a particularly advantageous development of the invention provides that the hydraulic cylinders of the lifting posts are used in counterbores that have been placed in the bottom of the trench. Since the elongated cylinders are in their own holes and not in Trench, the required depth for the trench be reduced. This arrangement in particular retrofitting existing tunnels with the lane boundary relieved, since only a relatively shallow trench in the middle of the lane excavated and countersunk holes spaced between the posts must be introduced.
